The Sartorialist photo exhibit moves to Adamson Gallery in Washington DC
I am thrilled to announce that my exhibit (which just closed at Danziger Projects in New York, thanks James!) will now move to Adamson Gallery in Washington D.C.
We are trying to schedule an "opening" but I am going to India in mid-March (more about that soon) so I will keep you posted on when that will happen.
Here are the details for the exhibit.

On the Street.....Bold Layers, NYC

This look is taken to a whole new level with the unexpected layer of bold blue in a basically neutrally colored/colorless look.
Again, if you take this photo as inspiration you can achieve a similar feel at almost any price point, in almost an city around American or the world.
Maybe the coat is replaced by a green parka or the shoes are different, the specifics of the look matter less than the idea of what a brilliant pop of unexpected color can do to elevate a look.
To me, that is the inspiration of a look like this, the actual cost of the items or the fact that she is an editor is irrelevant.

YES!!!!!!!
Giants! Giants! Giants!
Giants quaterback Eli Manning had to publicly put up with a lot of second-guessers all season but he quietly marched forward to win it all this season.
His example is an inspiration that crosses the boundary of sports.
Today I am going to tell my young daughters about this as an example of how to handle difficult situations with dignity, determination and confidence.

Just My Luck...
With all the great things happening for me lately, fate was bound to soon step in and slap me around.
Friday it rained sideways almost all day, everyone looked miserable, and I ended up getting no shots at all, plus I dropped my blackberry down an elevator shaft. The screen was still lit so I could watch it fall the whole way down - painful.
Saturday was beautiful, i got a lot of great shots but when I got home something happened to the card and all images were corrupted. In those shots was an image of Michael Stipe of REM. I am a huge REM fan so losing that shot really hurt. The fact that he knew about my blog and looks at it occasionally was the only highlight of the day.
So wish me luck today. I know the blog has been a little men's heavy this week but women's collections just started so the mix will even out this week.
Go Giants!!
