luv her whole look too..

the epitome of literary chic.
I think this is a great picture of a very pretty girl wearing and interesting mixture of garments, than whether they work or they don’t work, they make her look much older and unattractive than what she really is.
Love it -- fashion-forward and individual. Wish women here in Rome were as subtle and stylish!
Beautiful - if there was ever anything like an Italian Englishness, it looked like this! Love it!
This is the first photo that I've seen that doesn't look as nice when enlarged. I think because of the too-short brown boots, which don't really go with anything else, the outfit ends up looking like a bit of a jumbled mess. I love the scarf , specs and the picture itself, but the subject's outfit overall is not very good.
Energie
between the glasses, the boots, the printed dress, the blazer, the gloves, and the scarf, she has taken what every hipster and hipster wannabe has done and given it her own twist
she has amazing style
those glasses suit her very well
i also forgot to mention:
the intricate way she has tied her scarf makes her entire outfit more interesting
she has put her own personality into it
I'm so in love with her boots!
Beautiful girl! I like the calmness and dark shades in the picure, and her clothes is just fantastic. She wears it well from head to toe!
I think I have spent more time with this picture than any other one on this site. I don't know where to start. The boots, the skirt, the jacket... Or her beatific smile.
looks like art. so beautiful.
sart, you're really doing nothing to cure me of my geek girl fetish.
all I want to say is WOW! Great outfit, and an even greater shot of it!
iloveit! colours, patterns, smile like she's in on something, even the glasses! love it.
Love her specs.
Outstanding photo! I can't recall anything like that among all your previous pics. It's like painting, absolutely gorgeous.
Wonderful colour palette in the girl's outfit, but generally I find her look a little bit overdone. Enough is enough.
And these huge glasses - oh gosh, they are hideous (ok, funny too), but, I know, I know, they are so 'trendy' nowadays and one HAS to wear them no matter what...
LOVE LOVE LOVE her shoes. Where are they from? Need them, want them! Beautiful lighting... looks like an old painting with the black background.
I love all the pictures you have been taking of this Euro-gypsy look lately!
This is how our family dresses!!
She looks like Absolutely Fabulous' Saffy reloaded. Love the gloves, belt, scarf and boots. Great look.
Wow. Actual flesh on her bones.
This looks, to me, like armour. Fasion going into battle. Look at all the barriers.
I like the picture. As for the clothing... correct.
love the vintage (-y?) brwn boots and the insouciant way the scarf is tied.
who'd a think putting a plaid shirt and floral skirt together would work so well?
Love the look, the gloves and scarf are my style... but she should do herself a favour and change those glasses
Look at that face! She is precious! The large frames suit her perfectly.
I love this ensemble - I would never choose (or even think of!) this combination for me but it works on her beautifully.
Librarian-chic! Love her specs!
this looks kind of fashion victumy to me.there is too much going on: the balenciaga scarf, the jacket, the belt, the long gloves. This look needs editing..perhaps the gloves or the scarf......the glasses are great howeveraakuazz
beautiful composition.
Geek chic..magnifique!
T.
love her.
Although the exposed plaid shirt sleeves add interest, seems to me that keeping her jacket sleeves hiked up when she's active rather than posing would be impractical. Other than that, very nice.
I can't get over those glasses. I used to have ones just like that when I was a gawky 15 year old and all the other kids were mean to me. I can't believe that these horrors are being reclaimed. Still if I looked as nice as this when wearing them, then maybe no one would have teased me.
And btw this is the most unCavalli type outfit that I could imagine - charmingly fusty. Did she stand out at the show??
che bella natalia!
benvenuto a mio blog!
www.easychic-ali.blogspot.com
I love this ensemble--it's so rich and deep. It holds the attention without screaming to be noticed.
A beautiful photo!
I can't even look at the clothes; the composition is too striking!
I do, however, think that if she wasn't cute as a button it wouldn't work so well.
One of your better shots, though.
Caravaggio!
Chad
What's coming to mind here is 'sexy secretary'.
This outfit is perfect.
I guess there are ideas to pick up on here. But it's funny how I find these fashionista pics to be the least interesting. They're almost too perfect, too fahionable. Here, for instance, I see a collection of trends: the footwear, belted jacket, long gloves, big glasses, and so on. It's artfully put together, but in the end, all so, well, predictable.
It's the more surprising street style that truly inspires me.
beautiful shades of blue! what a pretty outfir, very european femme. love love love her glasses. While I think it adds a bit of flare I think that the outfit would look better without the plaid shirt poking through. Sart, have you ever considered shooting ad campaigns for bottega veneta?
I really love this mix a lot. It's charming and looks fairly warm.
gorgeous shot
Mrs Anderson from religion class, is that you?
Once more an artistic way of wearing a scarf! Batches the combo.
Like the different blue shades of the scarf. Great pic.
even though the light is quite low, she looks perfect ! i love the glasses and the skirt ! wonderful !
i love all the textures and patterns .. very geek chic.
sigh. she's lovely, there really isn't anything else one could say.
Me encanta el fondo oscuro, da mayor teatralidad a la foto, lleva piezas que todas tenemos en nuestro armario pero que pocas sabemos combinar, muy everwood, parece una chica de mi conservatorio, where are you cello?
gorgeous !
This is so perfect! Wonderful layering, and love the florals!
I wish i had the confidence to dress like this! but i really dislike the belted waist, it makes her look much larger than she is. amazing glasses and layering on the arms.
great combination!
her boots are love. aged with character. she has such whimsy within her face.
i am officially obsessed with her boots. they are perfection!
Wonderful colors and structures!!
And such a cute face. I like the contrast to the glasses. Makes me think of alice in wonderland.
Inspiration : ) Thanks!
simply gorgeous!
Like a Caravaggio painting...beautiful!
it shouldn't work- but it does.
What a beautiful picture! I'm so jealous of people that can put together different prints and textures in ways that work so perfectly--I wish I had that talent. I love the glasses too! She looks great.
Baglady chic!
What makes this scarf a "Balenciaga" as opposed to just a scarf from her closet?
Since I dropped his name about 10 days ago when referring to the classic Balenciage Cocoon coat, his name's cropped up about 10 times
I think this girl stole my clothes! I love it. I can't believe how similar our styles are, right down to the glasses.
The reason this photo really works for me is because her face really pops out from all the blues and blacks in the background and clothes she wore. It's like, suddenly, there is a burst of light colors in a sea of dark.
Again, I think this is another example of a beautiful picture of a frumpy outfit. Think about how beautiful this girl could be if she weren't wearing more layers than my 90 year old russian grandmother.
beautiful compositin. the skirt is, i'm sorry, plain ugly and very unflattering on such a pretty girl.
Awful, messy and really frumpy-looking. Make bulky scarf trend end NOW.
Why are they all trying too hard??
But she looks nice, though. I have to admit...
But I think it's the good work of the photographer...that makes this lady look really, really cool.
I like the light in the photograph; I agree with gabriela: she could be pretty if she didn't look so old. I don't find it fashion forward at all. Oh well.
What an incredible portrait!
Perfection. Baglady? I have never seen one who is this well assembled. Beautiful subject and beautiful shot.
love love love it!
love!!!
i could look at her eyebrows all day--she's sweet nerd looking
SHOOOOOOOOOOT this is good.
If I could, I'd emulate everything. The navy in its various manifestations is inspired. I love the tartan peeking out mixed with the floral.
I never thought I'd be wowed by the eighties-remixed round frames, but it absolutely suits the look.
Is this woman a model or a real person?
reminds me of the movie "sabrina". she's transitioning from a frumpy little girl to a fashionable woman. she's mid-Metamorphosis.
joan didion-esque. gorgeous.
let down your hair, lovely. and maybe wash it.
I am loving the vintage look. Could have probably used a coat though!
Scarf not Balenciaga!
Plaid ok with flower print! Bravo for effort...who would not make an effort if you happened to be at the a/i in Milano? Even the guys in the front row in their precisely chosen jeans and orange tans are trying not to be trying so hard. Anna Wintour et al don't look like they're trying?
I'm a bit baffled. I really don't like this look as a whole. The scarf is gorgeous, and the rest of the pieces look nice...but all together? Ummmm. Not so much. If she wasn't wearing the jacket, she'd look like a grunge throwback who got dressed in the dark (but with nicer shoes). Also, I personally detest the whole brown boots with black tights trend. Of the many pictures I've seen of it, there's been maybe one picture where it actually looked pretty good. Though I suspect if there was a different skirt that didn't clash quite so spectacularly with the shirt, it could be a really great combination (even with the brown boots, black tights combo).
tee hee hee! i love when girls dress for each other!
This is my all time favorite. Woooow. Her style is brilliant!
how did she tie here scarf like that? i would like to learn!
beautiful photo composition! neat way to tie a nice scarf.
everything else is ugly gypsy looking.
granny chic!
i LOVE everything little thing about this. I LOVE IT. my favorite of yours EVER.
true story..more fashion oldies/classic than fashion forward. Wonderful shot nonetheless
the photo it beautiful, but once you take a close look there are too many things trying to take your attention.. she could lose a couple of accessories (or layers) and still make it work
wow!
the hundred dresses - I think you're right! Never thought about it that way (-girls dressing for girls sometimes). : )
The photo itself is gorgeous! Like an old Flemish painting. The "sexy librarian trying too hard" outfit - interesting, but too fussy for me.
I'm not sure about this yet, but I wanted to comment on the beauty of the photograph. What a great contrast against the backdrop. The light on her face is great!
amor...
That scarf!
Love it... stylish chic, and wonderful ...well done
beautiful, amazing...love the style.
I just love that you found her at Roberto Cavalli of all places!
-- desertwind
its the photograph (the photographer), not the outfit. i dread the day those glasses are back in fashion. but, sart sure knows how to take pictures!
I am completely in love with this woman.
She is not a 6-foot blonde model who would look good in a potato sack. She is not hipster. She is not sexy-librarian. She is not trend monkey.
It's the female version of men's casual wear- a jacket, shirt, gloves, scarf, all of different textures and patterns, both painstackingly and carelessly put together.
Were I a man, I would propose marriage.
Trying to hard to...look like a grandma? Like the boots though
so beautifull
Your pics are very good. Keep up the good work!
It´s like un old lady. Isn´t it?But it´s lovely.
I link to my blog if you don´t mind.
PERFECT shot.
i love it je vasi aller m'acheter une jupe a fleurs et des bottes à talons
the look
This is a great photo. The girl is lovely, and the clothes are an interesting and eclectic of classics. She looks a bit frumpy, but bookish and intelligent too. I love the scarf, and the glasses are cute. The boots don't quite work for me, though...but I'm not sure why. Something about them just seems awkward.
beautiful, beautiful photograph. the lighting is gorgeous, as is she. something very calm and at ease about the photo and individual. she looks like she thinks: of course someone would want to photograph me, i look stunning. but also somehow modest too??
i like the way her left side blends into the background. good eye!
she looks just like "the girl" from Once! love the boots, and the red plaid that's sticking out from under her blazer... us in America need to take style lessons from her
Really horrible! Such a nice girl hurts herself with all those granny cloths
dying for those glasses, even though I don't need glasses!
divine
I think this girl is beautiful. I love her glasses, the way she has tied her scarf, the burst of colour between her gloves and navy jacket - I think it is all very interesting, but a little too old for her perhaps.
She is attractive, but too much going on (wanna-be grandmother?)
i just realized that you have the air of a oliviero toscani, not in the conceptual but rather photo technical aspect. the image looks, despite what a previous commentator said, impressive enlarged.
To a large degree this style was done in the late seventies. The long flowered skirt, the boots and scarf. However the gloves and the big glasses just bring it up to date. She looks charming and stylish. Great shot.
She's a perfect example of fashion IQ. This works on her, she has a beauty and style that effuse warmth and whimsy and don't hit one over the head like some fashionista
with shiny, blunt objects.
This is clearly a polarizing outfit. It's just alright for me. My biggest problem is the sheer weight of it all. It's easy to throw on a lot of clothes and be warm and somewhat chic...it's not so easy to do so and still come out looking like you're wearing your clothes rather than them wearing you. And she looks rather buried under this marvelous canvas of fabric. Heavy. Makes my shoulders hurt. LOVE that jacket though.
this is beautiful.
outfits like this make me want to get dressed in the morning.
Her shoes look great. That´s about it.
Who out there in the world of eyeglass makers are doing this style best? I love the two girls in January's selection as well.
superb! everything, beautiful picture, beautiful outfit,....
she reminds me of my dreams...
clothes dreams!
This is straight out of Hannah and Her Sisters...Dianne Wiest and Carrie Fisher!
I actually think everything is just in the right place...the colors-coordination especially is great.
It's so refreshing after seeing similar things over and over again.
This is a picture of a girl wearing items that normally you would think that wouldn't go together. But in this picture. But I think the glasses make her look not as pretty as she actually is.
Aaaaah, Caravaggio's English Eccentric!
