I really like this. Love how she's styled it, especially with the matching blue brolly.

Blogger Indigo | Iris said ... (9:37 AM) :

i love that color, royal navy. beautiful!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:38 AM) :

Love the Bracelets and the contrast to the dark navy!
From Japan

Blogger Stephen said ... (9:40 AM) :

That's such a unique looking piece. I think a belt could add to it?

Blogger amy said ... (9:42 AM) :

Looks like this little frock could double as a sleeping gown. I think if the hem were straight, it would read more as a denim shirtdress.

Fab platforms!

Blogger Liz S said ... (9:44 AM) :

Hmmm, as much as I want to like this I find it too overpowering for this girl and rather shapeless. Maybe a different angle? Maybe a softer denim so it falls better?
But I do love her shoes and the way her umbrella matches the denim. I wonder how much thought people give to umbrellas matching.

Anonymous Best of Beehive said ... (9:46 AM) :

Not a fan. Looks like a denim night gown.

Blogger FASHION SNAG said ... (9:46 AM) :

I love her shoes, but I would have belted the denim dress.

Blogger Jasmin said ... (9:48 AM) :

ahh those shooes! love.

Blogger Sarah said ... (9:58 AM) :

Was the blue coat intended as a dress, or was it indeed a coat over something more structured? As-is, she looks like an artist with great ideas on her mind but not much concern for body and presentation. I do like the shoes, though; the blue-grey stripe makes them especially interesting yet still useful with a variety of outfits.

Blogger Yeah! Street Style said ... (9:58 AM) :

Really, anything coul look good with those shoes!
A key to any style.

Blogger Kazuki Yamada said ... (10:05 AM) :

Denim dress...RULES!!! I love!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:07 AM) :

her eyes pop. and the pen in her hand explodes off the image.

Blogger Unknown said ... (10:09 AM) :

A pity that it is not shown from the front. Guess it has a button placket on the centre front all way down. Denim dress to its finest.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:11 AM) :

Not a fan as it is just too baggy and shapeless. Could work better worn as a coat. Gorgeous shoes though...

Blogger Román Iglesias said ... (10:16 AM) :

LOving shoes and picture

Blogger pinky said ... (10:20 AM) :

is it a coat?

can't say i like anything about this look, but maybe from the front there is something cool.
She's pretty.

Blogger joy said ... (10:31 AM) :

Summer denim for me means chambray.

Blogger Notes From ABroad said ... (10:33 AM) :

Is it a loose coat or a dress?
I don't love baggy but she still looks great !

Blogger whatever said ... (10:36 AM) :

The heels♥
god save the denim :D

sweet kisses ^^

Blogger Rosella said ... (10:36 AM) :

i think she's fantastic in her simplicity and oversized shirt.
And those sandals, aren't they Marni, right?

Blogger GB said ... (10:36 AM) :

Love how well she carries it off- and those bracelets- they just make her outfit! WOW!

Blogger The Original Swedish Blonde! said ... (10:41 AM) :

Her whole ensemble rocks! I just love it :)

Blogger CLAUDIA C. said ... (10:42 AM) :

I love her shoes!!!!!!

Blogger Zuzolińska said ... (10:46 AM) :

She looks perfect.
For first sight I thought that it's winter coat, but then I saw shoes...:)

Anonymous Donata said ... (10:50 AM) :

I definitely prefer this look than the first denim one!
she seems like a 30's grandmother before going to sleep, but she's poetically modern...
i love tha fact that she's not wearing a belt and i adore her shoes!
i also like that she's in front of an old could immagine an history from this shoot!!! thanx!

Blogger MY REPUBLIC OF FASHION said ... (11:04 AM) :

Oh wow, this is a fantastic photo & outfit. Love the heels.SarahD:)

Blogger TheStreetFashion5xpro said ... (11:06 AM) :

I really like this...I love her shoes

Blogger BlumeBloom said ... (11:12 AM) :

Oh but I like it so! I know it is loose, but it is also long enough to not be slightly indecent(especially for a woman that is pregnant and is having a really hard time with the thought of maternity clothes!)

Anonymous Raquel said ... (11:17 AM) :

Im not a big fan of the look, its does look like a night gown for me. But I like the fact that she didnt belt it,because everything seems to me belt it these days!
The shoes are great, really make a difference in the her look,so do the bracelets!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:20 AM) :

love the mole.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:25 AM) :

I love the denim dress! What does everyone think about ironing? I think it needs a good press, but being denim is it not the done thing? Just curious.

Blogger Q said ... (11:33 AM) :

i love those bracelets! she is so cool, certainly not mainstream fashionista .

Blogger Juan Manuel Trejo Sánchez said ... (11:33 AM) :

As a man, I like the shoes; I really like how the un-belted denim dress and the shoes frame her legs. That was my focal point when I first glanced at the pic (not the bracelets, not the matching umbrella). I loved the effect and I think any woman would look as attractive as her with that little trick.

Blogger Juan Manuel Trejo Sánchez said ... (11:40 AM) :

By the way, her outfit reminds me of the song T-Shirt by Shontelle. There's something about that T-Shirt effect on a woman's outfit... Maybe its just me.

Blogger Allyson Reaves said ... (11:48 AM) :

i like the casualness (and that it's not belted does add a certain comfortable flair). but what happens when the wind hits her dress in a not so flattering way?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:57 AM) :

It looks like a denim garbage bag. Try a belt.

Blogger The Styleograph said ... (12:04 PM) :

the pic is the is of course as well too!

Blogger MONICA SORS said ... (12:11 PM) :

I love the shoes!!!!

Blogger Unknown said ... (12:13 PM) :

Beautiful, and totally different from the look before. The girl in the other picture is as gorgeous and beautiful, but her blouse was simply too short to wear over bare legs. It looks like she is trying too hard. This girl is all about simplicity, simplicity is fantastic especially with a creative touch (shoes, bracelets, umbrella).
Love the picture!

Blogger Monika said ... (12:15 PM) :

nice colors...

Blogger Bojan said ... (12:27 PM) :

A cool look! It fits everything on her! I like the royal navy too!

Blogger Lisa Petrarca said ... (12:28 PM) :

I'm not a fan of things too the shoes though!

Blogger Unknown said ... (12:32 PM) :

Perfect!!! And also the position...beutiful!

Anonymous carole said ... (12:42 PM) :

like the the shoes!
when will we see images from Paris?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:04 PM) :

Uh, I love the first look, but not this one. The shoes are all wrong for the dress, the dress itself is shapeless and baggy, and she looks pregnant in it. Denim seems to me to be a casual look, that works well with casual shoes, like the first look with boots. Also, the length of the first shot is great, modern, this one feels like a throwback to the '70's.

Blogger Susan said ... (1:42 PM) :

I think I only like the heels the most in this photo. The outfit to me just doesn't go well together. To be honest, the highlighter that she is holding is what really stands out in this photo.

Blogger Isabella said ... (1:45 PM) :

i love her pose, it's like if she was hidding something.

Blogger Samantha Hutchinson said ... (1:54 PM) :

timeless and beautiful...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:23 PM) :

Confidence steaming through, absolutely love her heels!

Anonymous Buddy said ... (2:25 PM) :

No matter what color, texture, or material the picture contains, posters manage to say oh my god I LOVE [x color] and bow down to the sartorialist. I'm usually a huge fan of your subjects, but this look is just awful.

1. Why would anyone wear dark denim in the summer?
2. Why would anyone wear anything so shapeless?
3. Why can't she even match it with nice shoes?

Sorry, but this just fails big time.

Anonymous Andrea Desde el Trópico... said ... (2:27 PM) :

I like the color... and definitely I love the shoes!

Anonymous Megan said ... (2:28 PM) :

I like this denim look more than I like the other. I suppose it is the looseness of the dress with the slickness of her hair, shoes and jewelry.

Blogger Zerrin said ... (2:30 PM) :

I adore denim series:)
She is beautiful and daring.

thanks for sharing!Scott

Blogger The Red Umbrella said ... (2:30 PM) :

Wonderful blue!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:31 PM) :

weird because the crumpling on the bottom looks like it's been tucked into something but that can't be true! (or maybe she has worn it belted & hunched up around her hips on a previous day?)
she must be comfortable around the waist, nice and cool on a hot day, but (unless she is pregant) i agree with others who say that it doesn't flatter her shape. however feminine the shoes are, i wouldn't feel great wearing something like this...

Blogger GG said ... (2:51 PM) :

the subtleties in this picture are fantastic: the matching umbrella, the orange pen, the red bead on her bracelet. her bracelet looks like persona. is it? ( love the expression on the model too.

Blogger willi float said ... (3:01 PM) :

im in LOVE with this.

Anonymous Dana said ... (3:10 PM) :

She is beautiful. She could wear a burlap sack and get away with it (as my Mother used to say). I enjoy the thin denim dress. I say this because I am a huge fan of cool comfort and though the shoes look painful (yet sexy) at least she is breezy on top. I also enjoy the bracelets and her unfussy hair.

Anonymous Christine said ... (3:10 PM) :

marni shoes!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:16 PM) :

I like the dress, but I wish the heels were slightly different.

Anonymous mabelmabel said ... (3:50 PM) :

Love the feeling of practicality here, also the fact that I can't name the garment (dress? smock?), which adds to sense of possibility.

Blogger Unknown said ... (3:51 PM) :

loved this photo, great denim

Anonymous rei said ... (3:54 PM) :

selfconscious style, don't need a word

Blogger Crystal Dahl-Wildeman said ... (3:58 PM) :

Love the accessories and how the dress makes her eyes look so stunning! The red toes and fingernails are the perfect compliment!

Blogger Anja said ... (4:04 PM) :

So beatiful!!! So simple. Want that coat/shirt.

Anonymous LA Film Actress said ... (4:28 PM) :

I love the denim photos you have been posting. The indigo blue is a great, vibrant color for summer and is captured well in your photos. Now I want to go buy a big denim shirt!

I love in this shot how the saturated denim blue plays off the brown of the door and the colors in those fabulous Marni shoes.

Anonymous Marine said ... (4:39 PM) :

... and denim eyes too ! What a beautifull blue-girl !

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:47 PM) :

The grown up version of the look just below. Nice.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:26 PM) :

Blogger Lupi said ... (5:55 PM) :

shoes + make up and hair!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:14 PM) :

I am normally not a big fan of matching colors...aka monochromatic, however these indigo hues are something else here. I love it all! It must also have to do with the fact that dress is matching her umbrella.
Her shoes and bracets are just as interesting!

Anonymous kelli said ... (7:44 PM) :

Love, Love, Love the shoes!

Anonymous Patricia said ... (8:56 PM) :

I love the bracelets! and her flawless pout!

Anonymous Cfreedom said ... (9:42 PM) :

Eh. I don't care much about the denim shirt dress thing. But I DO like dem' heels! They're on fiyah! Also her face...gotta love it.

Blogger Pearl said ... (10:54 PM) :

the dress really makes her eyes pop. the orange highlighter also makes a nice touch.

Blogger Emily McGuire said ... (11:09 PM) :

I love shapeless but not in this instance.

Anonymous cociolph said ... (12:02 AM) :

Is the dress shapeless, or is it just the angle of view? Great shoes, but so wrong for this casual outfit.

Anonymous Meera said ... (12:04 AM) :

Love how comfy and chic it looks! And those heels are great.

Blogger The lady from Shanghai said ... (1:47 AM) :

Heels heels heels!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:33 AM) :

I like this coat dress very much. It's not at all shapeless but fits her very well around the shoulders. It's perfect for a rainy summer day with her lovely bare legs. The only thing I don't like are the wrinkles at the bottom.

Blogger extreme chic said ... (6:25 AM) :

I love colors on this picture: navy blue and chocolate brown. It matches together.

Blogger Tonje said ... (7:04 AM) :

great shade of blue!

feel free to stop by sometime!

Stay stylish, Stay Happy!

xx T

Anonymous Joanna Roman said ... (9:05 AM) :

I really like the way she looks... Somehow - what grabs my attention the most is a fact, that her luminous, very delicate and innocent beauty she is covering with a huge denim outfit - like a big tent / a shelter. Together with bold and highly feminine platforms it MAKES A RARE STATEMENT!!!
Great example and great photo!!!

Anonymous Lee Oliveira said ... (9:17 AM) :

OMG.. her eyes matches her denim dress..
Love it..

Blogger anthony said ... (11:49 AM) :

Sorry, I can't connect to overall/artist coat as a dress. It goes nowhere for me.

Blogger Rose said ... (1:24 PM) :

I like the heels and the neck

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:29 PM) :

I like the dress but not the heels. Great shot in any case.

Blogger Kathleen said ... (4:16 PM) :

She is gorgeous. I love her coat? Wonder what the rest of her outfit looks like. She is lovely, and her shoes are to die fro. Nice bohemian accessories. She is playing with her look and I love this.

Blogger Jack Daniel said ... (4:45 PM) :

Isn't she the prettiest of 'm all?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:21 AM) :

Coat? Robe? Who cares? She should get rid of it.

Blogger Izzen said ... (8:54 AM) :

Great shoes.

Blogger Marisa said ... (7:21 AM) :

She looks cool & I love the denim dress not belted! Note to self get a denim dress for the Aussie summer...

Blogger Parul said ... (12:40 PM) :

this will go down in history as one of your great shots.. don't know about the fashion, but the lady, her pose and the moment captured... her, in the doorway, just about to open a door.. is serene, and captivating. iconic

Blogger Nina Bonita said ... (1:38 PM) :

And of course the shoes caught my attention. I never would think of wearing shoes in an outfit like that. But she definitely pulled it off.

Blogger Fashionlass said ... (4:47 PM) :

I love how her eyes match the colour of the tunic.
What an easy, breezy, beautiful (not, not Covergirl) summer look.

Anonymous Robin said ... (7:41 PM) :

The dress needs denim or elastic or something! Cute shoes though! =}

Anonymous mens t shirts said ... (3:31 PM) :

Her shoes are great!

Anonymous DagnyT34 said ... (5:11 AM) :

I blame my party-going college life for my first thought: 'walk of shame'. But then I realized that smock/dress is far too long to be a man's shirt (unless she's 4'6", maybe).

great shoes though!

Anonymous Sarah-Mayy said ... (2:02 PM) :

I love the contrast between the shapeless dress and Marni shoes. She definitely pulls this look off.

Blogger Lin said ... (2:50 AM) :

Is she wearing that as a dress? Or is it just a jacket and she has something else under there? If it's a jacket I think it's great, a nice alternative to a trench coat or some other long coat. If it's a dress it seems like she's swimming in it from this angle. Love the look she's giving you! That jacket and/or dress certainly makes you wish you could see more. Even as a dress two sizes too big, I still think her sexiness effortlessly comes through.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:15 AM) :

Great color, but that's about it. It looks like it's going to swallow her whole!

Anonymous K. said ... (10:22 PM) :

She looks like power.

Anonymous jy said ... (12:58 PM) :

lovely eyes.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:09 PM) :

really beautiful sexy unforgettable woman... and the beauty spot

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:11 PM) :

She is so pretty and delicate-looking. Wow.
