She's wearing my wife' engagement ring!

Could so easily be Berlin....Not sure why.

Blogger mustownmore said ... (9:06 AM) :

Her hair great! Very jealous. And lovely natural red lips. In my mirror I look like this, and by the time I've closed the door it looks like I've been dragged through a hedge backwards.

Blogger Francesca Robertson said ... (9:16 AM) :

i love her hair and the jewelry. the whole look is very casual nyc.

F <-- Texas gal bloggin fashion from NYC!

Blogger Evelyn said ... (9:23 AM) :

What a nice coincidence that her friends are in black and white too!

Blogger Klever Girl said ... (9:41 AM) :

Interesting how a full-black outfit can seem so "cool" in the midst of summer.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:24 AM) :

so 80's...backlit halo blonde on black looks lovely and fresh in this image, but the reality of eating bus fumes on a bike in soho is nothing short of gritty and disgusting.

Reserved and elegant.

Blogger ScottJDJ said ... (12:21 PM) :

The accessories make this outfit I think....especially the Thomas Sabo pendant. Loving the look.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:23 PM) :

Very conservative outfit. Not sure I would call it a "look". She's attractive and it's hard to tell how old she is.....

I do love that either by accident or on purpose you tend to show people using "green" transportation in your photos - bikes, walking, scooters, etc.

I love this blog!

Anonymous FASHION INTERLUDE said ... (12:37 PM) :

Lovely, pic, she comes across as plain, but how you've captured her is just fantastic, also love how easily the necklaces drape.

Anonymous atlee james ronald said ... (12:38 PM) :

The look of confidence and self assurance is very attractive. Plus women on bicycles are always a focal point for myself. Another beautiful portrait as always.

Blogger Unknown said ... (12:42 PM) :

Hi Martha Plimpton!!! Love the late 80´s look...classic.

Hugs from Cartagena de Indias, Patrimonio Histórico y Cultural de la humanidad.

Blogger Contact said ... (12:49 PM) :

love the small polka dots!!! the long chains are so elegant

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:52 PM) :

Your photos inspire me to question everyday; would my outfit be worthy of The Sartorialist's lens? It just reminds me to take pride that what I wear tells a story to those I surround myself with, and I want that story to be interesting!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:01 PM) :

I loved NY when I visited those two times. This is such a beautiful NY moment too, the woman in absolutely chic clothes but comfortable and riding her bike.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:08 PM) :

love her glasses.
i think i have the same Oliver peoples

Blogger Fleur said ... (1:17 PM) :

the glasses and watch are beautiful!

hard to tell for sure,
but the idea of one is enough for me.
i love them.

Blogger robert c harvey said ... (3:26 PM) :

I believe this lovely young lady was photographed before by you, Scott! About a year ago, sitting on the grass in new york, reading a book! The bicycle saddle is I believe a Brooks , real leather, visible in that previous photo.
She's so pretty, and casually elegant! Love her!

Blogger Notes From ABroad said ... (4:01 PM) :

I wish I were there .

Blogger amy said ... (5:41 PM) :

This isn't my favorite movie by any means, but I think she's so channelling Kelly McGillis in Top Gun here. Can anyone else see it?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:00 PM) :

I think the ring is Ralph and Duchess:

Blogger Carol said ... (6:03 PM) :

the bicycle, her great skin, and her slenderness are the standouts here. otherwise, i'd say the outfit is retro 1990s NY office worker

Anonymous Tiffany said ... (6:09 PM) :

This is cute. Reminds me of a 90's Carrie Bradshaw

Anonymous Jacqueline Isabel said ... (9:24 PM) :

so pretty great choice :D

Anonymous Buddy said ... (11:07 PM) :

I find this look bland and boring. Her hair is great though!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:09 AM) :

The look seems very '80s - not in any obvious way but the hairdo, the sunglasses, the roomy top that folds over the skirt/pants, and even the watch - reminiscent of the looks from the 80's. The rugby stripe shirt on the person in the foreground - that's also a look from the '80s.

About the photo. I like the brown and black color combination throughout.

Anonymous nikii said ... (1:16 AM) :

I like her chic semi-formality especially with a bike behind her. love it!!

Blogger mehschmeh said ... (2:47 AM) :

Blogger Norma said ... (9:50 PM) :

The necklaces are actually what make this look. Otherwise, she's just kinda PTA-ish with better than average hair. The necklaces bring it up that critical notch.

Blogger su said ... (1:44 PM) :

Brooks' saddle is my choice, too!

Blogger J.Ro said ... (5:41 PM) :

Usually I frown on people not wearing helmets when biking. But in this case, it would ruin the look.

Anonymous Joan said ... (11:47 AM) :

I see Shelly Hack from Charlie's Angels.

Blogger Unknown said ... (2:06 PM) :

Note the English Brooks leather saddle on the bike. These saddle have become quite "hip" for with urban riders. One might say it's an accent piece for the bike.

Thanks for your time working on this blog - awesome.
