Way to go, Sydney! Sydney expat here in Chicago. Nothing but eyesores in the Midwest. Remember the Sartorialist's trip to Chi-town? He complained too. :-D

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:09 PM) :

incredible photos .

Anonymous Esmoquin room said ... (12:10 PM) :

I love it. I think greay it's one of the best colors. It's so chic. But I think it's more a winter color... Well... you're right now in Australia, don't you?

Best from Menstyle Spain!!!

beautiful ghost

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:25 PM) :

What an intense photo. I'm mesmerised by his stare and also, once I noticed it, I couldn't stop looking at his finger. It looks almost extraterrestrial.

Blogger JULES said ... (12:25 PM) :

wow this picture takes my breath away this man has style down to a science

Blogger Glenn said ... (12:36 PM) :

That's a great jacket - I like how he obviously has something in his coat pocket. To me that says that he is someone who is completely comfortable with what he is wearing not only from a fashion standpoint but a functional one as well - Well done

Anonymous suzanne nelson said ... (12:38 PM) :

Amazing - both subject and photograph ! Very, very strong.

Blogger Jack Daniel said ... (1:09 PM) :

Beautiful outfit.

Too bad summer is coming. No more outfits like these.

Blogger Alexandra said ... (2:02 PM) :

Wow...both the outfit and picture is just stunning...have to agree with Jack Daniel...:(

Anonymous Chesley said ... (2:38 PM) :

Beauty all around. The man, the clothes, the low contrast of colors.
Great shot.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:56 PM) :

Really interesting and unique collar on that jacket. Nice spotting!

Blogger CF35 said ... (2:58 PM) :

Grey and black is gonna see us through untill next spring...X

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:23 PM) :

To Jack Daniel:
Sydney is approaching winter.

Blogger Joanna Lee said ... (3:50 PM) :

Love the look! So elegant, yet mildly rebellious...or is that the model?

Blogger M&S said ... (4:56 PM) :

Love this pics and love the look

Anonymous Soren Lorensen said ... (5:07 PM) :

What is that in his pocket? The one at the bottom not the breast pocket. Can anyone see? I am thinking glasses but hoping for something more unusual...any ideas?

Anonymous Lisa said ... (5:23 PM) :

Love the layering and the sleekness here.

@Eric, as a Chicagoan, I vacillate between taking umbrage at your blanket dismissal of our city and agreeing with your assessment. I wouldn't call us eyesores but people are either just too casual or totally lack imagination. However, it does make it easy for some of us to stand out.

Blogger Jason said ... (5:50 PM) :

I like how he is actually using the pockets in his blazer. I wonder whats in there.

Blogger Brigadeiro said ... (5:53 PM) :

LOVE this!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:02 PM) :

Very nice picture. Is he wearing denim pants??? Would love to see the shoes.

Blogger Lollie. said ... (6:12 PM) :

Blogger Style Scientist said ... (6:38 PM) :

His fingers especially the one on the right looks unusually long. Strange...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:54 PM) :

This is my friend Ed and he owns a label called 'Beat Poet' check it out. Fantastic, forward thinking Australian design. Nice work Sart!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:09 PM) :

the collar is what makes this what it is

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:25 PM) :

hauntingly hot

Blogger Bookworm said ... (8:51 PM) :

That's a gorgeous photo. Lovely composition and shadows and colors and all that (i know i'm a total nerd). Oh....and gorgeous outfit, to! LOL (:

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:06 PM) :

Looks like chop sticks in his pocket.
I love the collar.

i already miss the winter in nyc

Blogger rodi said ... (6:13 AM) :

i've been looking at this beautiful photo for hours... hadn't been sydney, i would definetly argue that he is guillaume quatravaux.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:41 AM) :

He is absolutely gorgeous but terribly unhappy with the which has made a turn for the worse. He's wishing he wore cashmere instead of cotton and packed mittens to cover those long, fine fingers.

Welcome to Sydney. Brrrrrrrr.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:02 AM) :

The guy looks good.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:36 AM) :

i love it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:39 AM) :

Hes sexy :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:03 AM) :

Collar detailing? It's simply been turned up. Everybody with a half-decent jacket can achieve this 'collar detailing' which is simply some of the jacket's tailored structuring.
And, no, 'half-decent' is not a new tailor...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:19 AM) :

I love all that an intense mode tells us about both the intense person and ourselves! Three cheers!

Blogger Joy Mars said ... (11:21 AM) :

I love the background choice of rich black. It makes the dense color(s) he's wearing vibrate.

Very chic dude.

Blogger Unknown said ... (12:19 PM) :

love this portrait.

Blogger norawoah said ... (1:27 PM) :

this is a fantastic photo, well composed!
And I love the mystery of his pocket.
As Bilbo Baggins once mused "What is in my pocket?"

Blogger james said ... (2:36 PM) :

nice the natural softness of this look quietly chic and a nod to nerdy..only thing that could of improved it??
An old book in the pocket.
well done

Anonymous an said ... (5:43 PM) :

he's got that ugly-beautiful appeal that makes jonathan rhys meyers such a hot specimen.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:27 PM) :

Australia's answer to men's fashion. "Beat Poet" - the picture says it all...a pianist, a thinker, a down to earth heady guy.....and yes, there just might be an old book in that pocket.

Anonymous Sally said ... (8:10 PM) :

One of your finest.
This looks like a page from a modernized Antlitz der Zeit...and it's about time!

Blogger Daisy said ... (10:16 PM) :

how does he manage to stay so pale down under? He looks great, anyway :)

Blogger JoLynn said ... (11:06 PM) :

I absolutely adore this photo...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:27 PM) :

This is brilliant simplicity that we can all go to our wardrobes, emulate and make the world a better dressed place. Love it dude.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:46 AM) :

beautifully chosen fibres and colours that compliment. what a stylish young man.

Blogger Keli said ... (2:34 PM) :

Blogger Ron said ... (11:10 PM) :

Great hair. Weird pen placement in the pocket - but who am I to judge weirdness?

Blogger nari. said ... (1:26 PM) :

is it the picture of dorian gray?

Blogger Thomas said ... (4:37 PM) :

quiet confidence.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:50 PM) :

Blogger Internationalmode said ... (1:47 PM) :

something monalisa about this picture ..

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:13 PM) :

I love it how his skin stands out so much here... it's so pale in comparison to the rest of the shot. A great contrast!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:34 AM) :

Very beautiful (I'm not very proud to say it but it reminded me of Twilight - pale, blue, serious)

Anonymous Sartorial Student said ... (8:48 AM) :

Brilliant combination of grey and black. The purple detail on the underneath of the collar finishes the outfit off well

Blogger Flingdingo said ... (2:53 PM) :
