Comments on "On the Street......Black & Grey, Sydney"
Way to go, Sydney! Sydney expat here in Chicago. Nothing but eyesores in the Midwest. Remember the Sartorialist's trip to Chi-town? He complained too. :-D
incredible photos .
I love it. I think greay it's one of the best colors. It's so chic. But I think it's more a winter color... Well... you're right now in Australia, don't you?
Best from Menstyle Spain!!!
;-)
beautiful
beautiful ghost
What an intense photo. I'm mesmerised by his stare and also, once I noticed it, I couldn't stop looking at his finger. It looks almost extraterrestrial.
wow this picture takes my breath away this man has style down to a science

That's a great jacket - I like how he obviously has something in his coat pocket. To me that says that he is someone who is completely comfortable with what he is wearing not only from a fashion standpoint but a functional one as well - Well done
Amazing - both subject and photograph ! Very, very strong.
love this.
completely mesmerizing. love the collar detail.
I'm so inspired by mens styles at the moment and this one is so classic. I love it!
Beautiful outfit.
Too bad summer is coming. No more outfits like these.
Wow...both the outfit and picture is just stunning...have to agree with Jack Daniel...:(
Beauty all around. The man, the clothes, the low contrast of colors.
Great shot.
Really interesting and unique collar on that jacket. Nice spotting!
Grey and black is gonna see us through untill next spring...X
To Jack Daniel:
Sydney is approaching winter.
Love the look! So elegant, yet mildly rebellious...or is that the model?
Love this pics and love the look
What is that in his pocket? The one at the bottom not the breast pocket. Can anyone see? I am thinking glasses but hoping for something more unusual...any ideas?
Love the layering and the sleekness here.
@Eric, as a Chicagoan, I vacillate between taking umbrage at your blanket dismissal of our city and agreeing with your assessment. I wouldn't call us eyesores but people are either just too casual or totally lack imagination. However, it does make it easy for some of us to stand out.
I like how he is actually using the pockets in his blazer. I wonder whats in there.
LOVE this!
xx
Very nice picture. Is he wearing denim pants??? Would love to see the shoes.
Soren Lorensen, they would be pens ;)
Sexy!
His fingers especially the one on the right looks unusually long. Strange...

This is my friend Ed and he owns a label called 'Beat Poet' check it out. Fantastic, forward thinking Australian design. Nice work Sart!
the collar is what makes this what it is
hauntingly hot
That's a gorgeous photo. Lovely composition and shadows and colors and all that (i know i'm a total nerd). Oh....and gorgeous outfit, to! LOL (:
Looks like chop sticks in his pocket.
I love the collar.
Glad to see you're keeping your focus.
Ed's work can be seen here,,,,,

i already miss the winter in nyc
i've been looking at this beautiful photo for hours... hadn't been sydney, i would definetly argue that he is guillaume quatravaux.
He is absolutely gorgeous but terribly unhappy with the which has made a turn for the worse. He's wishing he wore cashmere instead of cotton and packed mittens to cover those long, fine fingers.
Welcome to Sydney. Brrrrrrrr.
The guy looks good.
i love it.
Hes sexy :)
Collar detailing? It's simply been turned up. Everybody with a half-decent jacket can achieve this 'collar detailing' which is simply some of the jacket's tailored structuring.
And, no, 'half-decent' is not a new tailor...
I love all that an intense mode tells us about both the intense person and ourselves! Three cheers!
I love the background choice of rich black. It makes the dense color(s) he's wearing vibrate.
Very chic dude.
love this portrait.
this is a fantastic photo, well composed!
And I love the mystery of his pocket.
As Bilbo Baggins once mused "What is in my pocket?"
nice pic..love the natural softness of this look quietly chic and a nod to nerdy..only thing that could of improved it??
An old book in the pocket.
well done
Handsome
he's got that ugly-beautiful appeal that makes jonathan rhys meyers such a hot specimen.
Anon.
Australia's answer to men's fashion. "Beat Poet" - the picture says it all...a pianist, a thinker, a down to earth heady guy.....and yes, there just might be an old book in that pocket.
One of your finest.
This looks like a page from a modernized Antlitz der Zeit...and it's about time!
how does he manage to stay so pale down under? He looks great, anyway :)
I absolutely adore this photo...
This is brilliant simplicity that we can all go to our wardrobes, emulate and make the world a better dressed place. Love it dude.
Energie
beautifully chosen fibres and colours that compliment. what a stylish young man.
sexy jacket.
Great hair. Weird pen placement in the pocket - but who am I to judge weirdness?
is it the picture of dorian gray?
quiet confidence.
His fingers look really weird ...
loved the background.. reminds me of old flemish paintings
I love the color tone in this picture.
great urban colors, captured by a great picture.
what a striking expression!
wonderful how you are able to show the beauty and yet individuality of each person you photograph. i love this.
something monalisa about this picture ..
something monalisa about this picture ..
I love it how his skin stands out so much here... it's so pale in comparison to the rest of the shot. A great contrast!
Very beautiful (I'm not very proud to say it but it reminded me of Twilight - pale, blue, serious)

(Melbourne)
Brilliant combination of grey and black. The purple detail on the underneath of the collar finishes the outfit off well
modern jsinger sargeant portrait.
~WELL DONE~
