On the Street....Urban Explorer, Florence
I love the simple urban explorer feel of this look, the slate green shirt with the classic but slightly fuller cut khakis is perfection in its stealth.
However, I think the photograph - and the look itself - is made measurably more refined by its juxtaposition with the rugged grooming.
It is such an art to be well-groomed but not manscaped. This is one of the best examples I've seen in a while.

i love all the neutral colors in this photograph, the slate shirt, the khaki pants, the leather belt, the rusty metal, and the orangey brown wood.
Wow. He looks so cool.

Gorgeous! Such a stunning photo, capturing true essence above a mere attractive subject and shot...One of my FAVES lately!

Pretty urban!!! But a little safari too...amazing picture!!!Congrats
I agree. This gentleman has the rugged/groomed look down. It looks as though he takes care of himself without spending all his time in the morning getting ready.
dandy photo! love the classic look!

New adventurous style! A success! The shoelace...

I always appreciate simplicity and understated men. And you're precis in your words, REFINEMENT speaks for itself.
Mmm if most men in this world dressed like him, this world would be such a happy place, for real
Bonita vestimenta par ir comodo en verano saludos
Such a cool, casual guy! Nice clothes, nice position (like a model)- but his shoe! Left one is open! :)
Love it! I agree, the combination of the rugged facial hair with the neat casual clothing is fantastic.

'Course, it helps that he has a jaw you could break a champagne bottle on.
Love the untied shoelace. Seriously.
Agree. It's a great look.
I totally agree - there definitely aren't birds nesting in his beard or hair, but then again he isn't too groomed in an over the top way. Great look.

He's stunning!
Very handsome.
I love this photo
I love the picture, but actually just wanted to pipe up and say that I appreciate the posts where you comment on what's going on. The simple photos are nice, but your notes on what's impressive or what caught your eye are instructive.
Thanks!
Wow! stylish and beyond handsome - fabulous photo, as usual - thanks!
I don't often agree with your comments about men's clothes. This time I completely agree. Looks great.
Fantastic composition. You captured a great explorer expression!
Fantastic composition. I love how the style feels authentic and earthy but you have captured an air of mystery about the gentleman.
what a fascinating handsome man.

Ruggedly handsome in a clean cut way.

Mm, definitely a good look. Not overdone, but simple, relaxed classic style. 10 points! The background's just perfect, too.
What a stunning photo.. :) Love the color combination.. It's such a great sample of a street fashion outfit.. :)
A well-groomed man suggests so many more opportunities than a fop.
SO GOOD.

He reminds me of Ralph Fiennes in The English Patient.
I love rugged grooming. Thank you for telling me what it's called. Yum.
Wow... I mean really. How do they do manage to give birth to people like that?! Italy...
What a fine specimen of a man.
Oh yeah, I agree - not manscaped (got distracted there a bit!) - maybe an organic extension of the ruggedness within. His profile... special.
Dang...

From the neck down, this look isn't that impressive (plus I have this exact combination of shirt, pants, and shoes).
The point about grooming is well-taken, but really, the key here is how handsome the guy is!
The color combination here is wonderful, but honestly, that man's jawline is his best accessory.
heeey indiana jones. Love the outfit
Beautiful pics;... i love his style ;D
i want this man... lol

*wolf whistle* rugged indeed, earth tones in an urban setting done perfectly
great photo!
Love this look! Girls can do this too, in a slimmer silhouette of course...
I really like the natural style of european men with facial hair and a nice tan.

Beautiful colors!
Love his look. He's so stylish and causal at the same time, and he looks as if he doesn't care much about trends and fashion. :)
this man is gorgeous! he's perfect for this outfit!

He's one of the best examples I've seen in a while, too!
LOL@'manscaped'. Haven't heard that before. Yes, he is all rugged good looks. Perfectly groomed, but not so its shouting.
there's a bit of david beckham in his face.
what he has captured is a well groomed attractive masculine look.
khaki is the fabric for the summer.
it's so transitional from spring-summer-autumn.
I'll need a better look at those big cuffs...
great shirt, great guy!
Chiselled beauty and masculinity all embodied in this unaffected, relaxed photo. He really is rather gorgeous but doesn't seem too bothered by it. Now that IS style!
...sigh...
Finally! A man that looks like a man. Thanks for the eye candy.
OH goodness!!! There is something about a rolled-up shirt sleeve.
great shot and a gorgeous man, beautifully attired. and thanks for the recent pix showing men in italy who aren't overdressed.
i just read a post here saying the guy was handsome but the clothes weren't special. please take a second look. the clothes are understated and exquisite.
I love your blog and I do like when you comment on your postings.
But I don't like kahkis. Nothing could be further from "cool" than khaki.
Those pants MUSt be the Dickes 1922 reissue. I have 2 pairs. They were over priced but they are seriously my favorite pair of pants i have ever owned.
*swoon*. love the look, though it's really the guy who makes this noteworthy. the looks, the grooming and the attitude. nice.
A great outfit, the man's got style and he knows what suits him.

rugged, manly..

Definitely agree on a preference for "rugged" and "explorer" looks, here represented in great colors.
drool... this guy is smokin ;)
Agreed about the grooming. Great pic!

Makes me think of Ed Harris as Jackson Pollock.
This seems to be another variation on the Hemingway homages that are all over the media with the 50th anniversary of his death. But totally Sart style. Love the rough wood panel. And the look. Regarding the comment that it looks like her husband, isn't it pretty to think so?
Yummy
It's cool..........
attractive man during pitti are the best stylers.
http://onthestreetofflorence.blogspot.com/
Woah, I love this guy!!! I think the 'rugged grooming' is achieved by the fact that his hair is swept back, but not too ridgidly or too loosely. Also, his stubble is very casual, but not excessive. Finally, he actually looks clean, which is obviously important!! x
Magnifique profil. Belle coupe de cheveux !
very nice outfit
the trick with being well-groomed but not to beautified is in the attitude, how to carry the look, un-self-concious is the most attractive, then you know he is completely natural and himself.
cant stop looking at this picture.. Brilliant. Please keep it coming !
GUAPO!
Oh wow! He has an indana Jones feel to him. He just needs a hat and a whip.
Love how casual this outfit is.

Manscraped??
He is very good looking, love his hair. Gorgeous man, great photo!
Have to mention though that his shoelace is undone!! argh!
he reminds me of ralph fiennes in "the english patient." :)
He is a very good looking guy, though I wouldn't suggest this rugged yet groomed style to most men, it's a look that's a bit hard to pull of, his stubble is perfect and looks very classic. And I definitely love that belt, that small detail puts everything together nicely.
Great style. This would look beautiful on a woman too.

He looks fantastic - I just wish he had shaved under his chin. A hairy throat is s slight let-down.
I agree with many of the comments other posters have made. Finally a man that looks like a man! Great composition of colors. One of your best photos of the year. Regards, S.
Love it
I know I'm the only person in the universe that thinks this - but, I can't stand "rugged grooming." Either shave or grow a beard. But, the in-between look makes me crazy. Too many handsome men are ruined by it. Like him. He is gorgeous - except for the whiskers...
P.S. Also love the untied shoelace...
Love the pic and the interiors minimal design.
I just got really turned on.
He reminds me of David Becham. But with, arguably, less effort when it comes to his 'look'.
Just beautiful. I agree, manscaped is scary, well groomed is wonderful. Men, please stop plucking your eyebrows like a woman from the 1940's!

and the color of that belt just puts everything together perfectly!
wow beautiful
might say to me the mark and model of these pants??
