Wonderful slice-of-life shot,.. an objective snap of simple style and and fashion sense and sensible fashion. The 'anywhere and everywhere' woman both at ease in her skin and in the world.

Love this photo!

Blogger Lisbeth said ... (10:28 AM) :

I love this look with the pose in the photo but I cant help but wonder what it looks like as she is walking. She seems like a shorter woman and I feel like the length of the pant with that kind of volume might swallow her petite frame the minute movement is added. The photo looks stunning and her choice of accessories is amazing I just wonder what it looks like as she moves.

Anonymous Sappho said ... (10:31 AM) :

As I look at this blog, I become more and more convinced that style is not about what you wear specifically, it's about proper proportions. These are all very simple pieces (pants, top, sandals, bracelet, and bag), but they are all in proportion to each other so the whole thing works. You could recreate this outfit very easily with similar elements, but if they weren't in proportion to each other, it wouldn't work.

I don't feel I'm articulating this very well--hope you all understand what I'm trying to say here.

Anyway, she looks great. Casual, understated elegance.

Blogger Annie Chang said ... (10:41 AM) :

Does anyone know where the pants are from?...or are they home made? I love this look

Blogger smokey onix said ... (11:41 PM) :

simplicity is beautiful too :)

Anonymous Priyanka said ... (7:11 AM) :

I love every single component of this look: the sandals, the trousers, the accessories (especially love the bangle), and of course, the striped clutch. As someone else commented above, its the perfect balance between comfort and style.

The magenta/fuchsia adds a nice splash and break of color in the neutral color scheme! I also like the possibilities that taupe offers over here- for me, its chocolate-milk-y color makes it a more interesting neutral to work with than, say, regular gray or beige.

Blogger Mary said ... (3:07 PM) :
