Love it unbuttoned. Buttoned, not so much.

Blogger Yajaira said ... (4:40 PM) :

casual - love the combination of the bright blue with the light tone down green

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:42 PM) :

Love the short-sleeved cardigans! I'll be looking out for it...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:49 PM) :

I think green and blue can be tricky to wear together (sometimes clashing--as red and purple often do), but the combo at top is very fetching. And the cardigan looks like it has an appealing texture.

short sleeved cardigans... mmm... yes, but... no.

Nice pics anyway! Very nice men!

not loving the short sleeves, but will sleep on it. love both of their layered bracelets. add a little somethin' somethin' to the look.

Anonymous Fashionthroughtravel said ... (6:23 PM) :

The first picture is amazing! I love the cardigan, the color mix and above all the fact that the belt and the bracelets are both studded. They match so well!

I cannot believe I am thinking (and about to say this), but hot hot hot! A great way to dress up in the dreadful Milanese heat I suppose.

Both very stylish nonetheless, like we would expect from Italian men ;)

Anonymous Holly said ... (9:12 PM) :

I love the way each of them wears it differently... giving it a totally different feel. I have a question though for you Scott.. or if anyone else can answer this.. the gentleman in the gray cardi has his collar and tie done a particular way - I've seen it done that way before, but what would you call that? Is that a club collar? I absolutely love the way it looks! :)

Blogger krstn said ... (9:14 PM) :

and so good looking

Blogger David Adam Nole said ... (9:15 PM) :

This is quite the artistic mix of color and style in the garments these individuals have chosen to wear. Personal style is always the best when done right.

Anonymous all-in-the-silhouette said ... (9:25 PM) :

The first cardigan would be better without the flimsy little pocket. The second cardi is ill fitting, which really does not work on a brawny guy. Both men are great looking, but the clothes distract rather than compliment.

Blogger CW said ... (9:32 PM) :

Looks more logical layered with a t-shirt or other short sleeve shirt than with the long-sleeve shirt with sleeves rolled. This style would look really great with eye-popping colors.

Blogger Wallace Chapman said ... (9:51 PM) :

the bottom guy has it going on with the marl gray and the bangles..fab ! w

Blogger Unknown said ... (9:53 PM) :

Majorly digging the short sleeved cardigan on men. I've always found it a bit silly looking on women but these looks are fabulous!

Blogger NAHRIN said ... (9:56 PM) :

Ok American men have got to take a wardrobe tip from European men. Very chic and elegant without looking over done. I'm sooo tired of American grunge / slovenly look with the whole pants below the butt... NOT attractive LOL. Take a little pride in your looks... EVERYONE IS BEAUTIFUL so let it shine!!! ;)

Anonymous Mountain Dandy said ... (11:23 PM) :

I love the new bracelet trend for men. It mixes it up and makes simple outfits expressive.

Anonymous Victoria Regia said ... (11:27 PM) :

Both guys look great, but the first one is AMAZING, specially the olive green/ blue combo.

Blogger Contact said ... (11:41 PM) :

They are classic "mais terriblement sexy"!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:06 AM) :

I'm surprised by how much I like the first look--it's understated, sharp, and summer-weather-friendly.

Of course, the gent wearing it could wrap himself in a burlap sack and look smashing, so perhaps the fab is all in the presentation...

Blogger John B Pritchett said ... (2:08 AM) :

Nice! I love cardigans but these are the first I've seen with short sleeves. The search is now on to find one or two for summer!

Blogger Nomadic D. said ... (2:39 AM) :

Love this. Especially the top one. Sending it over to my husband to see if I can get him interested in a short sleeved cardigan! Although, seeing as how it's already in the upper 90s in Madrid, any kind of cardigan at all seems out of the question, at least for another 3 months.

Blogger thwany said ... (2:45 AM) :

the man in the first picture has everything just so right.

Anonymous laura venice said ... (2:46 AM) :

No, no, no. I do not like men with short sleeves (with difficulty I can admit t-shirt if you're over 20). I think only Obama is sexy and not vain at the same time wearing short sleeves...

Blogger margaret cruzemark said ... (3:33 AM) :

I love the first short sleeve cardigan and i also love the guy who's wearing it!!!

Surprisingly, this looks great ! I'm not so sure about wearing with rolled up shirt sleeves though, but otherwise I love the look.

Blogger oslolook said ... (4:24 AM) :

such a stylish bloke,. muted, managed and masculine. And the rounded collar is the perfect punctuation of this subtle style statement. http://www.oslolook.blogspot.com/

I have a couple too! And I love them... generally I prefer with the tie like in the second pic.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:33 AM) :

love the green and blue combination...I tink the cardy is from Margaret Howell....but you need to be slim and tanned to carry it off. Also his beard needs a trim...http://umanbn.wordpress.com

Blogger Beatrice B. said ... (4:43 AM) :

I love the blue-green combo in the first pic... looks just awesome with the grey pants...

Blogger Mr Musing said ... (5:03 AM) :

Love the first picture, who would have thought that shade of green and blue would work together, but he pulls it off well.

Also love the way that threre is a hint of belt detailing picked up in the the bracelet, without it being to matchy-matchy.

Blogger Mars said ... (5:17 AM) :

This is how men's fashion should really be, not the metrosexual look.

Mars of fashion insouciance

Anonymous Jelena Todic said ... (5:42 AM) :

Above all, I adore studded belt and bracelet on the first photo, but, generally, everything on the both man is in a way beautifully matched.

I am doing something similar in Belgrade, Serbia, for http://wannabemagazine.com/, but in a little bit diffrent concept, check it out&enjoy!

All the best!

Blogger marrtina said ... (5:55 AM) :

do not remember exactly, by i think two years ago I got, very much like these ones, a short-sleeve cardigan from Gap (women's wear). so i guess it made it to men's wear now.

Anonymous antique engagement rings said ... (6:27 AM) :

I like the short sleeves... and love the bracelets!

Anonymous Dustyflint said ... (7:16 AM) :

I'm with Amy - not loving the short sleeves, but will sleep on it. Some dandies may be able to carry it off. I don't really like short sleeved cardies on women, either.

Blogger Anna Bakurova said ... (9:19 AM) :

I love short-sleeve cardigans! Normally I chop off the sleeves myself, to give it a summery look :-)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:40 AM) :

First fellow looks fab. A short sleeve cardigan is casual, after all.

But the second fellow with all the silly fuss of the rolled up sleeve? No.

Blogger Marcel Da Chump said ... (9:47 AM) :

I'd wear the short-sleeve cardigan over a short-sleeve mock neck t- shirt under the Prada patterned jacket paired with the patterned slacks, shod in Sylvano Lattanzi golf shoes and I'm ready to tee-off.

Anonymous proletarian Great Gatsby said ... (10:51 AM) :

Yes, short sleeves better without tie.

Blogger Roberto Pires said ... (11:01 AM) :

That's a good idea!

Blogger isabel archer said ... (12:42 PM) :

quello con la barba is very vey nice

Blogger Sam said ... (12:44 PM) :

Second picture: I love how cleanly the rolled up sleeves and cardigan meet. The collar and tie are also doing it for me right now.

Blogger Me said ... (1:48 PM) :

I love the first look !!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:34 PM) :

i like short sleeved cardigans!

Love the white, beige and grey combination, and that his clothes are a bit creased; it makes the outfit cool, classy yet carefree and approachable at the same time.

Anonymous Amanda H said ... (3:12 PM) :

I understand the look for ladies in summer (too hot for long sleeves, but a tank might be too underdressed without a cardigan)but I am just not feeling it on the men here.
First guy is gorgeous, but the sweater is just lumpy and gives him weak-looking shoulders. Second guy would be so much more fantastic without the extra skintight layer. Pass

Anonymous Pooja said ... (8:02 PM) :

Love the look of the sleeve/the way the shirt is rolled up in the second look.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:50 PM) :

Great collar and tie in the last pick. Perhaps the cardi would work better with tailored summer trousers. The men's short sleeved cardi is a vintage look which I don't remember ever seeing before. There is something rakish about it.

A shrug for men?

These guys are trying too hard.

Blogger Carla Borel said ... (3:11 AM) :

This is a tricky look - not every man could pull it off. These guys have with great style.

Blogger JoceDBaci said ... (8:53 PM) :

where does one buy a men's short sleeve cardi in the US?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:22 AM) :

the guy in the first picture is my friend...is very very nice...love love!!!!

Like'em!! A softened and relaxed look but still very masculine. Might even be able to get my husband into it!

Anonymous FashionIndie said ... (4:31 PM) :
