Blogger Nina said ... (6:06 PM) :

The outfit this woman is wearing is remarkably similar to ones that my grandmother wears regularly ... though Grandma E doesn't have an owl tattoo, or a bowlcut, I'm still pretty sure a picture of her would not have inspired such raves!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:09 PM) :

I'm pretty sure those are supergas (italian brand) not vans

Blogger Ivan said ... (6:32 PM) :

I'd never sit on the side of the wall so comfortably as this woman searching her bag for something, just because the dirt on the wall etc.
I really find her sunglasses so special, it's kinda round-shaped which it's very historical for me.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:44 PM) :

This style, hair cut to shoes,is reminiscent of a nun meets skater chic.

Blogger Lilly said ... (7:52 PM) :

Love her look, she's a babe - especially loving the hair... :-)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:26 PM) :

Sorry, but the tattoo ruins her looks. Instead of a young woman with a clean look it makes her a young woman with a tattoo. She is forevermore a woman with a tattoo. Can't age pretty.

Elegance becomes more important to a woman's looks as she ages.

Blogger The Fancy Teacup said ... (8:32 PM) :

Her skirt is complete artwork and her owl tattoo is enchanting.

Blogger m.j.f. said ... (9:33 PM) :

i have a tattoo as well and i often wonder how others perceive my style because of it. this helps me to gain perspective.
i wonder all of this because i have since changed my style from wildy alternative to more academic and classic i.e., NERDY. but i love it. as i get older i find i can no longer get away with some of the looks i used to present. i never liked white, denim, or khaki ... now its all i want + gingham, linen, and well, i still love stripes.

Blogger Marjorie said ... (9:33 PM) :

I would never, ever in 10 zilla-trillion years get a tattoo. I DO like them on other people though. Tattoo placement is getting really interesting now. Hers on her ankle is cool.

Blogger Mars said ... (11:10 PM) :

She looks like an older version of Tavi, don't you think?

Blogger Ella said ... (11:37 PM) :

that hair! never seen anything like it. it's almost a bowl cut, but not with the negative connotation. you know?
the skirt is so cool as well, the checked/plaid/rainbow pattern is almost hypnotizing!

Blogger Thinh Vu said ... (11:53 PM) :

Anonymous Monica Lee said ... (11:04 AM) :

When I glanced at this photo one of the first things that I noticed is that the plaids match up on her skirt! When my mother taught me to sew, she insisted that you match plaids and now-a-days it can be so hard to find that detail! I like it!.
PS..I must be old, I sported that haircut in college.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:39 AM) :

Amen to Monica Lee on matching plaid at the seams-my mother ingrained that into me when I learned to sew as well. Don't care for the tattoo though.
