Vintage Photos

If you missed my initial post, here are the instructions again.
- The subject line of the email should read "Vintage Photo"
- The photos will only be posted here on the blog, so the file size can be very small (no bigger than 700kb). I DO NOT need hi-res images, they take too long to download.
- Writing a little something about the image you send will make your entry much more interesting for all of us.
- Email your photos to: sartorialistvintagephotos@gmail.com

Somehow his hatpiece fits well to his outfit. Maybe because of his very authentic aura.

The Styllustrator

He just seems so casual with an air of sophistication - I love it. I wish there was some kind of social consciousness that made this sort of wear more socially acceptable today. Modern society has lost something hasn't it?
I love his confidence!

Wow. I see where the glamorous aviator cliches come from. So confident. I like the mix of dapper and practical - the white shirt and moustache combined with the helmet and goggles, the tucked in tie, the notebook in the pocket, the watch chain, the rolled up sleeves.
I love the cheeky, seductive look in his eye, and the jaunty way he's leaning...
Cool as you like!
This is such an amazing picture, I love all the vintage photography on this blog!

I want this fine gent to take me for an airplane ride summer day floating overhead in lazy sunshine between the clouds.
Wow that is a statement photo. My partner is currently a pilot. To be honest he wears things similar to this today (except the goggles and hat). Wow, so interesting.

Just posted about how it seemed that folks used to have such more amazing lives than we do now. Here is the proof.

hellllloooooo dream boat!
Ooh, I bet this guy was the ladies man. Errol Flynn eat your heart out! Would love to know his story.
People had respect for self more then than they do today. Attire, personal upkeep and hygiene, respect toward others, lack of daily stresses and an ability to relax.
History shows us how we were, both negative and positive, and we can today glean and learn much form this, our histories, especially during this Memorial Day weekend.
Who is this gentleman?
Oh my! Clearly mad, bad, and dangerous to know. One way ticket for the time machine, please!
Wowwww... so dapper.
Goodness, how dashing is he! Talk about magnificent men and their flying machines.
Great tie!
He is sporting the look of Errol Flynn in "Dawn Patrol"........
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6iq11QX4AE&feature=related

great shot. wish we knew something about the man.
Uber cool..and all that sex appeal so many years ago! Gosh, how did we ever get that prudish notion of the past.
Besides the obvious the structural silhouette is perfect.
I am loving these vintage photographs, very cool. I particularly like his flying goggles, they remind me of Amelia Earhart, and what a powerful woman she was.

the combination of the slightly rakish look in his eyes and the sophisticated moustache is nothing short of devastating.

Love the photo...it really spoke to me! You may not believe it but I too am Carolyn G...coincidence much?!!!
I also thought this a beautiful pic. Meant to post a while back re a couple of comments: I think that chain is for keys rather than a watch. My dad (b1910) always used to use one.
Niiiice!! :)
