Comments on "Vintage Photos"
Wow! This has to be one of my favourite of all the vintage photos - it is so full of movement & I love how neither of them are looking at the camera but are completely caught up in the dancing!

Just "wow" like everyone else.
my mum was in the drama club when she was younger and I would have pictures of her in all sort of costumes and there's even one where she cross-dressed and was a sailor. It's hard to imagine our parents doing that sort of things, but then again, they were young once before, just like us!
Very cheerful and optimistic photo, especially considering political situation those days in Cracow....
Great photo! Speaks so much history
This photo is incredible. As a (modern) dancer myself it makes me so happy to see that you posted a photo that captures style, movement and energy.
This is one of the best pics ever to grace this blog and my goodness there have been some awesome ones, for the reasons set out above. For me it feels like one of the esoteric/ fascinating/ alluring posters I used to see in the 6o's
So glad that finally someone send a cool pictures from Poland :)

He is so open, ready to receive and she is totally in a inner énergy, a kind of yin/yang flow between them, very tantric huge dance ! Sunny Side

I love this more than any other vintage photo. It's not about the clothes. I love his freedom of movement and the dynamism in the space of the photo frame. Good for him!

art de vivre is joie de vivre even in the difficult times

Poland was a hotbed for all sorts of creativity in the 1970s...you have to remember that communism was still in full swing and there were restrictions on the arts, which were considered subversive..it was Poland that gave us blessed John Paul !!, now a saint for our times.
its krakow, not cracow..
Oh this makes me wish I could just jump back in time! They're so lovely.
Kraków : ) That's nice. And what a picture! I thought that it's from Cali or sth. I just wonder what did Agni mean by writing about htat "sepcial" political situation in Kraków these days.
Wow, that woman is stunning!
Inspirational, considering it was from the former Soviet bloc.
Love it..

Fantastyczne!!!!
Amazing picture.
I've actually read a lot about Krakow from a book titled A Long Long Time Ago and Essentially True! by Brigid Pasulka.
Beautiful movement and Energy.
Also love the girl's dress and haircut; her style enhances the sense of freedom expressed in their movements.

This is one of the best pictures I've ever seen.
What I was meaning writing " considering political situation those days in Cracow" was communist system, which was official system in Poland up to 1989, so like MB wrote - there were many restrictions and oppressions, but young people always have power to smile and change world :)
She is really pretty!
what a beautiful photo!

Insane. Yes, also my favorite of the vintage photos for the story behind it. The belief that we can do something, move forward...with creativity!
How dull we are today, no?
Just splendid!

It's amazing how she looks like some of the stylish girls out there we see nowadays. If this photo was reprocessed and look like a fresh photo, I would believe you've just taken it this morning from her look (the hair and dress).
Wow, this is gorgeous. I forget that fathers were once young. And is he showing it!
Wonderful picture!

Strange, i've been to Poland many times and yet i did not get a Polish feel from this at all.
*Viva la Warszawa!
gosh! the sexual energy in this pix!!
this is awesome - it looks like he has energy oozing from him fingertips!
Simply fantastic!
oh I love the feel of vintage photos! It makes a new category for art rather than just taking a look back.
This is so Sonny and Cher, but sexy.

greets from cracow :)
Wow, love the photo, love this city Gratulacje Kamila
They are seems to be enjoying dancing very purely. It's a factual picture i like it.
Beautiful...to dance...it's the soul of life!
I love the contrast of this photo. His back bend is explosive whereas she's turning into herself almost fetal like.
Great choice, and how neat to have a dad so expressive.

WOW
There's a photo shoot with Edie Sedgwick done for Vogue... it's probably 1966, she's wearing a very funky Betsy Johnson two-piece creation consisting of a tiny belted skirt and a tiny top, all long legs and bony hips and pixie cut, and this pic just reminds me so much of that Edie photo. Fabulous! And I love the expressiveness and freedom in the man's movement. You can just feel the energy of Krakow in the political milieu of the 70's! Great shot!
This photo has totally captivated me and has stayed in my mind ever since you put it up.Such freedom of expression and arty energy, I love it. I wonder what music they are dancing to.
