These photos from Savannah remind me so much of street style here in New Orleans, but I think the New Orleanians have a little something more....
People here are so much bolder in their fashion choices and there is such a range of distinctive tastes represented, all within the context of the gulf, the city, the eclectic neighborhoods.
What I'm saying is that you should come down and check it out!
Don't you just love Savannah? Don't answer that - I can tell you do from your photos! Did you get over to Broughton Street? It's like a walk back in time. These SCAD kids have killer style.
I like how you are capturing the strong-ness arms. Women of The South, we know what work is.
love my southern girls.
What a charming sidewalk...had no idea that cities in the U.S. still had these....we have some brick streets here in the Chicago area, but no sidewalks quite this old.
natural, casual, authentic, beautiful
Some people can't even look elegant in Chanel, but look at this girl! Wow!
The smartphone gesture and the backdrop gives the composition a painterly quality. It would even work as a charcoal drawing; guache, pastel for that matter. Of course, it more than holds its own as a photograph.
love she!
A perfect look for the hot days in Savannah which is such a lovely place to visit. She will truly stay cool and comfy rockin' this outfit!
she looks like someone I know...and she definitely needs a cardy!!!
Please have a look at my new blog and let me know what you think! thanks

Just simple and beautiful!
Love the hat. Love the pants too.
Woow! It must be sooo comfortable!
Epitome of comfortable chic. Love the composition of the photo as well, there's a certain dark and thoughtful moodiness you've captured.

The skirt is perfect. It looks comfortable and shows off her willowy lines.
love love love love it!!
Your recent Georgia photos leave me wanting to visit. You make Savannah look like an enchanted forest!
I love to see what everyone is wearing outside of the "usual" places... she seems so carefree. The Chucks say teen or college student to me. Ah, to be young again! I love the lighting of this shot!

wow - goin out in your sweats never looked so hot! and elegant to boot. also, could Savannah be more picturesque? jeez. i want to go to there.
There is something haunting about the setting here-- The concave sidewalk, the greying building, the dark green growth creeping over the fence. And she seems like she grew up to become a part of it. I wish I could carry off looking so natural in... well, anything!
These Savannah girls love their long dresses with tennis shoes. Is this the new look of summer? Absolutely LOVE the hat and bag - would love to see it on her too.
Thanks for sharing this!

Simple and cool. I love it!
Great photo! It's really enchanting with that dark and gloomy setting, and the girl is so delicate.. it's a magical shot! :)
It does look like a somewhat creeoy photo! Love her kicks!
I love the posts you do on smaller cities in the US. They have an authenticity and character, and I feel in New York or London people are dress up in a city because of the city they live in, while the people in Savannah have more of a character showing from within.

Best tip for Copenhagen? Oslo on May 17! National holiday - national costumes - soooo inspiering and fun!
I like it! She looks comfortable and relaxed. The hat adds a cool addition too. The no bra look is in with the relaxed workout/sleep pants.

Savannah is a beautiful old city with brick and cobblestone streets and city square parks shaded by oak trees draped in Spanish moss. It's beautiful, mysterious, and yes! rather haunted. It is also blazing hot at this time of year. Tybee Island is a short distance from downtown's waterfront. So you can see that her outfit makes complete sense. Savannah is a walkable city and when it's this hot, all you can think about is a beach breeze.
I love the casualness of everything in this shot. The brickwork in the sidewalk and the age and vulnerability of the fencing. I love the slight lift of the hair from a lazy breeze and that it is not blindingly sunny. The plants are healthy but unkept and there is about to be a worn hat...now that I have regained my breath after having it swept away from me let me say that she seems pleasingly fuss free and striking.
insousciente j'adore !
Nice Pic Mr.

i love the leotard
although i dont like the hat.
I love the Savannah style you have been posting! It's so relaxed and natural feeling. Makes me want to head south. In some places fashion can seem like a competition but these pictures don't have that feel to them. Great job. I hope to see more new locations in the future!
Casual Cool! Loving

I like it but the only thing that bothers me is that she only looks good in that outfit because she is so tall and skinny.
If she were any bigger, she would look like a slob (apart from the hat).
Some people look good no matter what they throw on, but that doesn't necessarily mean what they wear is stylish...
I like the grey/black palette with the pop of nail polish. Very cool.
She is so perfect...everything in this picture is perfect, even the bag...
so ghostly, in an odd way- especially with that background! beautiful!
Simple outfit still she's pretty.. love love
I am in love with the photos you are taking in Savanah. Evocative, romantic, a little dark. Your photography continues to dazzle and inspire me.

I love the hat! Although i don't know if i'd be able to wear that outfit, might make a woman with hips appear frumpy :/
looks nice and comfortable as well.
that is so cute
i really appreciate all the low key and the global mood in this photo
Cute!

I love this photograph so much - it captures such a peaceful moment. She's so deep in contemplation, and I love the way her hair is blowing ever so slightly in the wind. The concave pavement adds a nice surreal touch. Beautiful.

What a great outfit! Looks so stylish but still comofortable, we love it!
great! luv this
Anyone know where the pants are from?
I like this. She is wearing her bathing suit under sweatpants, and the hat is too hot to wear. The sun has dived below clouds for an instant, and she's tired of the beach. She's slung her towel, sunscreen, etc. into her burlap bag and is heading home. It has a weary feeling to this photo, perfectly capturing the mood.
Wonderful photo with a painterly feel--her expression, her stance & willowy lines, the quality of the light all combine to create a haunting image.
I'm guessing she's a dancer...? In that spirit, I'd rock those pants tribal fusion style--a bit lower on the hip & wrapped with a tatty hip scarf (to hide the unfortunate waistband).
Chuck's are so timeless!

An example of what a slim nice young figure can carry off. Personally I like everything but the pants.
nice outfit!
and perfect for summer too!

I work for Lida Baday. The pants might be one of our chine jersey styles from several seasons ago.
My favorite part of this shot is the way the brick path she's standing on has bowed out under gravity over the years. Such a romantic setting.

Undoubtedly great daily outfit :) and she is wearing my favorite type shoe. Looking awesome.
Greetings holiday apartment london
It enchants me, all the comments about this "southern girl" and her inner sense of place. Dollars to donuts she's a SCAD student, and if she is then she's probably not from Savannah. Photos tell the story we want them to, not necessarily the truth.
쏘큣 <3 it!
these are wonderful. what a beautiful place to shoot...more Savannah please!
She looks so pensive. The gentle breeze blowing her hair, she needs to just breathe it in.
i'll be heading to savannah next week for a couple of days...what are some of the best areas/streets/shops for menswear? thanks ~
so natural you just caught the beauty in a nice way.keep it up
chic and modern!! love how she is looking down in contemplation...
she's beautiful and the simplicity with the details makes her style perfect.
and the photograph. well, one of the bests that you've been posting lately!
I'd love to see that hat on her head!
Love the pants(or is it a skirt?). The slit and the waistband are great. Just to say though; She is definitely not going anywhere near the beach on that day. First of all, that top is not a swim suit, you can tell by the lack of structure on the top, second no one would wear that hat to the beach. It would get ruined pretty fast. Third no one goes to the beach with a full bag of stuff. She is a student on a warm day. Thats it. Her outfit is very put together, even if it is simple, especially the bag and hat(which are not simple).
not everyone could wear this and look as chic as her. kudos.
love the light here. cloudy skies make for the best portrait light :)
that top is amazing
