I love this mix of disparate elements--the shoes rock!
Love it.
Gorgeous look! Brilliant shot!

Such a simple outfit, but so awesome nonetheless. Doesn't hurt that the wearer is so pretty!
after all that fashion week stuff (which I do love), it's refreshing to see more varied looks that are on the streets right now and captured beautifully. i would be afraid to pair these things together, although separately i like all of them - the sweater, the belt, the skirt, the converse. i like her inventiveness and sweetness about it, a lovely interpretation on down to earth femininity.
The mix is GREAT here....and she's got that cheeky thing happenin'.
Cute! I love the converses!

such a lovely girl and look

Omygod. She is typical from paris. I love her skirt !

I like the inocence of all the outfit.
I love Converse sneakers....they say a lot about the person: "simple style, down to earth, young at heart."
That seems like a good combo to me.
Wow!I loove her skirt!
This girl has got to be either an Aussie or a Kiwi. That's the way we dress for Southern hemisphere spring, but then need the cardigan when surprised how cold spring can be in the Northern hemisphere! It's a bit hard for us to adapt when it never gets any colder than 10 degrees C (and that's in the middle of winter)?!
i especially love the rolled pink socks. lovely!
Perfect and really inspiring .))

she looks so gorgerous!
http://disco-in-moscow.blogspot.com/
aaaww too cute, converse makes the outfit looks good.
Knowing that the book she is holding is an NRF publication (or so it seems) -- historically the most prestigious publisher for humanities and literature in France -- makes her outfit all the more interesting. Being myself a literature scholar, it's nice to see proof that brains comes in many styles!
I love how the shoes and skirt share a neutral theme. So much thought is put into beautiful outfits.
A girl who reads and looks pretty in her floral skirt is ace in my book.

I like the "school girl look" complete with book in hand, and those pink socks...
effortless, feminine and oh so French!!!
http://fixyourfacemakeup.blogspot.com/
I like how she combines the sweater with that skirt!
Schoolgirl in spring in Paris. Fantastique!
Its not so much what she is wearing, it's more the way she stands. looks, holds the book. Very nice!

Sneakers and dresses/skirts always turn out to be a nice pair - keeps the look young and fresh.
...so cool!!!!!
She looks effortlessly chic and her hair and face. Amazing.

I am too old to dress like this, but I do, anyway.
A very cute look and I especially like the warm sweater in case the day is cool. The tennis shoes are adorable.
I love it

Brains, beauty, style...all in a gorgeous woman in a chic and cosmopolitan city, what more could you ask?
smile by Da Vinci? adorable.
Ohhh even a woman like me appreciates a doll-face now and then. Jumper and summer skirt, odd combo but looks marvelous together. But then we can be frightfully biased when the outfit is on a pretty lass. ;)
She just looks so fresh and sweet! I love the combination of styles.
Just too cute... She is the cutest little thing ever. Great photo!
Thanks for sharing,

VERY CUTE FASHION

women in paris have a fashion sensibility entirely their own..so original..love the outfit and the girl is so pretty! xx meenal
Wow Sart. You continue to surpass yourself. I believe history will see you as the superior of Sander. Your ability to transcend the myriad aspects of humanity that pass before your lens is unique amongst not just bloggers, but photographers, period! You are able to get the best from both the greats of style and fashion AND normal ordinary folk in whom you see the special, the different...keep up the good work, for the sake of FASHION!!! You are an inspiration in this troubled world in which we live in. BRAVISSIMO!!!
She is so darling looking. A perfect transition from winter to spring.

For me it is all about the socks and the wonderful spring air.

Absolutely charming! ;)
Love it!

Simple & Gorgeous.
I love her outfit!
This is an example of a "quirky" outfit that only a young person can pull off. Take it and put it on a woman d'un certain age and what kind of impression would it then make?
Perfect.
great style, love the sweater
Lovely photo! XOXO, www.natalyascloset.com
Her look is inspiring me to have fun with my wardrobe and create quirky, personal combinations out of what I already have. What fun! :)
Sweet and natural, a gentle transitional look. With a book as the only obvious accessory.....she appears intelligent, and someone it would be a pleasure to know.
So cute! Love it!

Simply breathtaking.
She is prepared for spring, but warm enough for the cold temps. Makes me want to be in Paris...

Yes, I love this changing look, a little bit winter, a little bit summer.
Beautiful.
http://thelifestylenews.blogspot.com/
Great combination! Is this a friend of yours in Paris? I remember seeing her in a previous photo, and was captivated by her gaze and beautiful hair.
This is such an American look- I don't remember the early nineties clearly enough to know whether this style was popular in France then, but I feel as if maybe it wasn't? Does it count as retro if the look is foreign?
A book is the perfect accessory!
Love how she looks simple but so interesting.. I think I like how accessible these individual pieces are.. they are not high fashion, aspiration-only pieces. One could actually do this without being a rich fashionista.
She looks comfortable, confident and stylish, all at once.
Kudos on capturing her.
Fantastic - she is wearing a cardigan / jumper inspired by the brilliant Danish TV Detective series 'The Killing' - it's been a sell out item for the Faroe Islands based knitters!
http://www.guardian.co.uk/theguardian/2011/feb/21/jumper-is-star-the-killing
people seem to love the converses on her but actually the shoes killed it for me
Fantastic - Love how she looks simple but so interesting.. Kisses - http://thaishsouza.blogspot.com/
Super cute and the pink socks are a great touch.
Adorable, but more the overall shot than the outfit. Love the bohemian-meets-academia look; much more Left Bank than Palais Royal.
J'adore!! Très jolie!
If I were a boy, I'd fall in love with her :)
love the mix of fabrics..
love the mix of fabrics...
I adore the cool weather piece of the sweater mixed with the warm weather touch of the dress and those shoes. Lovely. :)
I have that skirt! It's actually a dress from H&M. I get compliments on it every time I wear it. I love what she did with the dark sweater, though!
So sweet! :D
a bibliothèque des idées book complements any outfit. :)
now i want to wear a flowy dress like that..:)
Ah, her style is amazin. I love the combination of the book, the sweater, the floral skirt, and the converse. She looks so at ease.
xx
there is something so alluring about this picture. she's stunning.
www.greeneggsandglam.blogspot.com
love this simple and sweet look! so classic too :)
love me some chucks
I love the mix of girly, and casual. She looks chic, and laid back.
My Heart Blogged
a natural innocent beauty, her facial expression reveals an unself-conscious youthfulness that likes the adventure of her picture taken but doesn't take it seriously...
Only a french gal could look so coquettish in such in simple attire. Do I sound jealous?t
Oh, how chic.
http://izzenxoxo.blogspot.com/
my kinda girl, happy with a bit of knit, a nice book, and a pritty dress, lovely lighting as always, dont know how you do it, but would appreciate any tips for my portfolio art students.
I love the mix of comfy and chic in this outfit.
a belted knitted cardigan is really something cute.
nouveauskin.blogspot.com
wooooow!!
She is soooo beautiful:)
I like this atmosphere.
This looks like an outfit i can actually wear
She can walk for miles and miles. Once people find out how much more comfortable these kinds of shoes are for walking, more can enjoy the fresh air and get somewhere.
she's gorgeous.
This look 'works' on soooo many levels. It is deceptively simple, but it proves that in fashion, like so many other things, God is in the details. This wasn't some coed simply throwing something together. The classic sneakers and the pink scrunched socks tie in nicely with the details of the skirt and the sweater. The looks speaks of innocence, yet sly sophistication; Paris in the spring, indeed!
Unlike some recent looks that I've called BS on because they were a sort of random 'let's-throw-a-bunch-of-elements-randomly-up-on-the-wall-and-call-it-fashion' (i.e., the 'Annie Hall from hell' look), this young gamine has clearly given her outfit a lot of thought before she stepped out the door. Well done!!
Marvelous!

So lovely, fresh, and at the same time with this marvelous mix you can somehow feel the season changing. Perfect.

la amo
it's so 90's schoolgirl
Lovely, uncomplicated, the aura is about a simpler time.
I think this is my favorite post of the year so far. She's gorgeous and with such perfect style.
what's the book she's reading?
Beautifull :)
So Sweet...
I have been thinking about this pic for a couple of days, it's great.
Looks like an actress from "Gilmore Girls" style fiction. The ideal-student outfit with that mixture of casual indifference and highly intellectual look it's really amazing. Besides, the winter jumper on the spring dress/skirt gives it a totally free and independent look. I regret the fact that it's already summer here...! ;)
this is the outfit i would wear! I want to not wear leggings and tights anymore! Imbrace spring and go Bare legs!
http://tayandhergay.blogspot.com/
you've photographed and posted pics of her before!
love!
C
perfect. absolutely chic.
waist down =spring
waist up = fall
Interesting...
I don't think this is "La bibliothèque des idées" book. I know, it looks like this, but you see what's written on it: "Lettres à Frida".
Try to find it. You can't find it on Gallimard site and, as a matter of fact, you can't find this book at all.
Any ideas?
i think the chucks and the stocks make the outfit!
she looks so simple, yet with style. that´s what matters.
cute socks!
very interesting ensemble! it's a combination of various seasons! awesome :)
Is this Julia Faure? She was the sister of Sophie from Love Me If You Dare. I remember seeing her on your blog before.
She is verry pretty! T'he outfit is awesome!
Very nice!
http://mertxehernandez.blogspot.com/
Loving this completely innocent, cute look! Very stylish!
Tamara - www.thehappeningblog.com
Some of my uni colleagues could take a lesson or two from her style...she looks so cute! :)
she looks sooooo comfortable, cozy cozy clothes!
Leah - i think you're right- it does look like Julia Faure. Lovely look.
omg im dying, the converse are so cute!
she's beautiful.
This shot shows much more than her outfit; you did a great job capturing who she is!
What women read makes them more sexy than what they wear
Is that a wedding band on her hand....?
Paris? This is classic Montreal styling..
LOVE HER STYLE.. ADORE THE SPECIAL DETAIL OF THE SOCKS!
something achingly, almost illicitly delicate about those little pink socks.
truly effortless!I havea pair of converse sneakers almost exactly like this and this picture inspires me to use it in various ways other than with jeans.
i love ur sneaker
loving the pink socks with this :)
