Comments on "On the Street....Lafayette St., New York"
Lovely photo! Thanks!
Love the lighting in this photo, with the background fuzzy and the woman so sharp.
Very interesting shot. Her pensive look is quite interesting. Her ensemble is perfect! Love the footwear too.

There's NYC embodied...
goodness, I'm ready for summer. I love how comfortable she looks. Checkered vans seems to be a staple no?
Refreshing modest. I like that this is street style without any distinguishing brands or trends. It is mundane and mod at the same time.
Love the shoes!
Sooooo cooooooooool ;)
Nice pics ;D
Street style POPPY DELEVIGNE http://magmoiselle.fr
Another remarkable sign of global warming.
I love that those Vans have never left pop culture properly!
why is this interesting?
i love me some vans- so comfy and cool
A chill day in the city...Wish it was me!!

Haha :) I love this. Makes me love NY more and more. Living here in NYC I love it, so much going on.
But to this photo, I would play a Keane song.
badass
A great photo and she looks to be ready to roll on that skateboard the minute it's all clear. Super!
love this pic... she's living life!

nice picture, love her pose and the checkers !!
I love this picture. To anonymous 8.49, its interesting cos its a matter of style and self confidence! She looks truly wonderful, not being a "mega babe man eater" she is different from the main stream of dressing, Short hair is always a mark of strong confidence, going your own way, not caring about trends or be sexy showing a lot of skin, body, heels etc. I love it when young ( and older ) people dress in a way they the like, for themselves. Its about style, not fashion.
This is a great picture. One of my favorite. The secobd best is the one of a stunning woman in black dress, flat shoes and a lot of tattoos. Wish I could find it again :)
She definitely looks like the skateboarder she is, athletic build and the right clothes to ride in
Yes!
NICE. Comfortably chic! Ready for summer!

Hey one of my favorite people on one of my favorite sites. Love it!!!! And yes!!!!! this is NYC!!!!
i love the top
xx
Why can someone design a stylish helmet for these ladies?
Not wishing to correct you on matters of Newyorkology Scott, but this is clearly Fourth Avenue at 11th Street.
She looks like she's skateboarding home from yoga.
wow a skater girl!!
Wonderful picture (as usual), but this look does nothing for me. I guess if you're going to ride a skateboard in the city, practical clothes trump elegance.
This is how to do the punk trend. Her build suits the style too.
Perfect attitude!
unreal/))
so cool!

Sorry, Scott to be so facile - I'm really not getting this one!
to me looks more like 4th Avenue and not Lafayette street.......
badass.
nothing too interesting about her look for me
That's not Lafayette Street. That's 4th Ave.
Laid back and casual, yet completely collected. There is a lot to learn in the simplicity of her look.
Cool !
Very interesting shot...the road is the soul
Love that you feature diversity on your blog. New York is not all about designer brands and polished girls.

My 15 yo daughter and I are huuuuge fans! You've been her inspiration and has since bought a Nikon. Could you tell us what lens you used for this shot? Would love to help her buy it. Thanks so much.
Tom Boy chic. I love it!

sweet look! love her tee
Love the Vans Checks. I remember a boy in the 3rd grade (25 years ago) who was the first to get them. All the other boys ran out and got them...trendsetter at age 8.
She looks like an actress, she is very expressive. Great picture, great moment.
Oh man, skips on a board and tie-dye too! Could she be an Obie?
Kick - push - coast...
Cool baby, cool.
She is so tough cool!
La Petite Marmoset
Not that it matters, but this is actually 4th Avenue between 11th and 12th street.
Great photo!
thereallookbook.blogspot.com
That looks more like 4th Avenue than Lafayette... just sayin'.
appreciating the trends captured in this photo as well as the sense that her board and her tattoo are all the accessories she'd ever care to have.
I love the picture because she looks free - no hand bag, no keys or purse or cigarette!
Those exact Vans are what started my love affair with them many moons ago - my first ever pair. I've had so many different pairs/styles since that some people refer to me as "the guy with all the different Vans" Is this bad?
1978-1981 look.
the ska look.
especially those vans..reminds me of the groups from the uk at that time..
the specials, the beats, the selector.
Get it VRN!!!!!!!!!!!
You're looking great. :)
What a great sporty bohemian tt!
