Comments on "On the Street....rue Saint-Honoré, Paris"
Love the red, purple and tan. The pattern of the coat looks great.
you are definitely correct, this makes me ashamed of always opting for all black out of habit.

Loving all of it. She just looks like she knows she looks good. That confidence is amazing. Loving the mix of colors here!
Very hip. Love the purse, boots & hat...
Very stylish lady with acute sense of mixing colors.

I love that they are all earthy tones.
I love the colors as well. So cool and chic. Once again, I truly can't wait to go to Paris. Thank you for the amazing photograph.

love that she's a chic woman, not a fashion insider xx
she looks amazing!
Strange connection of colours...
The guy going by her, does not have a bad look going on either.
Colours!!! I like the jeans the most, don't like green that much, but this outfit is just so pretty!
Looooooooove her hat and her red pants... ;))
beautiful pic ;))

I like the man's leather coat and the stores he's been shopping in (judging from the bags he's carrying).
Love this outfit! Great mixing of colors!
Love this outfit... camel+red!!

I love the combination of the fabrics and seeing all their textures work well together just as the colours compliment each other. This one is a winner for sure!!

I love it too and totally agree with the black stuff! beautiful, "très chic".
I agree the mix of colors are great. I love the jewel tones- maybe this is their take on the recent Gucci collection you showed us.
She looks like Audrey Hepburn in colour.

Black is for the colour blind! I can't live without colour.

Me encanta la combinación de los colores. Se ve súper natural y elegante a la vez. Siempre pensé que la mezcla de colores podía quedar demasiado juvenil y poco formal. Me equivocaba... este es el ejemplo perfecto.

Wow, the colors all make a great combination, and that coat is truly mesmerizing.

much love.
It really makes black to look boring. :) It could even be more colored and brighter!

I love the man on the right carrying a little chanel shopping bag...
Black is never boring - only when composed in à wrong way. Regardless, this is à great outfit. À great hat.
doin' her own thing, and looking great!
Like her faux fur coat a much! It's made the whole outfit.
Yeah great colors!

Great colour combo I agree. And loving that big floppy hat too! Tres chic!
I don't like colors at all, far too earthy for my taste, but I like the look anyway! Especially the hat and the skinny jeans on long thin legs.
But the same clothes in black-blue would look far much better.
I love this look. That coat! The blouse and pants look great together! I love how she toned it down some with all of the neutral accessories. The hat is the bomb!
those red pants are quite rad for rest of the outfit...but she's totally rocking it!! great attitude!! xx meenal
Colored pants-- yes! It's also funny how it's all about the shade. Certain shades of purple, green, and red would just look like a cheesy re-creation of mardi gras sensibilities. But these shades are so right, and right for right now-- seventies-inspired and sophisticated yet playful.
I love your photos more and more each day.. Congratulations!!
Greetings from Madrid.

Wow! Very chic! The color combination is on point. I love everything about this ensemble, especially the hat and the glasses which give the whole look just the right edge. Lovely!
amazing look...I love the mix
I love it that all the colours are balanced in strength and that there are no prints of any kind. I love the bow collar of the blouse and the classic expensive looking handbag with red legging-jeans. Yam! She smiles so satisfied behind her sunglasses, and I am happy with her.
Love those pants!!
just beautiful
I see what you mean. All black has to be textured and architectural to be interesting in the face of this look.
Yes, you are right! Totally genius use of color ! Also, the nude-brown shoes/bag/hat kicks it up a bit. Lovely!
"Looks like this make all black seem so boring."
unlucky guy on the right
I like this, too: bold & dark + light accessories.
awesome shot!! I love her shoes :)
so nice =)

Does anyone know who makes her bag?
I really like how you how you icolated her look from the rest of the scenery. But all-black boring...never! Ha!
Paris fashion! I think this picture sums up my love for Paris fashion! Tan, red, purple and green? Who knew all the colors would look impeccable on an outfit! The colors work out so well. And the coat is to die for!
http://jeaninereyes.blogspot.com/
I could so share a coffee with her.
gorgeous
That jacket - perfection.

I agree! I love this outfit! The red pants are my favorite, but the purple flowy blouse and the geometric coat are both awesome as well.

I love how her hat, shoes, and bag just tie everything together. Her outfit is truly a work of art.
and it works !!
great job for the woman who made this outfit !!

the hat totally makes the look.
love how even a random passerby looks so chic as well (despite the all black) ah paris!
I love all the color mixing. The pants are fabulous.
My Heart Blogged
Seriously one of the best subjects you have found and shot to date - what a stunner! So chic, such an individual sense of style, an incredible use of colour, and what a stunning face. Simply perfection in my book. Would love to see what she wears on a daily basis, if it´s at this level every day, it puts us all to shame...Giada
I believe it's the talented jeweller Fiona Knapp and her redoubtable husband Michael Pearce.
And @achmea---there is nothing "faux" about this chic chick...
XOXOXO
The color story in this outfit is AMAZING!!! I may need some time in Paris after leaving Italy. Seriously.. wow!

awesome! i am inspired to play with colour tomorrow :)
OMG!!! i loooove the hat! it's fantastic! <3

I do prefer the man on the right (clean, basic, masculine). To me she over did it with the ¨"trying to match" the hat, shoes and boots !!!All 3 different "tans", hmmmm strange..
So classic - very very nice look - actually quite refreshing after all those fashion-week-pics. This is real fashion/style for me. She seems to be dressed for work-day-life.
The coat is amazing!
La Petite Marmoset
I don´t think so
an all black look is totaly elegant
and there´s no doubts about it.
I love so much all black visual
I don´t care if it may looks boring to others, if it´s not to me frist
There just isn't any one thing that is wrong with the outfit. Love it!!
J'adore the color combination, she just looks great, and the confident smile on her face tells everything!
All black is boring. It says you bought everything knowing it would 'match'. Technically, plaid has the most potential because it can have so many colors that say something individually or as a team.
I love the coat. I love the pattern. It reminds me of the crazy car coats of the seventies. Do you think it's vintage?
Perfect outfit!
Colors are amazing! Just perfect !!!!!

Amazing color and such a wonderful macth....freat fur coat!
http://fashiondoesntexist.blogspot.com/
I agree, this looks interestingly cool
i love it!!!!
I completely agree. Frankly, I don't understand the all black style at all. For occasional outfits and pattern/ texture combinations, sure. But to categorically ignore the spectre of different colours available is beyond my understanding. Images like this make me very appreciative of this blog!
LOVE the third and 5th image...super cool.
omg she´s perfect from head to toe!!
Why did I throw out all my self-tie blouses? The ones that had the blessing of John T. Molloy? From before Giovanna was even born? They would be VINTAGE now! Heavy sigh.
I've seen this chic girl around the streets of Europe for years and she always looks hot!
Now I know who she is,,,,,,
Just a note to those of us who get our Sart fix on our phones... These pictures look so much better on a large screen!
I think he confidence is what makes this whole ensemble work. She looks fantastic.
That is a mink coat from the BIBA revival collection 2007
I love the mix of colors, spectacular coat and hat in this
Loock perfect.

Hermes bag ? OMG

You're right there Sartorialist, this does make all black especially for fall/winter seem too boring!
She absolutely reminds me of Diane Keaton in the 70's.
I love the RED PURPLE FOREST GREEN combo too! Inspiring! Now...time to go shopping again for some red...something! :) The lady carried it all with style, not to forget she got a mighty fine figure (and pins). Good eye!
bueno
