This guy doesnt lack courage.
OH MY!! I am not sure about this, I have to let it sink in.
rock et vraiment kitch à la fois
These are Absolutely Amazing.
Freaking amazing!
How do you ignore this fellow! I've seen this type of stocking before on the runway, someone remind me!
Somewhat inconspicuous, yet very dope!
http://intermsofme.blogspot.com/
WOW amazing leggings and shoes!
What an unusual and unexpected sight this must have been. Not every day that we see a man with fishnet stockings adorned with gold and silver beads -- this is a brave and intrepid man if I've ever seen one.
Genius.
Ha! I can't work out whether I love or hate the fact that this man is wearing embellished Sass & Bide leggings that cost more than most people's monthly salary.
For now, I'll just say: what a great detail to have captured!
Miss B xx

wooowww!!! perfect style
Those leggings/tights are insane! Wonder if they're self-made (or if they are indeed Sass and Bide)...either way I need a DIY lesson, stat. XO Valerie

Wow that's so cool, but it's a bit quirky!

Awesome! following on twitter already xoxo
The provincial part of me says "my goodness" the artistic part says just wow!
Hih!
:D
Something like a Michael Jackson and Gladiator mix =) Takes a lot of courage and self-confidence to wear such outfit.
a bit of a Mad Max look, especially with the rough looking coat. brave indeed.
this makes me excited to go to paris next month! he looks so different.

Just WAY to good!!!

http://youareashootingstar.blogspot.com/
English eccentric? German decadence?
Love the shoes, the whole outfit is fantastic but I just adore the shoes!
xx
Wow! Totally surprising + daring.
He reminds me of the anglosaxon/winterized version of Thoth
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vGVGwpxg7yA.
A street performer that used to be in New York City performing in the tunnels of central park.(is he still there?)
There is a thrill of discovering such wonderful oddities. It makes my life feel less "THX 1138" -ish.
WOW! Speechless ...... sometimes we need this kind of people.
Thank you the Sartorialist!

Looks like a modern day gladiator with a little flash....
www.simonehester.com
Huh. Now I'm just left wondering what the rest of the ensemble looked like...
The tights/leggins are certainly very daring!
http://davidikus.blogspot.com/
http://www.davidranc.com
i could've sworn those tights he is wearing are Sass & Bide but didnt think they did guys stuff.. although I guess it doesnt have to menswear - its what you make of it really, isnt it..
stateofsunday.blogspot.com
How fantastic! I'm going to Paris in three days and am SO excited.
Wherever he is going I want to go too.
those tights are phenomenal!

Le Kiss Kiss- Click Here!!
You got the first place on fashion blog on Google, so just checked out.. :D
I love how people dress in amazing things like this just to entertain! I'm sure he gets lots of second glances! Great pic!
Brave comes to mind... warm blooded (unless it is warmer than I thought in Paris right now) and dressed up with someplace to go also comes to mind :)
Wow...I wonder if he made the tights himself...Definitely unique!
Holy Mackerel!I love that he is looking at a map.
the paris metro station is designed by guimard. it's a real beauty.
Props to this dude. I like the contrast between his out there outfit (those leggings) and what he's doing ( something ubiquitous (studying a sign).
Ballsy. I like how fearless he is.

what a cool man!!

fabulous moment, brilliantly done- I wonder where he is off to? I would love to see more details of coat/skirt/leggings/stockings...

INTERESTING STYLE!
This brings back memories from last October...though I wasn't lucky enough to run into this gentleman!!Talk about guts!! xx meenal
Hélas! I can't swallow this one! Quelle tragedie to come face to face with my own squareness!!
I just hope none of those pins open up and stab him. It's happened to me before.

WOW!!!! what a GENT!!!!
thanks for great shot!!!!
wow... i like his courage to wear this! he pulls it off!
http://www.missmollyfashions.blogspot.com/
Wonder where he's headed!
what are those?!
sass and bide ingenuity right there.. my question is how he fits in them? they were such a tiny make!
It's carnival in Germany, maybe in France too?
Interesting look!
That's amazing. He pulls them off.
can't wait til spring, the picture is so nice.

Oh yeah! Great! I like it!
ooooh great!!!! NICA VERY NICE!!!:)
see you. i love your blog:)
luka
I am afraid I know him.
Ohh, interesting! :)
steampunk taken to a new level...brilliant...
OH MY. Unexpected, it's beyond quirky. I can't quite decide how I feel about this. Kudos for taking such a risk.
the important thing is to feel good in what you wear... this guy has fantasy!
; D
im wondering how it would look without the coat, i think this is what makes the picture so interesting.
you have to admire him but i'm not convinced. Are they rolled-back socks?
Rocks!
If this were the catwalk, instead of the street, everybody could call him genious. It´s difficult to make people stare at you nowadays, so.. bravo!
A wild Scotsman?
I'm all for something quirky and avant garde but this is a miss. Something is off. The leggings and shoes translate to rebellious youth but of course the upper half does not. He's sending a confusing message.
for some reason i am both scared and fascinated by this look.
nouveauskin.blogspot.com
amazing!! what´s these leggins?pants? he´s fantastic!!!!!
shescarmen.blogspot.com
who write is that man you see!
Somebody is right: the most amazing thing on the photo is the design of the metrotable!!
who wrote that i was in Sass&Bide leggins, is right!!
thank you Scott
...and this is why the world is wonderful.
The most original outfit shown on your whole blog since the start back in 2005.
He has surprise legs and feet!
This picture put a big smile on my face this morning - love it! Good for him! :D
CRAZY LEGGINGS!!!!
http://fabulouslifeofdiogotorres.blogspot.com/
awfully cute! )))
awesome!!
Patrick McDonald said to me about New York, "Don't be afraid. Just come here. And be yourself." I see the same is true of Paris.
This guy has the courage of his convictions. I love him. He is my hero. Or, as McDonald himself might say, "Just dandy."
This gentleman's my hero for today.
and it was SO cold in Paris this week, you have to admire him.
I know this has nothing to do with the clothes but I LOVE the font on that sign!
OMG I NEED THOSE LEGGINGS!!!!!
gorgeous look...great pics
Oh - my - goodness!
Looks like he has a secret life a burlesque dancer or something. lolol. Thanks goodness my hubby is not that brave. that's another level.
He reminds me of a fellow I snapped many years ago near the Arc de Triomphe, who was dressed in all leather and was leading a (live!) chicken on a leather lead. There were strands of twinkling lights behind him and wreaths hanging in shop windows - and the mood was perfect, bizarre, and fabulous.
Needless to say, it was my Christmas card that year.
I love this guy's shoes! Black with silver spikes is actually in vogue right now in NYC (sold at stores on Madison Ave!)
To '4th Generation' above:
I believe Thoth is now travelling around the USA.
Wow. This guy looks awesome.
strange but amazing
http://andthespidersfrommars.blogspot.com/
LOVE the photo, for some crazy reason i don't it too much,,, would like to see what happens when he open his coat?
Heavens, where is my sewing basket? And my Beadazzler, which suddenly does not seem like a silly thing to have around? I am itching to give some new life to an old pair of leggings!
Sart, this is why I agree with your words about looking at runway photos, whether you can afford luxury clothes or not. You can be pretty broke, but still learn from designers, and benefit from their good ideas. It is the same reason that a person who paints as a hobby should visit galleries and museums. Inspiration is a treasure, and it is usually free!
if this is his day-wear, exactly what does he wear to the disco?
I think this guy looks great. It makes such a change from the usual rolled up jeans and scuffed shoes. :)
fearless! i love it.
get OUT!
OH MY GOSH!! I just can clap for this one!!
Very cool! Glad guys like him exist, they brighten up the world.
Amazing !
I was with him at the press presentation of Galliano !! I can say that he was really proud of his look despite the black look of other people .. And this is great !
This a great shot. What a great contrast to the art nouveau metalwork.
theBohmerian - A design and style blog for the Bohemian American.
no, I'm sorry, don't like it at all. But I would like to have a little of his courage to wear this clothes and have to deal with people looking and maybe staring at him.
sass & bide leggings!
love the sequins and colors but not for a man i think and it reminds me of an indian outfit that i have :)
WOW!
Hmmm, not working for me.
Mad Max-ing!!! Love it. Wondering what's it look like inside.
so very unique.
Reassuringly daring.
not the only man to rock some sass & bide
love it. good on him!
those leggings are from Sass & Bide. Cool!
O my gosh!
Road Warrior meets belly dancer!
Way cool!
does anyone know if these are Givenchy from two seasons ago or something else????
OMG I loooove Sass & Bide! Their ménage of materials is absolutely amazing! But I am not quite sure that this trend works on a guy...

it reminds me of mad max (the one with tina turner) outfits...I must say really brave !
Is the jacket a Burberry I wonder? There is something British about him
Love the blue socks folded under. This guy is not afraid of attention.

A stranger in Paris. Giving the prosaic an edge. Great shot.
Meet Dr. Sequino, arch enemy of Professor Badass.
first thing i thought was "What are his legs made out of?!"
very cool and ballsy.
GRRRRRRRRRR....
These are the Sass and Bide ones! I absolutely love! I have a london version of this leggings too. I think he looks fabulously courageous and edgy. Very cool.
He's got this updated slightly 'pearly king' touch! LOL
