everything!
everything about this outfit and photo is absolutely perfeccct!
http://17-candles.blogspot.com/
She reminds me at Barby (:
I like her bag.
Peace and love!
Oh wow... that coat! love the background of this photo just as much:)
It's great the way the doorway frames her, as it seems to emphasise the beige-brown colour-scheme of her outfit.
That combination of the belted-trench and heels is the ultimate classy look.

perfect!
adorable! :)
Gorgeous. And super sexy.
We like the bag
she evokes my fave decade the 60's, and those mile long legs...oh la la!

Trench is always perfect for any outfit! ;)
The bag is so special with those holes!
She looks great!
she looks amazing!
What a great trench.
Fabulous shoes!
There's actually a point where heels on women become unattractive. It makes this man wince.
I love those shoes!!!

In love.
Beautiful . . . love the proportions of that trench! And the ribbon details running through her bag.
Fantastic photography! I love those shoes

Shoes by Nicholas Kirkwood, right?
Gorgeous!
Mon Dieu!
I wanted to first mention her trench...then her purse....but gosh, her SHOES! amazing!
Come check out my creative process when designing a card!

Wow! That's striking a pose.
Skinny gams!
What a beauty! The shoes look fantastic on her!
All I can think of when I look at this, is "one gust of wind...." and there's nothing left to the imagination.
amazing! everything is sooo put together !
wow, the shape of that coat is absolutely INCREDIBLE. I am DROOLING.

Those shoes are hot to death!

Very sexy. The short trench is very different.
this just in: trench coat sales skyrocket and nylon sales plummet because of a photo on the sartorialist. love the brown accessories. did anyone get hurt while doing a double take?
she is dressed damn fine~
beautiful shot! I love her coat!
xx
I like her coat, the length is just right, her heels are amazing and she reminds me of the French actress Catherine Deneuve ( since we were talking about actresses from past eras a few posts back)
Amazing Shoes, love the detail of the fabric wraping her bag.
www.thelovelysan.blogspot.com
Amazing shoes!
http://kimchicsisters.blogspot.com/2011/03/decor-lovin.html
I don't know - that's a whole lot of naked leg. Beautiful but still naked leg. The proportions seem a bit off - coat too short for heels that high.
love the trench
http://andthespidersfrommars.blogspot.com/
I really like her trench. I wonder what other colors she's wearing and how they play with the shoes. I like her ensemble from what I see, especially her bag.
amazing!!!!!
The trench is amazing ! Love that !
And the shoes are gorgeous... The outfit is very sexy, with the blond hair
http://www.bulletinmode.blogspot.com/
What a great illustration of how sexy can still be so tasteful.
gorgeous!! those heels are amazing, the cut of the coat is perfect and looks great on her! love the bag too.
www.styleisalwaysfashionable.blogspot.com
She reminds me of a young Catherine Deneuve. Parisian Chic at its best! Beautiful!
gorgeous shoes!
http://loresfasion.blogspot.com
She looks so sassy and demure, love it. Very classic look, and those heels are so eye-catching.
www.TheFancyTeacup.com
much love.
Lovely photo! Cute coat and bag. I'm a little scared of the shoes.
totally disproportionate !!
Separately, the pieces are great, but they don't work together. I think the coat is meant for only a very young woman...it's such a playful design...unless worn with a pencil skirt?
I'm not at all a fan of the high heel short trench combination on women of any age.
This trench could have worked with a great trouser or legging and flats.
So tired of all these stilettos!
awesome shoes!

This is one fo my favourite mdoels of Kirkwood s/s 2011. Amazing!

As I read the other comments, I am reminded once again of how so many people see the same thing, differently. And that in the end, you have to dress with confidence, for yourself. The only thing my mother taught me about fashion? "Stay thin and fit and you'll look good in anything." I have, and I do. Everything else I've learned from The Sartorialist :*
beautiful shoes!!
I. Want. That. Coat.
I love Stephanie Lacava and her sense of style - this look is just perfect!!
marina
http://stylesnapshot.typepad.com
I'm captivated by the end of the trench. Sexy Sexy Sexy.
French touche, lolita's allure.
C'est la classe !!!
as a study in proper shoe fitting: the left heel has slid forward and makes the shoe look too big. the right heel is sitting perfectly in the shoe.
Such a gorgeous look! I really love her bag and those heels! Great shot:)

This is a great shot. She is beautiful and has great shoes.

Nice look!
Besides the wonderful Hermes bag, the monochromatic feel to this photo is quite nice..

Please look in, CHEERS!!!
There is something almost shockingly pretty about this trench which seems to flare (I know it's the skirt underneath) & the naked legs.
Great style, very daring, especially nowadays!
http://davidikus.blogspot.com/
I want those shoes so bad! Great picture by the way :)
I would have thought it impossible to look both demure and bold at the same time. Not anymore. Wow.
FAB! Where's the coat from???
The proportions are off a bit for my taste.
Le chic à la française, tout simplement !
Perfect. I can't say anymore than this, I'm kind of speechless.
I love the mix of neutrals!!

"Who's tripping down the streets of the city
Smilin' at everybody she sees
Who's reachin' out to capture a moment
Everyone knows it's Windy..."
(The Association, 1967)
Only thing missing would are the letters KLM or BOAC on her bag...
ok so the bag is hermes..i would've guessed as much though. it is absolutely exquisite, and it makes the outfit a perfect 10 even if i kinda would've liked to see her wear some variety of men's shoes.
I love everything about this collection. Stunning and exquisite.
Another perfect image. The cut of that coat is so beautiful, the expression, the hair color, everything.
http://fierceobjection.wordpress.com
All I can think is Sugar Plum Fairy. To me, these proportions (teensy flared skirt over tippy-toe shoes) seem more suited for the Paris Opera Ballet than the street... especially because there's something eerily doll-like about the whole look. I respect her sense of style & her eye for creating an ensemble, but... no. Not working for me at all.
uauuuu it's cute!! The trench is so stylish!!!
http://firenze-florencia.blogspot.com/
Beautiful silhouette!

Se parece a Tippi Hedren.
She looks like Tippi Hedren.
Ruth A.
I usually love your photos. But this one, i don't know what to think.. At first i though she was stunning, which led me to keep on looking. Then lpaying attention to the details i started realizing maybe she should have put all these beautiful things separetly.
Bravo for your blog anyways
xx
it looks so ..natural. lovelyl.
Gorgeous trench coat! Her whole outfit defines the meaning of "style."
i have a craving to brush that piece of hair away from her face.
lovely. very, very lovely.
i love the heels and coat and handbag. the color contrast is veryyyyy nice and classy and elegant.
Amazing trench... so far from the typical.
Beautiful.... love it!
http://bamgin.blogspot.com/
amazing.she's has amazing legs..and her whole outfit is awesome..=)
Great photo. Love the way she's framed in the opening. FABULOUS coat!
she looks so fresh and springy.i am in love with the way her outfit coordinates with the structures around her and her hair color!
the trench coat is by Charles Anastase a few years ago. I have the same coat.
Splendid!
Wonderful! That works.
I just love this short trench, its so super cute!
♡ Fox Whiskers
her trench is amazinnnn.

this look is pure art!
www.abitoffashion.com
it figures; the day i decide not to go to rue de l'ecole de medicine the sartorialist is there. snap!!
Sorry! This look cannot be described as 'classy' or 'elegant'. It looks like she's not wearing anything under the trench. That may be 'sexy' but it's the opposite of classy and elegant. If she had on a pencil skirt then it would be classy. Nice photo, nice colours, lovely bag.
She has amazing legs. I am jealous!
Cute one!
great trench shoes bag pic first impression to short for her
Jazzy-Belle rocks those shoes weekly. Kwai Fashion xxx
"She's got Legs!" Wow, is she hip! Love those towering shoes.
I am so conflicted. I love the way her shoes swirls around her feet. She has lovely cream skin and delicate legs. Yet there is something creepy about hobbling women. If it's cold enough to wear this lovely flirty trench coat, wear tights until it's warm, but then I'd miss her skin. The chic sex flasher is a great theme to dress for a day.
Les cordeliers. Un endroit chic, une femme chic.
timeless, but not boring
So chic!
A bit Angie Dickinson-esque
those heels are AWESOME
Am I really the only one who doesn't like this at all? The proportions are all wrong, the coat too short for a tall woman like that, the heels too high, and I must say that this look would be ok for a 19 year old girl, not for someone over 40. This look totally ridiculous. But the picture is great! The light and the composing.
She looks cold, and look at the terrain in which she will be walking in those shoes! This is what it looks like when you're trying too hard. She's beautiful to begin with, so she doesn't need to.
This is beyond beautiful. The framing of the picture, the glow of her hair, the shape of her amazing trench coat. I'm completely swooning over this shot.
Very nice framing and the light from behind. It seems as she is entering another dimension or stepping into the mirror.
I like her outfit to the point where her coat ends ... but her shoes are just too much in this outfit.
I obviously respect your outdoor pictures but the ones you made inside fashion shows are truly amazing!
-Lucie
There is literally nothing that could make this more perfect. Outfit, shoes, the frame of the doorway, the lighting. All of it perfect.
It's the brushed hair in the light... Very 60s/70s.
I am not thinking proportions when I look at this; some folks think that the flash of leg is somewhat unbecoming because she is pretty enough and doesn't have to/isn't she cold in that?/it looks like she isn't wearing anything else underneath that trench. Sart, you saw an angel pause to look at you before the heavenly arches and took a good shot. With legs like that, no explanation is necessary. For the record, I am an ethnic Chinese Singaporean female.
Of the 145 comments, I find only 3 negative ones, and those are mild. Are you censoring our comments? This smacks of the totalitarian state where no dissent is tolerated. Why don't you just allow people to say what they think? You will certainly not publish this post, just as you never publish anything I say that I don't like. On the other hand, you tend to post my positive comments, although I get the creepy feeling that you blacklist me. People will still adore Sart even if they read grumpy comments. What are you afraid of? I find this rather dishonest, personally.
Oh please, the negativity really? Who cares if she's a bit cold?? Fashion is Fashion and she does it flawlessly ... barbie grew up and got a sense of style!
I love that FEMININE TRENCH! Also, she is totally rocking those heels by maintaining a surprisingly sturdy posture while standing in them.
OMG. The bag is genius and i love her hair. The coat makes it for me.
So chic...
love this!!
Stunning. Can't wait for springggg
i find it it funny that so many people are making references to Catherine Deneuve.. although there may be some resemblance, this girl is as New York as they get :)
She does have great sense of style, i very much enjoyed her outfits at PFW this year

Truly love the first pictures.

Who is this? She looks like an Italian movie Goddess.....I am such a coat addict and when I spotted this picture I was already seething with envy.
She looks like a fashion runway...
Increible!! Fanastic girl,style,photo..great attitude, great legs, great hair..just CHIC!!
beautiful, but a little too much bare leg for french sophistication!!
I love her shoes
