That sheer white shirt doesn't look too good, i tink, but the skirt (or is it a dress) of the lady on the right is simply beautiful!

Blogger The Photodiarist said ... (9:29 AM) :

How beautiful. Did you think fur stoles were on the rise during these fashion weeks? Certainly seems so . . . the green and black one is so "wow".

I think you need something more than a branded piece ( Prada or others ) to look good..good taste can't be bought in shops..

I do love the boldness with which French women wear fur, we Americans are timid that way. And those blue trimmed shoes are darling.

Not sure about the one facing woman's wife beater. Looks out of place with all those vibrant and deep colors. A black or colored bustier fits better with her outfit than the "wifebeater" she chose to wear. Dig the furry boa! Fabulous shot!

I like the sartorialist to see beautiful people and to admire the looks.

A big hug from Brazil!

Anonymous Jennifer said ... (10:17 AM) :

All these textures, prints, colors and frilly silhouettes seem a bit cartoonish to me. I am usually a Prada fan, but not this time around. However, I am guessing people just had an overdose of Celine's austerity this past season and got bored too quickly.

Blogger Dariana said ... (10:27 AM) :

great picture, but I really don't get the foam platform from the Prada shoes this season.

waves of print and pop, truly pop colors.

Blogger Rebecca said ... (10:44 AM) :

Love the brunette's hair. There are so many messy, wild, uncut looks out there, especially on fashion girls, but sometimes it is refreshing to see a pretty, feminine, considered "cut".

Anonymous HMS said ... (10:49 AM) :

To anonymous above. It is called a tank top. Why do people persist with the most violent language to describe a t-shirt?

If this is fashion now, okay then...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:51 AM) :

The individual pieces may be interesting, but I don't sense personal style that is separate from choosing among the newest things in magazines and shows.

Blogger John B Pritchett said ... (11:02 AM) :

Great skirt-absolutely love the print! The mixture of green and blue wraps is very nice. The brunette is WAY sexy with her wife beater (is there a better name than wife beater? I hate that name...)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:18 PM) :

There is something unintentionally funny here. If you are beautiful and French you can do whatever you want. They seem happy. The look feels a little over branded for me.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:40 PM) :

I wouldn't kick any of these lovely ladies out of bed for eating crackers. Nor would I be embarrassed to be seen them. But I'm just not sure this isn't more of them wearing all their favorite pieces at the same time. I really don't think these are really working.

Apart from that...I love them! And so, maybe it is working for them?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:42 PM) :

i really can't see why everyone seems to be admiring those outfits/colours...?Is it because they assume that they are good when they make it to the blog?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:44 PM) :

great colors! but I guess I am officially old now: while I love my fruit of the loom vests and even like black bras under white clothing the middle gal looks like she forgot her top--at least with the skirt she chose. Also agree with earlier commenter that I like the your shots of the reinterpretations of these looks better than the obligatory and obvious designer numbers.

Blogger Unknown said ... (1:59 PM) :

Wow so trendy?! While the prada stole is amazing I can't help but feel like these women are just "following the trends". I mean Jil Sander and Prada, please they could not be more of the "trend" - setters this season painting women in vibrant colors, I just wish these women had more originality with how they wear their new clothes.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:14 PM) :

I like the outfit on the left best. The women in the middle should have worn another bra. It's the first time I see someone wearing those Prada clothes and shoes (!!!). I think the new "maximalism" is great, but something doesn't seem right with the orange shirt, the vest and the hair...

Anonymous Ruddywashere said ... (2:21 PM) :

I love how the must have item of the season turned out to be this Prada fur wrap thing. It's so freaking FABULOUS hunty. Get it!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:05 PM) :

Isn't everybody wearing Prada? :S

Anonymous marco-ciambella@live.it said ... (3:51 PM) :

Prada s/s 11 is definitely one of their most popular collection of these last years. You see it everywhere in Milano...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:57 PM) :

I agree with the above commenters--"wifebeater" is a horrible term. It's both classist (assuming that domestic violence only happens in blue-collar homes / that violence always happens in blue-collar homes) and sexist (making violence against women seem like a joke or a given). "Tank top" and the British "vest" are perfectly good and accurate terms... why do so many people refuse to use them??

Also sad to see that fur is coming back.

How is it that so many style-conscious people, who at their best value beauty, diversity, and joie de vivre, are often perfectly ok with, and even defensive of, ugliness--of the fur industry, of the behavior of folks like John Galliano, of hateful attitudes in language?

Anonymous moonlightoversun said ... (4:05 PM) :

I don't find the clothes that they are wearing interesting at all.. but I like the foam prada shoes..

Blogger Amanda* said ... (4:19 PM) :

Those shoes are FAB!

Blogger Unknown said ... (4:23 PM) :

The color really pops against the black. I also love the counterintuitive pairing of the printed skirt with those shoes

Blogger Tristan said ... (4:24 PM) :

is that girl with the vest wearing special tights? theres some patterning around her knees/calves.

Blogger Annushka said ... (4:32 PM) :

Delightful, lovely bright colors))

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:42 PM) :

Aside from the beauty and the quality of the clothes, I find these women to be more boring than the usual subjects of your wonderful photos--they look like they're just following trends and buying straight from the runway. Not really seeing anything that's inspiring here. It's actually kind of cool to see this shot juxtaposed to your other ones--it really makes the personal style of so many of your subjects sing that much more!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:56 PM) :

i'm not very impressed with their outfits, seems like there is a disconnect with personal style, and just trend following which makes them look sort of sad and silly.

Anonymous JGirl said ... (5:41 PM) :

In Australia, the white top the girl in the middle is wearing is called a singlet. The term "wife beater" is never used to describe an item of clothing and I don't think many Australian people would know what you were talking about if you referred to the top as such. I agree with others that it is awful term to use.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:43 PM) :

to me they remind russian women. at least, two faces I see.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:55 PM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:16 PM) :

Anonymous Melanieee said ... (7:10 PM) :

I love all of the colors. Expecially the furs. I love how the girl on the left has two very different colored furs on. Its not at all overwhelming. I am impressed.

Blogger Margaret Everton said ... (7:11 PM) :

All of your photos are amazing--

but it's the street shots (and context around the shows, like this photo) that you do best, to help take the runway look into real life.

More of those please!

Is there a line between feeling good about what you're wearing and feeling good about the show you're putting on?

I would be more aware of how I am seen by others than how I felt if I were wearing one of these ensembles.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:22 PM) :

Prada wedges are very pretty. I like them with the black tights and colorful, fitted flouncy skirt. I am not as impressed by the cats in the hat furry tail thing. Its just too silly for me. The woman in the white tank top is beautiful. What a great hair style and lovely dark eyes she has. Still the shoes always steal the show.

Really enjoy the eclectic color mix of this photo, as well as how much fun these girls are having talking to each other. It's as if the energy of the colors matches the girls' excitement. The Prada on the right has the same color blue in the sporty wedges as the blue fur stole around her friend's neck. Can't leave out mention of the bright pink Jil Sander ruffles, which makes the picture. Great eye, Scott! Always love your photos! ♥

This reminds me of "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" --The movie, with more style of course. Super cute wedge heels!

One thing I love is seening how people style up the new season runway pieces in their own way. These girls look great - though the one in the vest neededed a nude bra poor thing sometimes what looks ok in the day can go see-through due to a camera flash. The Prada stoles are amazing, personally I bought mine in faux fur, it is such a vibrant collection, love it!
