Wow, she's stunning!
I love the vintage-y, eclectic feel of the fur collar and the dress....
windeater.blogspot.com
All kinds of loveliness.
i love the innocence of the blue floral pattern, parternered with the elegance of her coat and the nonchalance of her stance. she has a lovely, intense gaze; true beauty.

Love the backdrop and the dress together, harmonious.
www.sparkleontheside.blogspot.com
really love her style !!!!
Like a scene straight out of a movie! I can't decide what draws me more, her beautiful dress, that causally draped coat or the fading chinese storefront. Genius!
WOW, this picture could be from the 50´s - the clothes, the pattern, the loose hair, the background colour. Incredible!
She is other worldly and beautifully framed by this street. Great image.
WOW, this photograph could have been taken in the 50´s - the clothes, the pattern, the loose hair-do, the background colours. Incredible!
excellent, not only the style itself but also how you framed the photo.
Fantastic shot! and nice style!
xx Ale
Oh, my! This is so COOL! I love how the place makes her look even more stylish. This neighborhood is a huge contrast with her close... I like that!
Have a Wonderful Day!

gorgeous. looks like a vintage picture. i especially love the background and i am seeing asian influences in her look because of it.
Isn't funny how the fur collar looks detached from the coat as opposed to a separate piece.
Dress and hair suit the location perfectly something old world east looking about it...
LOVE the print on the dress. For me, it is the sign of summer's arrival.
She's gorgeous. The coat, the dress, everything.
Back to NY!! And what a great photo too! Love her vintage-y look. Especially the fur collar.
Wow...this photograph is so beautiful! I love the vintage feel of her outfit, her relaxed top knot bun, against the setting. So lovely!
Bubbs...

This girl looks like a characters from an epic novel - love it. ck :) x
I love the old tea parlor sign..wish more businesses would keep the old signs. They're charming and they attract customers.
What a great and bohemian outfit. I love that she is peeling a clementine but am surprised that she is letting the peels drop to the floor.
theBohmerian.com
mysterious!!
Alluring, sexy...
The pic is gorgeous - the girl, the background, the vintage mood and the effortless posture.

Nice composition... not sure about the vintage dress, but I like the way the cut matches the coat. And how she fits in with the background!
www.gingerfashionmonsters.blogspot.com
Yes.
She's very stylish in a cunning way. Like it's her way or the highway but I bet you it's easy for her to fall in love.
lindsielove
adorable combination of romantic dress, wooden wedges and piece of fur
Very eastern european look, maybe Russian?

THIS is the Sartorialist. Please go back to more of these.
I say this with respect because I admire your work, but sometimes I get the feeling you are getting paid off by these industry types...There is no creativity there.
Anyway, this is my favourite photo in a long time. Well done!
great photo!1!
Gorgeous! I like the dress print which looks so carefree. The coat and shoes go well.
Gorgeous. So classic.

ohh beautiful dress!!
great dress...nice shot! Beth
As always, lovely photo. But I'm more curious about what you were doing on Doyer St because most of your posts are often elsewhere. I hope you stopped into The Excellent Pork Chop House for some Braised Chicken Soup with Veg Rice. Delicious!

Stunning photograph...beautiful woman.
WOW!! She has on the vintage 'Get There' shoes. I had a pair of those WAY back in the day from Nordstrom. The coat and the dress work too!
Homage to Edward Hooper's work-great atmosphere of loneliness, greeting from croatia-ineida
beautiful image
I wish to make pictures like this someday :)
Were it not for her shoes, I'd think this pic was circa '40's
Looks like a different time period. Great pic and great find.
Incredible picture-- makes me want to go vintage shopping!
La Petite Marmoset
FANTASTIC photograph.
She's gorgeous. The coat is perfect...fab dress
Love the monochromatic colors. And the background of the picture. Lovely.
old-fashioned? very truly so.
attractive? very far from it, imo.
i love this photo. It reminds me "in the mood for love" from Wong Kar-Wai.
this is a fantastic photo.
I love this shot. Really looks from another era.
http://nomadic-d.blogspot.com/
A new favorite, a true classic! The photo draws me in, and makes me want to walk up closer to her. Or perhaps people watch from the window of the tea parlor while sipping a warm cup. Really wonderful :)
Beautiful. Isn't that what spring is all about? A mix a season, the fur, the sandals, the flowery dress, the camel coat?
She threw her tangerine peel on the ground. Tisk, tisk.
lovely blog, i could spend hours flicking through your photos! are they people you pick out on the street to photograph or are they well known/ freinds of yours?

Total Faye Dunaway 'Chinatown' allure... Stunning!
What's truly beautiful about this photo, she's holding an orange instead of a cigarette.
I like her shoes!!
http://www.ohmydior.org/
vintage cherokee shoes from the early 80s. lovely.
Gorgeous old-school glamour. Her dancer-like carriage just makes it all the better.
Wow! Dreamy, like as if from another time... And just think - you captured that moment.
Of all the moments in the day, you caught THAT one. Incredible.
WOW. This is a wonderful photograph.
oh my goodness, the pattern on that dress... LOVE it. great dramatic photo! EverRubyGirl.blogspot.com

i think this girl was working at a restaurant i was at the other night. she is beautiful! and i love her style.
As usual, unique.
You inspired me to do a work about your working style, photography and your close contact to fashion. Thanks to the video 'A visual life' I think that, if you were awesome, now you're too much.
Keep on doing such masterpieces.
:)
Very iconic looking pic..
This photograph is the best not only in style but in the whole street aesthetic. My favorite of the year--it's really quite impressive!
I love how this picture is a scene-setter. It's about so much more than just her outfit. It seems like it could be part of a photo diary depicting where she is at a specific point in time. I Really love this.
wouaaah, this retro look with this retro background. She is beautiful
Wow......a street goddess.
i like it. she looks stunning
Wow! That shot took my breath away! Like a story, movie, history, song, and poem all in one..
Gorgeous!
THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO!!!!
Es precioso todo!!! El vestido, el cuello de piel, el entorno. Beutiful
This has to be one of the best you've ever done on this site. Definitely one of my favorites throughout all the years.
Love the pic, miss the restaurant

LOVE !
..visual texture is delightful - Great pic!
I really like the floral print on her dress.
My Heart Blogged
is she wearing bare legs or stockings?
This picture totally looks like a movie scene. She seems so unique, great style and amazing background. Really like this shot, it really captures a moment.
I have to echo the many sentiments expressed above. The dress, the coat, the girl... All set against the backdrop of the timeworn tea shop. It's one of your best ever. Inspired genius!

Winner photo and beautiful woman, beautiful style.
AMAZING SHOT!very Vogue...
Caterina
Total "In the Mood for Love" style!
I miss New York ...
Great background!
Wow, this looks like a moment out of an old film. What a great fashion moment!
www.greeneggsandglam.blogspot.com
this is such a stunning shot. She's so beautiful and elegant!
That was my absolute favorite restaurant. Spent many meals having dim sum there in the 80s/90s...
What a gorgeous photo - otherworldly and brimming with old-fashioned class.
Perfection. The look as well as the shot...I love everything about this image.
I think she's the prettiest girl I've ever seen. She looks so natural. Not perfect, but that's what makes her beauty. Her bone structure is amazing. She could be a great model. She has fierce in her eyes, crazy!
And I looove her dress and fur collar too. But her face really makes the pictures I think
What a litterbug. What an attitude. What a photo!
(oh and just look at the shadow of the curve of the provocative hip 'butting' at the camera..)
Almost cult, this photo.
so cute!!!
Nice apple.
Feel like it's a step back in time...beautiful shot!
ooh la la
Once again, great work. The clothes are great but what makes it for me is the background. This adds to the vintage feel and ambiance. I feel a zoot riot comin on! Thanks for this.

while I think her shoes are the wrong choice for this otherwise romantically whimsical outfit, I. LOVE. THIS. PHOTO.
It's perfection ....besides the shoes ;)
Great photograph, there is something timeless in this composition. Thumbs Up!
this is super cool!!
A New York version of a modern In The Mood For Love. Absolutely stunning! Wong Kar-Wai would be so proud.
Perfect alchemy, yes even the orange peel on the floor. The picture wouldn't be the same without it.
Your perfect eye, caputred the perfect New York moment. It makes me miss home. Thank you!
Absolutely stunning shot, somehow it reminds of the 1930's Shanghai...great shot Scott!
Amazing image. I love this - the faded reds and yellows of the sign and the blue and white of her dress are wonderful. Like a hazy Jack Pierson photo.
This image speaks volume is subject, location, as well as wardrobe selection. Bravo !
BK
So cute!

I love the atmosphere out there. She is the perfect match for that picture.
-Romantic Pictures
Amazing photo! Kind of exotic and mysterious.
vintage style! I really love the mix of the colors and the furry.
http://cutoutcut.blogspot.com/
Such a beautiful shot.
http://herribbonsandherbows.blogspot.com/
As far as I'm concerned, this is quintessential street style/blog/fashion. your shoots are real, real people, real class and style. Some I find are too intimidating or good but does not resinate. you are the best at finding something of pure beauty, not just a shot of fashion in one dimension ( you can find that anywhere) there is more to your photos somehow. It's very inspirational. I love them- this is wonderful. thank you
I love the casual elegance of this shot!
I've always loved those moments when a city scape looks like a stage set. Hopper captured this in his paintings. In this photo, the light isn't really theatrical, but the setting and the subject are. Fabulous.
Wow those shoes work!!!
http://fixyourfacemakeup.blogspot.com/
I think if she had worn shoes of the same era as her dress it would make the whole look too costume-y. The shoes make it a bit more modern. Great shot top to bottom front to back !
you have a great eye for setting up photos...
the place makes the woman and the woman makes this place, as the clothes makes the woman and the woman makes the clothes!
What a catch!
She looks so sultry with out even trying. The fur stole ads an old school glamour feel.
http://jimpricute.blogspot.com/
orientalism is back?
love the throwback look. but, how dare she litter the orange peel!
Amazing! Anyone know where her shoes are from?
DAMN!! This is a GORGEOUS photograph.
Who walks around town peeling an orange?
This has got to be my fav so far. Good job!
Sexy, cool, vintage and more sexy!!
Fake fur?
Hy!
I like, love, like, no .. LOVE Your blog ! :)
I take the courage and put some picttures on my blog :

to show some beauty, style, and fashion for the romanian people!
Love!
Gabriella
Great photo!
Thanks for choosing our tea parlor as your backdrop!
Nom Wah is open for dim sum 1030am to 9pm everyday!
www.nomwah.com
The background creates the perfect atmosphere for her style. She looks unique and fashionable without trying too hard, she looks comfortable, and she's eating well!
You know, I like this so much I'd like a print of it for my wall. Do you sell prints?? :)
I love the lighting, the combination of colors and the romantic mood of this photo. It really captures the style mood of the moment and yet it feels timeless.
Very nice photograph!
The color and style of this photo is amazing.
I love her top notch. It's what all the girls were doing in Australia when I was there in February.
...reminds me of the 1920s era...
Yay, real thighs!
Epitome of beauty! Timeless color combination sculpted by modern proportion. And her expression, that gaze... her look makes me sentimental for moments in the future that haven't even happened. Captured!
This is my favourite picture and favourite outfit so far.

http://www.stylink.nl/images/stories/actueel/erwin%20olaf.jpg
This shot is phenomenal. The woman is very beautiful, as is her ensemble, but it's the beauty of this photo that catches the eye.
WOW
LOVE this look
www.bonjourbelletristesse.blogspot.com/
that street is amazing to drive through.
the photo could look far east instead of lower nyc.
I love the way you compose your shots. They are each like a little painting.
Seems from a different time..a different reference...wonderfully simple, elegant and understated!
Love this picture...everything fits so well and yet it doesn't:-)
very cinema!
Lovely photograph, but I don't love her style.
photographers just like further orientalizing chinatown, despite the fact that this street is the first to be gentrified by the sort who reads this blog and cries out "where's the past?"
This picture works on all levels. The background, the subject....love it.
fashiontypology.blogspot.com
I love her style - vintage and original, sexy yet understated.
The frock of a poor Betty Draper, the coat of grandma, the shoes and jutted hip of flamenco... and eating a peach? Beautiful and not awkward.
nice shot!
wonderful picture.in sepia colour it would look like shot from 30-ties,previous century... and.. i love the dress!
reads very regina spektor to me
absolutely breathtaking ..
I just saw this -- gorgeous style!
