So elegant. I love the print of her dress.
classic lady
I'm loving this series on gorgeous old people who seem to have aged very very gracefully! xx meenal
One of the last living (classic) Icons.
This week, the shots posted have been incredible! Young and old! Thanks.
Loved that print!

I adore this shot, she seems so graceful!
Beautiful shot. amazing beauty.
come essere perfette anche a una certa età! ;-)

Elegance!
I always felt Lee was the more inspiring of her and her sister Jackie, she has that bohemian elegance that is so fab!
that coat!!
www.myamalgam.blogspot.com
Elegance personified. (Not to mention dignity.) Such a contrast to so much celebrity trashiness!!! (Although trash can be good for a laugh.)
She is indeed a style icon!
Style has no age
her face tells such a story..

Gotta love venerable fashionistas.
Any curvy fatshionistas out there? Follow me, and I'll follow you. :)
Mounds of Joy
Oh, the Bouvier sisters! There is no one like them...
Beautiful!
And I'm intrigued by her earring - intricate yet sturdy.
She's gorgeaous! I wish I would look that good when I get at her age!
She is gorgeous!
You are doing such a great thing, it makes me so happy to hear others loving it too!
I have worked in the rag trade as a designer for years, am now studying fine art at Parsons, and I have always spent so much time thinking about what beauty really IS. The social constructs that exist surrounding beauty make it all so interesting.
Food for thought.
I am not sure I have figured it out yet, but one thing I know for sure...living with a little beauty everyday is what makes living inspired.
The scent of violets, a strain of music that makes your heart weep and your jaw tighten, a touch of silk that is like the flank of a fawn, or the sight of a hopelessly beautiful jawline, shoulder or cheekbone...
something ethereal and elusive about being
completely present in what we do...
magic.
*sigh*
I SO love what you do!
Thanks for being so inspiring!
Really elegant
Older women bring out such a scarce elegance hard to be found today..

It's true style is ageless......I love her antique diamond earrings.
What a surprise to see her and get the pictures ?
Love it
Forgot to mention her jackie-O glasses
Glamorous!!!! Such a beauty
she looks like Costanza Pascolato's american cousin...
she's a beautiful woman, the earrings are gorgeous, as well as the elegant zebra/tiger print...
She's 78. Oh, the genes (hardly due to lifestyle? Though you never know).
Elegant and vibrant.
Ms. Raziwell is way older than my mom but if my mom ever decides to get into a funk about aging, I'm going to show her this picture and say something like "she still takes time to care about how she looks", or she looks great, why don't you show her what REALLY looks great." Arsenal, just in case.
The word "icon" is overused and has lost its bite. However, Lee Radziwill is a true icon.
I love this woman! Eternally chic.
This woman is more elegant than her sister! Great woman
Just like her sister Jackei, Lee proves that "Style is eternal"
Wow, this shot could've easily been taken fifty years ago, it's very
glamourous.
When I see all the thongs sticking out of low-cut jeans (still!) I wonder where the heavens is this world going and why don't young women draw inspiration from impeccably dressed people like Lee more.
Except for the mouth, she looks like my mother, who is of that era and used to wear a French twist and glamourous black and white clothing.
so elegant
http://www.therealbisforbrittany.blogspot.com/
Wow! Such an amazing woman! I had the chance to see her at the Paris Fashion Week before the Valentino show and she looked stunning. She was very nice with the photographers, she was smiling and she even exchanged a few words with them. Very stylish!
http://fashionthroughtravel.blogspot.com/
I once walked past her on an empty Park Avenue .. white v-neck tee, jeans, black cashmere sweater around her shoulders ... I have never seen anyone look so amazingly chic in something so simple in my whole life. She is phenomenal.
One elegant lady :) Elegant coat and earrings!
how great
absolutely amazing!!

Recalls Audrey Hepburn who only got more lovely as she matured.
perfect! so elegant :D

Beautiful photo. The last time I saw pictures of her was in a Vogue profile a few years ago. In it she looked lovely, but suspciously smooth and soft-focus. She's much more impressive in this picture, without styling, posing, and photoshopping.
uau.
(and I never take the time to comment, although I love your photos.)
My gosh is that really her...
You're so lucky to have taken this pic.
Classy.
what a beautiful bone structure! i love this photograph.

Still flying the flag!
She is so chic, and fabulous.
My Heart Blogged
Supremely elegant, with a little bit of sass in the form of the stylish zebra pattern in the coat.
It's so nice to see that Lee Radziwill seems to understand that that trying to look half one's age is dehumanizing and in the end, not in line with the classical ideal of beauty.
shes looks gorgeous in her old age! theultraviolette.blogspot.com
wow..this woman just looks like her sister...glamorous, fascinating,
one of those whom borns once in a millions
¡she looks amazing!,absolutely elegant & chic.
Wow, what a beauty
Oh my word, so sophisticated! Beautiful high neck.
What a class act!
I want to grow old exactly as beautiful as she.
Classy, looks like an Egyptian statue!
Gorgeous! So elegant!
http://nomadic-d.blogspot.com/
I guess her ancestors were the graet polish family- Radziwiłł, the y were always close to the monarch. One can surely tell there is something royal in Lee Radziwill...
The most elegant woman there for sure...
crossingredlines
Stunning. She looks as interesting as her story would be to tell. Iconic glamour.
According to photographer Peter Beard, she was the best sex of any he'd ever had in a very, um, active life with some very famous, even iconic beauties (Cheryl Tiegs, Iman, etc...).
Such elegance!! I love her Fendi shades.

She has grown old amazingly well. She still looks like a lady, but an accessible lady.
Your photo is great. It does justice to a great subjet.
elegance, refinement, class... one doesnt see such traits anymore in those gossip mags. but here!
Wow... She is so beautiful.
Thanks for the great variety of posts lately! Your shots have been nothing short of wonderful, as always.

Anonymous at 8:01-was your comment really necessary? Bet you kiss and tell.
Amazing animalier print!
http://fashiondoesntexist.blogspot.com/
Gorgeous. From my favorite fashion era. Love that you caught her!
When I see ladies like her, I'm not afraid of getting old anymore! Beautiful hair!!
@Anonymous 7:34 am
Well, no, the info was not really "necessary", but doesn't it add another dimension to the animal print she's wearing?
Great portrait of a woman who is such an inspiration....ty.....L
Old doesnt' have to equal dowdy! Love Lee!
Maravillosa!!!!!
Wow. Powerfull shot and powerfull woman. I love it - how she shows her age, but is still so stylish and charming.
how crazy---for some reason i was thinking of her the other day; wondered how she is faring.
Mahveluss
So incredibly beautiful and elegant. I can't stop looking at this picture.
A real style icon - and proves you can grow old very gracefully indeed!
My God Scott!
Just a few short years ago you started this whole style sensation online. and now, there's lovely Garance, world trAVEL, front row, enormous influence, well deserved recognition. oh the stories you could tell!
iT JUST doesn't get any better than Lee Radizwell up close and candid on her Paris home turf. Were you just a tad nervous, shaky?
spectactular shot!
ps..enjoyed the earlier comment about Peter Beard's 'vignette' of Ms. Radziwell.
thank you.
annabella
This woman has seen it all. think about it.

STUNNING!
as a so called "elder lady" i have to tell you my appreciation of these marvellous ladies you pictured this month. Thank you plenty. they are stunning!! And, i do like the young ones too
Some of your subjects certainly provide the fashion equivalent to the notion that many great interior designers adhere to: "Don't decorate, curate."
I agree with Docta Slick.
this is the kind of woman that makes me feel better about getting older.
I sat right next to Lee at a restaurant on the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris a few years ago, and I must say she looked simply stellar in person..

For todays Modern Man..
Bravo. Simplement bravo.
Polish classic! GREAT!
She looks so distinguished,so elegant.
http://camillecupcake.blogspot.com/
Thanks for showing your pictures of women of ALL ages, from kids through to mature. It gives us a perspective on what our lives (and looks) can become, or already are.
There's no need to worry about getting older when I see a picture like this - of a woman who obviously nurtures, enjoys and creates her own style to perfection. That's about following your own instincts, and not someone elses. Bravo. I love it. Thanks again for inspiration. Ciao, L. x x
VERY Duchess of Windsor.
She looks great!
Many youngers don't look as great as her ;)
She is stunning!
Guau!! THAT is style!
F A B U L O U S!
Funny that Curtains in My Trees mentioned her Jackie-O glasses when Jackie-O happens to be her sister. I had no idea she was still alive
Love her. She is so classy. She really fits her aristocratic last name.
I would though like her to have some lipstick on.

Belíssima!
absolutely legendary in style and impeccable in class!
meravigliosa creatura
She is one of the most fantastic women I've ever seen.
the Radziwiłł family was the greatest and most important one in Lithuania. it's the whole history... no wonder this lady seems so elegant and "royal". simply beautiful!
cheers!
http://staklenebombone.blogspot.com
BEEEEAUUUUTIFUL. Truly. Some women really grow old gracefully and in this case...elegantly.
OMG!ela parece a Costanza Pascolato(que para mim e a consultora de moda mais querida e rainha no Brasil).
i want to be like her on my 70'80!
Thank you for this post. Would you include more older women please. I see so many older men all the time. I love your blog and would love to see more of this mature female perspective. There are so many fashionable older women all in and about the fashion capitals, just like there are male. Think that is why you got so many comments on this. Yes, I know she is Jackie's sister but still....
Thank You in Advance.
Monique
O M G. I want to be like her when I'm older!!!
Well, it's no brainer... check the blueblood of the Radziwil(l) line... :)
she looks like audrey hepburn c.1980's
so poilised and elegant!
Still amazing after all these years. Looking at her I can not forget her sister Jackie, patrician style icon, what a tragic loss.
