They create such amazing silhouettes. I especially love them pleated.
LOVE the first photo. That combination of textures is brilliant.

Love the whole style of the first lady. Tough hair and glasses, super cozy and roomy knitted pullover and then the delicate skirt. Just love it.
wow, she just looks gorgeous...
This is beautiful! It feels romantic and relaxed.
Have a Happy Spring! :-)

I love skirt and sweater outfit!

Love the contrast between the gentle pale maxi skirts and the more tough upper part.
These skirts were everywhere during the various fashion weeks. Wonder if hers is Rag and Bone. In any event, they make for beautiful photos.
She looks so comfortable.
I love that first shot, the colours and everything. Gorgeous.
Cool pics!
Lovely,I like them.

love the sweater and skirt combo---just have to hope a little dog doesn't jump up on your skirt!
Just bought one from the local thrift store! Brand new! From Barney's!!!!!$2.50!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
White dresses are in vogue today in both your posts. Is that Garance in the top photo? She looks lovely on that country road, pretty surroundings
beautiful skirt
xxx from ARGENTINA
i love this look- my favorite styling of it is from your feb 2011 archives: http://www.thesartorialist.com/photos/21411Zanna_6198Web.jpg
i was actually thinking about this image the other day- and when i go shopping i'm definitely gonna pick one up!
I'm not usually a skirt wearing female, but these skirts make me want to run out and buy one to wear. I have a feeling when one puts it on dancing has to happen!
these shots are beautiful! These skirts are perfect for Spring time in San Francisco. soooo goooood.
What a perfect choice for Spring. Looks amazing!
Just love It!
Absolutely love the fullness and fluidity of the white skirts. Pairing it with the sweater is such a great idea!
amazing!

i'm really loving this look. you've given me some ideas on how to wear my long flowy skirt which has been sitting in my wardrobe unworn.
best.
Love the fabric, sheer skirts, but not see through.
Love those long flowy skirts. Am I the only one worried about the hem getting filthy in New York?
LOVE that first image. The treeline really accentuates the length and lines of her skirt.
Perhaps you should buy Garance a long pale skirt, Scott, these are beautiful! I believe she wrote that you didn't like the look.
The divine shot, is created by the nature!!!))
mmmm ...scrumptious.
so feminine & so comfortably down~to~earth & edgy all at once
They look great, but you have to be REALLLYYYY skinny
beautiful
For me, it is her curls in the first pic that brings it all together.

And for those following the mohair sweater trend - freezing it helps bring back its fluff!
Such a delightful surprise and so appropriate as the daffodils are in bloom. I think the zipper on skirt 2, needs to be fixed. It breaks the fluidity...
Reminiscent of goddesses.....timeless grace, elegance, as delicately colored and textured as if from nature. If there was more of this gentleness and sensitivity to inspire people in the hard cold cities, would the world be a better place? I tend to think so.......
gorgeous! maxi skrits are EVERYWHERE this season!

Romantic! long silhouette of bias skirt has been aways my favorite. Finally good bye to mini skirt!
They both look gorgeous and effortless, stylish and unpretentious. So glad long skirts are back! Yippee!!
2 words on the first one, Michael Jackson
It is a lovely look for the tall and lean. Long white skirts create a proportion issue that is critical...go ahead...try to imitate this look. NOT so easy as it looks...kind of like leggings..either it is perfect or you are a victim...
What a magnificient photo. You can see the silhouette of a dancer who would delight us with an arabesque in any moment. I love it.
this maxi skirt is wonderful and creates awesome effects! Great pics! <3

The second photo is amazing. So gorgeous with a shearling jacket!
xo
the skirts makes me want get swept up by the wind. its so enchanting.
The first one girl, looks like Garance :D
LOVE THE FIRST PHOTO
IT IS A MICHAEL JACKSON LOOK
KISSES FROM MADRID
Love the combination of materials!

I Love her style!
Lovely pictures!
it's a romantic look, and i like the first photo and outfit - she was meant to be photographed on that particular spot - but these sunglasses on her remind me disturbingly of michael jackson (as he would have liked to be, presumably).
Ahh, so pretty. I love these skirts in white, rather than rather predicable black. They look so fresh!
xx
Gorgeous
Cute sweater
http://fabulouslifeofdiogotorres.blogspot.com/
Oh this first photo is so beautiful I wish I took it :))
first shot is amazing
Oh... I love the light skirt with the chunky sweater. I would expect jewels and soft metal pieces with the outfit but somehow the rough sunglasses work. I wish I could pull that off. :(((
melanie
Fabulous dress, elegant
Have you noticed that in almost all the recessions in historty woman's skirts have becomed longer?
Amazing skirt with pretty sweater can me more lovely that i think!
http://richiesnotes.blogspot.com/
It definitely gets your attention to see this worn on the street.
LAV this look! So gorgeous! mish mash of the two looks!
http://mylifeasawifey.blogspot.com/
Beautiful look! J'adore!
I love the second photo. Fortuny revisited.Uhmmm!
The skirt I can live without, but that gorgeous sweater in the top photo I definitely covet.
that gorgeous grey angora sweater..isn't that a stella mccartney?
the first photo is just framed so beautifully, the grey of the sweater between the grey of the trees..
the white skirt highlighted against a white road..
silver shadows contrasting with silver shoes..
cool( greys/silvers/whites) and ethereal.
The first photo is just perfect!
a pleated maxi skirt - on my must ahve list for spring!!
http://heelsandinspiration.blogspot.com
I think the woman in the first photo shows how amazing this look can be. The soft textures are wonderful. I also like the look in the second photo but the first one is my favorite. I prefer the look in these two photo's over the first one of the girl in Milan.
Much too pretty and floaty and diaphanous for the city, in my opinion - I can't help thinking about dust and dirt, it's wrecking my head!!
I'm loving the maxi skirt the more I see it. I especially adore the ones that seem to float and billow in the wind.
Fuzzy sweater and a long sheer skirt - a truly classic combination
wow gorgeous !!
mohair and silk chiffon, the perfect juxtaposition, Jx
I love this look, diaphanous and ethereal.
amazing

Fabulous, I like long skirts a lot - this way especially.
http://www.isthisitmodelsreview.com/
Those skirts are beyond ethereal. This is my favorite new feminine touch of the season -- they put a woman's body on a pedestal, outlining & hinting without overpowering or upstaging. Beautiful.
No matter how other street photographers try, i dont see in their photographs what i see in yours almost always, Authenticity. You capture the person’s spirit, personality, feel and dare i say it - love. a bit deep for a tuesday morning here in New Zealand, but... its true. Love Love Love “The Sartorialist” Peace.
Very dreamy skirts. I really want a pleated skirt - maybe a short one, though.

Beautiful skirt. really fashionable.
www.warsawberlin.blogspot.com
This looks like my wedding gown. It just hurts to see it 'wipe' the sidewalk! :) beautiful anyway, and ingeniously paired with the jacket!
Is this a trend?
Loving the angora/mohair against the skirt and the shearling jacket is a great juxtaposition.
love the ethereal quality of the first picture! Wish I could take photographs like these. Thanks!
http://le-chic-boutique.blogspot.com
beautiful. they sell them here: http://www.freepeople.com/clothes-skirts/wrapped-in-pleats-maxi-skirt/
I love the Ethereal Look <3
www.catwalkcity.blogspot.com/

Hi,
I am obsessing over the first picture... the sweater is amazing! Does anyone have any idea who it is by or if you have seen anything similar?
Thanks
Whats going on on this second skirt? Looks like it was sewn poorly at the seam where the zipper is, no?
Hello - and thank you! This photo looked so good even small on the screen when you took it - and now after a little while it looks even better.
For those who like the jumper: hey yes! There is a lot in it to like. It's a great Russian young talent who has just created his little brand: Forget-me-not.
http://forgetmenotblog.tumblr.com/
These jumpers are seriously the best.
Have a nice week!
Alex
It´s just wonderfull.
