I'm not usually a skirt wearing female, but these skirts make me want to run out and buy one to wear. I have a feeling when one puts it on dancing has to happen!

Blogger fromblank said ... (8:33 PM) :

i'm really loving this look. you've given me some ideas on how to wear my long flowy skirt which has been sitting in my wardrobe unworn.

best.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:46 PM) :

Love the fabric, sheer skirts, but not see through.

Blogger Unknown said ... (8:55 PM) :

Love those long flowy skirts. Am I the only one worried about the hem getting filthy in New York?

Blogger Marc said ... (9:17 PM) :

LOVE that first image. The treeline really accentuates the length and lines of her skirt.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:17 PM) :

Perhaps you should buy Garance a long pale skirt, Scott, these are beautiful! I believe she wrote that you didn't like the look.

Blogger Annushka said ... (9:23 PM) :

The divine shot, is created by the nature!!!))

Anonymous mickleworks said ... (9:25 PM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:59 PM) :

beautiful

Blogger Naftali Stern said ... (10:57 PM) :

For me, it is her curls in the first pic that brings it all together.

Blogger indigo warrior said ... (11:08 PM) :

And for those following the mohair sweater trend - freezing it helps bring back its fluff!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:10 PM) :

Such a delightful surprise and so appropriate as the daffodils are in bloom. I think the zipper on skirt 2, needs to be fixed. It breaks the fluidity...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:39 PM) :

Reminiscent of goddesses.....timeless grace, elegance, as delicately colored and textured as if from nature. If there was more of this gentleness and sensitivity to inspire people in the hard cold cities, would the world be a better place? I tend to think so.......

Blogger Alexa said ... (11:43 PM) :

gorgeous! maxi skrits are EVERYWHERE this season!

Blogger Jeong-Hee said ... (12:51 AM) :

Romantic! long silhouette of bias skirt has been aways my favorite. Finally good bye to mini skirt!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:21 AM) :

They both look gorgeous and effortless, stylish and unpretentious. So glad long skirts are back! Yippee!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:28 AM) :

2 words on the first one, Michael Jackson

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:11 AM) :

It is a lovely look for the tall and lean. Long white skirts create a proportion issue that is critical...go ahead...try to imitate this look. NOT so easy as it looks...kind of like leggings..either it is perfect or you are a victim...

Blogger Stella said ... (3:30 AM) :

What a magnificient photo. You can see the silhouette of a dancer who would delight us with an arabesque in any moment. I love it.

Blogger MELISSA Z. said ... (3:40 AM) :

Anonymous roelien said ... (6:27 AM) :

it's a romantic look, and i like the first photo and outfit - she was meant to be photographed on that particular spot - but these sunglasses on her remind me disturbingly of michael jackson (as he would have liked to be, presumably).

Blogger eliza said ... (7:49 AM) :

Ahh, so pretty. I love these skirts in white, rather than rather predicable black. They look so fresh!

Anonymous Melanie said ... (9:30 AM) :

Oh... I love the light skirt with the chunky sweater. I would expect jewels and soft metal pieces with the outfit but somehow the rough sunglasses work. I wish I could pull that off. :(((

The skirt I can live without, but that gorgeous sweater in the top photo I definitely covet.

Anonymous Maryanne said ... (11:20 AM) :

that gorgeous grey angora sweater..isn't that a stella mccartney?
the first photo is just framed so beautifully, the grey of the sweater between the grey of the trees..
the white skirt highlighted against a white road..
silver shadows contrasting with silver shoes..
cool( greys/silvers/whites) and ethereal.

Blogger Kristina said ... (11:56 AM) :

The first photo is just perfect!

Blogger Contact said ... (12:09 PM) :

a pleated maxi skirt - on my must ahve list for spring!!

http://heelsandinspiration.blogspot.com

Blogger Mel said ... (1:50 PM) :

I think the woman in the first photo shows how amazing this look can be. The soft textures are wonderful. I also like the look in the second photo but the first one is my favorite. I prefer the look in these two photo's over the first one of the girl in Milan.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:53 PM) :

Much too pretty and floaty and diaphanous for the city, in my opinion - I can't help thinking about dust and dirt, it's wrecking my head!!

Blogger Trou, .ma petite cherie said ... (2:06 PM) :

I'm loving the maxi skirt the more I see it. I especially adore the ones that seem to float and billow in the wind.

Anonymous phyllis said ... (2:09 PM) :

Fuzzy sweater and a long sheer skirt - a truly classic combination

Blogger Unknown said ... (2:23 PM) :

Blogger bridget anne said ... (3:56 PM) :

Those skirts are beyond ethereal. This is my favorite new feminine touch of the season -- they put a woman's body on a pedestal, outlining & hinting without overpowering or upstaging. Beautiful.

Anonymous iScout said ... (4:24 PM) :

No matter how other street photographers try, i dont see in their photographs what i see in yours almost always, Authenticity. You capture the person’s spirit, personality, feel and dare i say it - love. a bit deep for a tuesday morning here in New Zealand, but... its true. Love Love Love “The Sartorialist” Peace.

Blogger Meredith M Howard said ... (4:25 PM) :

Very dreamy skirts. I really want a pleated skirt - maybe a short one, though.

This looks like my wedding gown. It just hurts to see it 'wipe' the sidewalk! :) beautiful anyway, and ingeniously paired with the jacket!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:02 PM) :

Is this a trend?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:53 PM) :

Loving the angora/mohair against the skirt and the shearling jacket is a great juxtaposition.

Hi,
I am obsessing over the first picture... the sweater is amazing! Does anyone have any idea who it is by or if you have seen anything similar?
Thanks

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:26 AM) :

Whats going on on this second skirt? Looks like it was sewn poorly at the seam where the zipper is, no?

Anonymous Alex Boyarskaya said ... (9:32 AM) :

Hello - and thank you! This photo looked so good even small on the screen when you took it - and now after a little while it looks even better.

For those who like the jumper: hey yes! There is a lot in it to like. It's a great Russian young talent who has just created his little brand: Forget-me-not.

These jumpers are seriously the best.

Have a nice week!
