those photos are amazing. you're so talented!
have a great weekend

Blogger The Photodiarist said ... (3:24 PM) :

The footwear is totally incredible. Those multi-toned snakeskin boots are mine next season!

Anonymous KateyDoodles said ... (3:25 PM) :

Funny, this collection doesn't do anything for me - I don't think the pieces interact well together.

Blogger SabinePsynopsis said ... (3:30 PM) :

It seems there is no stopping Miuccia. I won't even try to have an opinion, because in my experience after a few months every single of her designs have become major trends - and I follow like a little sheep.

Blogger Kacrates said ... (3:32 PM) :

Prada this fall is stunning. Fashion is fun again <3

Blogger Ripped Jeans said ... (3:33 PM) :

they just keep getting better and better!

In love....

Anonymous elxoxodetuprima said ... (3:43 PM) :

Normally I am a huge detractor of Miuccia's work. Her pretended intellectualism and her fake "i want to make you think"attitude borders the ridicule(chandelier dresses and chiquita banana tunics to say the least). Neverthless with this collection she surprised me in a very pleasant way. Her references to Saint Laurent with the Mondrian dresses are stunningly beautiful.
The cut, the shapes and the materials were all used in a modern way but with a vague reference to the past, in a Rabaneish way( the plastic scales dresses are simply gorgeous).
I am in love with this collection.Pitty there was no black girls or chinese girls(her main market actually, but here too she was in the "im not doing the obvious" mood) in the casting.

Anonymous arachne said ... (3:49 PM) :

Miuccia looks back with eyes forward

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:58 PM) :

Gosh! It's so beautiful, elegant and... artistic! oh, just awesome! I love it!

Blogger franca maisha said ... (4:04 PM) :

just... WOW!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:09 PM) :

Oh no. How do you feel about the use of proportion in the styling?
Very awkward length of boot used with these looks, in my opinion. Managed to highlight the most unflattering 1/4 of the human leg. Even on these gorgeous women. Some flats or chunky heels would have been much better, no?

Blogger sarah said ... (4:18 PM) :

Loved how they styled lindsey in the shot above, wasn't a huge fan of the plastic circle dresses but overall i was pleased w/ the collection :D

Anonymous Red Red said ... (4:18 PM) :

The boots were made for walking...

Anonymous princessglee said ... (4:25 PM) :

Yes, yes and yes. The shoe/boot/sock is quite different and desireable.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:28 PM) :

HEY! All these catwalk pics are great, but we visit your blog beacuse of the street style, don't loose the focus!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:32 PM) :

this feels like something that were shown in 2008 and before that in the multi culti 90s. mmmm. it is very nice but a little disappointing from such a strong house.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:33 PM) :

The belts are in a really unflattering spot for any woman, resting on the widest part of their bodies drawing your attention there. If you can make a runway model look this wide, this look will be unflattering on the majority of women.

Blogger Unknown said ... (4:34 PM) :

The fish scale dresses were my favorite looks!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:51 PM) :

the first two remind me of the fabric Mondo designed in project runway, similar colors and also use of squares

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:55 PM) :

I think every look is awful. this entire collection is not wearable, the proportions are way off... I give it a huge thumbs down. very poorly put together. I'm shocked that anyone is a fan.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:00 PM) :

Love how the models are holding the handbags, regardless of whether they're clutches.

Still, your photos are better than the collection. I don't find it especially inspiring.

Blogger sooky said ... (5:01 PM) :

thankyouthankyouthankyou for this!!!!! Prada is always so amazing!!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:08 PM) :

Nice boots, but the dresses do not appear to bring out the best in the models. The dresses are sacks.

Blogger Caroline Lees said ... (5:09 PM) :

In love with all these shoes, they're stunning.

Blogger Urbanita trying in the city said ... (5:11 PM) :

great collection. I love the boots!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:11 PM) :

I think the Gucci collection is much stronger than Prada this season: The right combinations of sexy:quirky, demure:exposed, wearable:OTT. Miuccia hasn't quite hit that perfect balance, but some great elements in there.

Blogger My Savage Side said ... (5:57 PM) :

I really like the third model.

love it!

Blogger Who Moved my Birkin said ... (6:11 PM) :

I can honnestly say this isn't my favorite Prada collection...I do think the Spring collection is perfect!

Blogger Who Moved my Birkin said ... (6:13 PM) :

This isn't my favorite PRADA collection, what a a let down since Spring 11 is so amazing!

Blogger Oh Sarah C! said ... (6:15 PM) :

The footwear is amazing but the clothes reesmble an ill fitting Santa Claus suit.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:15 PM) :

Great pictures as always but this Prada collection doesn't do anything for me. Nothing is really wearable imo

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:50 PM) :

this collection looks uninspired, and frankly, a bit dreary...

Anonymous Sam said ... (8:04 PM) :

Not a great collection. I am still waiting for ONE great show this whole fashion season. I think all designers really need to take a vacation for a season.

Anonymous Grace said ... (9:09 PM) :

I'm pretty disappointed with Prada this season. The proportions are interesting but it just doesn't work. Maybe with different fabrics it could of worked but such a strong house could of done better.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:25 PM) :

While the images are beautiful, the entire collection looks like an exercise in deliberately poor proportions and unflattering silhouettes. It is loud and dumpy next to the exquisite Gucci collection.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:45 PM) :

beautiful collection.. fall 2011 is looking colorfully refined.. i adore it in Prada. Thank You for all your pictures Scott and keeping us updated with all the beautiful collections down the runway and style streets.

Blogger ricola said ... (10:07 PM) :

beautiful. as always.

Anonymous Ode to a Macaron said ... (10:32 PM) :

It was so beautiful......the colors were amazing. And your pics capture them perfectly!!

Blogger Deniz said ... (12:51 AM) :

it's hard to concentrate to the designs from the marginal faces chosen for models. imho the models should never suppress in any way what they wear.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:57 AM) :

This collection looks like it has been created for the purpose for meeting a deadline.

I see very little creativity and inspiration here.

Salut,
from Hamilton, New Zealand. :)

Blogger livingshoes said ... (3:16 AM) :

love the shoes!

Blogger Stacey Kay said ... (3:17 AM) :

I can't say that I was particularly drawn to the styling in this collection, but I do appreciate the house moving forward, when so many other houses have been stuck in the same trends for seasons on end.

just lovely. Great shots!

Blogger reigs said ... (5:53 AM) :

Fur again! I think the fur arguement is really about to kick off and I for one am steadfastly against it. I also think some designers use the negative publicity to raise the profile of their collections. Who was it that said "There's only one thing worse than being talked about and that's NOT being talked about."?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:17 AM) :

Love the pop of color. And the sight of the models clutching all types of bags uniformly to one side. There's a certain neatness and chic-ness to this collection. But wearability? Not quite; I'd look too wide. Even the models do not look as lithe as they usually do.

Blogger Álvaro said ... (6:26 AM) :

Bravo!! Love the plastic coats!

:)

Blogger fashionxxi said ... (7:20 AM) :

Fantastic Miuccia, like always!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:01 AM) :

I'm baffled by this collection. It doesn't make any sense to me.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:34 AM) :

I enjoyed most of the "mondrian" inspired frocks but was especially taken with two minimal black numbers, one sleeveless somewhere in the middle of the collection.

Blogger Michelle Lee said ... (8:43 AM) :

its so funny how before until like last year '10 miu miu looked way better and this yr to me miu miu fell down and prada came back to its fame once again
love the collection

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:20 AM) :

6th pic in that girl is the epitome of cool; I would get nervous trying to talk with her. I get nervous just thinking of talking with her! Something about the color combinations in the preceding pics seems off, except pic 3, as if being inspired by a kilt.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:19 PM) :

Even the models look disappointed.
For such a strong house with such a strong Spring collection... what happened? I feel like I've seen this all before, and even if this was a ready-to-wear collection, hardly any modern woman could wear those proportions. It's all very uninspired.

Blogger Rosemary said ... (12:39 PM) :

Your photos are vibrant, however I agree with the other posters who mentioned frocks' frumpiness. Also, the boots make their legs look larger than they can possibly be...not a fan.

Blogger Unknown said ... (12:50 PM) :

Cool fur details!"

http://fashiondoesntexist.blogspot.com/

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:58 PM) :

The 4th and 5th models look to young for these clothes. These are clothes to be worn by women, not young girls. There is nothing sexy or sophisticated about those models, and they cancel out those qualities which are very evident in the collection.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:25 PM) :

I like the idea behind this collection, but I defenitely don't like the shapes. I can't imagine a normal woman body in any of these cuts...

Blogger -- said ... (1:39 PM) :

i really like it, it has a 60s twist, especially with the belts and the buttons, the length is modern, although that sounds weird, but the 60s dresses were way shorter. i like this collection, it's different from anything else i've seen so far. well this season i mean.

Anonymous liz h said ... (2:36 PM) :

these clothes make even incredibly thin women look large and shapeless. don't like at all

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:42 PM) :

A big NO!

Anonymous marcel said ... (6:26 PM) :

I LOVED it!! The Mondrian dress is iconic and she rejuvenated it . There was a 60ies vibe but in a very modern approach.
10.000 better than her last collection, which was a total FLOP.

Anonymous Sieraaa said ... (6:39 PM) :

I have to agree with some of the other comments in that I don't particularly think this was a strong collection from Prada. Although I love playing with body shapes, the cut of the jackets along with the belts would look quite terrible on a woman of average size. However, the shots are lovely as always!

Blogger jon said ... (9:50 PM) :

Hold on here can we agree the boots do not go with the outfits. If that is there intention so be it but lets no pretend the boots work with the clothes.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:05 PM) :

Despite the always great photography, I'd have to give the clothes a big fat "blech." The models look 20 lbs. heavier than I know they really are. I cringe to think how us "real girls" would look in these frocks.

I do like the boots, though.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:15 AM) :

All I see is knees. There's clothes there also?

Anonymous Mama'sBoy said ... (3:05 AM) :

First off--kudos to the photographer, excellent work.
I don't follow all this stuff as closely as I used to, which perhaps make my opinions noteworthy or maybe just ill-advised, but this collection is just awful to me. Not to mention some of the models look like death warmed over. The ensembles that are original are frumpy, incoherent and unflattering, looks like she did them in her sleep. The looks that differ from the clear formula here just remind me 1996 Todd Oldham (nothing wrong with that, but...seriously?). The footwear is pretty hot tho.

Blogger Miss Tongue said ... (3:08 AM) :

It's odd with the semi-belts so low, the fake snakeskin trench coats just look cheap and ugly and some patterns there are just not beautiful, there's something off. Shame.
This Prada collection isn't as appelaing as the Spring/Summer 11 one, which I adored!

Anonymous Miss Tongue said ... (3:17 AM) :

It's so ugly with the belts so low and it clashes with teh aptterns of the coats. Also the snakeskin plastic trenchcoats look ugly and cheap. What a shame. I really adored teh Spring/summer 2011 colection, but here they've really gone over the top, to ugliness.

Blogger Eva said ... (5:30 AM) :

Me ha encantado la coleccion, y los zapatos-calcetin-bota son simplementes adorables.
Un beso

Blogger Underground Ladies said ... (6:22 AM) :

Amazing Make up ! And the 70's inspiration, so cool !
I love the colors, the fabric look great ! I can't stand for Paris Fashion Week Pictures !

Those boots are the real story for me :) http://engreidadesigns.blogspot.com/

Anonymous rhymeswithcrow said ... (10:20 AM) :

can't stop looking at those fish scales

Anonymous Maryanne said ... (5:50 PM) :

the large pailette lime,orange-gold dress with those electric blue suede boots made me say wow.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:33 PM) :

This may have been stated previously, but the devil definitely does wear prada.

Anonymous Anna said ... (12:45 AM) :

These manage to make stick-thin glamorous models look boxy and dowdy. Does not work for me at all.

Blogger 82Brute said ... (7:51 AM) :

This look isn't working at all for me. The snake skin boots are not complimenting the dresses at all and are very unflattering on the leg.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:09 AM) :

I agree, at least in part with Anonymous 4:09 pm. I thought the coat/dresses and the footwear separately were gorgeous, but I was stunned to see how ugly the combinations made the models look.

Anonymous proletarian Great Gatsby said ... (10:22 AM) :

I love it because my sister did wear dress like those when she was 3 or 4 years old.She was so cute.

Blogger Unknown said ... (2:12 PM) :

interesting to read the negative posts. i think this is quite striking and original - typical prada.

Anonymous The Socialite Design said ... (7:49 PM) :

Oh my, I'm digging this vintage look. The boots are SICK!!!

Anonymous prettystuffrules.blogspot.com said ... (1:30 AM) :

When I grow up, I'm gonna wear Prada.
Funky, but serious at the same time. Truly for the woman who knows herself.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:02 AM) :

Loving the fur - it's great that the fashion worl openly in love with such a enduringly sensuous and wonderfully hand crafted material.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:14 PM) :

I could say its the shock of the new that makes me not like these proportions but there is nothing new about this. Prada relies on the past too much for my taste. I like the color palette.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:44 PM) :

The green/brown "scale" dress with the blue boots is hands down the coolest outfit I've seen in a long time. I love the mix of colours and textures. Better yet, it's so unique I'll bet some people wouldn't even consider wearing it.

Blogger BADINICREATEAM said ... (6:55 PM) :

i don't know why but i breath an air of Edie Sedgwick in this collection and i like it, of course projected in to the future...great prints!

Blogger Hilary said ... (4:13 AM) :

Minus the boots and snake skin pimp coats, this looks like Marni meets Ports 1961... and not in a good way. I hate this collection lol sorry to say, and Prada usually does me good. The photos are really amazing though.

Ports 1961 2008 FW + Marni SS 2011 + other random Marni pieces.

Anonymous ak said ... (11:20 PM) :

I love the navy coat with the fur on it the most as well as the light blue suede and snakeskin boots and the beige and black suede boots.

Blogger Unknown said ... (9:03 PM) :

oooooo boots to die for!

Anonymous manchester escorts said ... (10:09 PM) :

May I say, I just love your blog! I have said it before, but I will keep saying it! Oh and all the boots are AMAZING!
