Oh, what a fun juxtaposition to yesterday's shot on West 14th. I love her timelessly ladylike accessories and her "done-ness". Both women have incredible personal style, going in totally different directions, which just goes to show the power of fashion in the expression of individualism.

Anonymous Violet Day said ... (3:51 PM) :

Naomi dressed around the hat and handbag - they were the first choices she made when choosing the outfit for her lunch with the girls. The fur, the dress and the tights and shoes - all great - but it was the hat and the handbag that really made her smile.

And she knew her friends would feel the same.

Anonymous princessglee said ... (9:10 PM) :

Well, yes and no. I like how her proportions are so exaggerated that she almost looks like a fashion illustration; tiny head, super long limbs and a big puff of a jacket. The wild color mix is great too. The jacket fur just isn't my favorite.

Dear Sartorialist, I know you don't publish anti fur comments often, but I see you did publish the comment of one other reader and let me add my voice to that. It's sad to see that fur is becoming acceptable again through the influence of a few celebrities and perhaps some blogs.

She really has that look of having stepped right out of the 1950's. Her face has the look, the hat, fur and handbag complete the look. Of course, in the '50's her dress would be a mini-print in a soft fabric with pearl buttons and the shoes would be different. But all in all - very vintage.

I should know..... I was there!
