Great photo, love the handkerchief in the pocket.

I love the selective focusing in this shot. The little scarf in the front pocket looks great!
You captured a great moment there again Scott,
thanks for sharing :)
Perfect bowler hat.
Because it must be said, humina.
Looks like a movie still, you've captured the warmth of the cafe atmosphere masterfully. The handkerchief in the coat pocket!
great shot! he looks like such a cool guy :)
what a great look. Love the jacket and the hankie detail..! He's concentrating hard on something..

loving the pocket hanky, giving the look some detail and quirkiness
this is perfect.
boys are cute, but with a cup of coffee are just sweet...
you caught the right moment in that cafe :)
This man has perfect facial hair. I love his turned up collar

J'aime beaucoup le petit foulard dans la poche de la veste marron et le chapeau !
Very chic, the macaroons in the foreground look gorgeous too!

Handsome! Love his hat, coat and pocket scarf. Is he single?
What an italian elegance, with the hat, really love.

Love how a pocket square can add instant class to an outfit!
Bubbs...

Yes, I want to sit down to have a coffee and chat with this man. His hat looks ever so slightly feminine but the rest of his outfit balances it. And, I don't typically like turtlenecks on men but he wears it so nicely. Elegant and masculine. And the tattoo on his wrist...
My perfect man...
Love the coat!

Love the handkerchief. Great detail!

A true gentleman takes his hat off when he is indoors.
He is very good looking, and his style is lovely!

Interesting photo!
Nice Coat! I wish I was in a cafe in Milan:(
Has anybody noticed the "previous" tatoo on the inside of his wrist? Gives a kink -
Every hat serves a purpose. Its purpose ceases when you step inside.
Great pocket detail. He looks like Russell Brand.
http://basiikblog.blogspot.com
my own prejudice I admit, but are you a neatlty tailored kleen guy or a scruffy Grateful Dead guy? I know, I know some say you can be both but for me the contradiction is too strong. Boys under twelve can pull it off because we know their moms made them dress up.
Cool guy!
Marc.

Quite a few camel coats photographed this winter,I like the pocket scarf in this one as it adds a touch of color
I love this! It's so well-photographed!
I love guys in turtleneck sweaters, and I love this jacket. I love the details, like the cut of the lapel and the popped collar, and the front pocket. The blue and white of the handkerchief contrasts nicely against the neutrals he's wearing. Love the hat, too! Is it a fedora with the brim turned up?
His facial hair is perfectly trimmed, too. Not out-of-control.
Love it!
Could be Montrealer..
Love his hat and how he is wearing it
he kinda looks like russel brand at first glance...lol
Very nice, in many ways.
ivestiti.blogspot.com
beautiful; he looks very handsome. he looks very well put together, without trying. i doubt he really did try...which is the beauty behind any great look. naturally done. A bearded, dark haired man in a great hat/coat with a kerchief? Who can resist?
Love this photo!
http://breadandbutterdesigns.blogspot.com/
cool hat...great lighting
coffee and buns never looked so yummy :D
How a man should be! really chic and handsome..love the handkerchief.
jack black look alike!
digging the hat and coat.
well balanced!

love the hat♥, nice photo (:

A very nice look and warm too. His beard is shaped nicely, like it!
what a nice guy, has an interesting face
love this image, so dapper yet with a sense of surprise!

marry me.
He's adorable!
I really need to get to Milan...
This gentleman reminds me of Jeremy Davies (Saving Private Ryan; LOST). Both are very handsome.
http://two-and-twenty.blogspot.com/
He is, absolutely handsome. Love his little paisley handkerchief.

Hmmmmm.....Gotta's try the Pocket Square in the Overcoat trick sometime.....:-)

Great photograph, portrait quality. I love the hat, the coat, and especially the traditional "cowboy" handkerchief folded into the pocket. Great look, very sexy. I'm thinking Italian tonight. Love the softened foreground with all the color and the intensely dark young man behind. Fantastic!
HELLO COME TO MAMA! ;-)
hummm
this is a great photo. i love his hat.
xx
www.dragonnfruit.com
Even though everything he's wearing is very classical, it's so well matched that it looks modern, chic and different on him…
Grat pic!
such a sucker for some scruff! and I am loving hats like that gor guys and girls!
The handkerchief is amazing, and I love his hat.
Love the hat. And of course, gotta love a guy who's not afraid to hang out in a pastry shop!
He looks a little like Russell Brand.
What fabric is that coat? Don't think I've seen that for sale here on the USofA.. a rumpled, easygoing elegance.
love the handkerchief

cafe's in milan have to be just amazing! what a great shot but where is the dolci?? :)
http://www.nycstylelittlecannoli.com/
The outfit is so casual yet put together - perfect for this afternoon (?) setting. I especially like the detail of the pocket bandana, and the hat is a good choice for this man. However, since when is it polite to leave a hat on at a restaurant/café, while drinking/eating? Maybe the rules are different in Italy, maybe it's time to re-define them.
I like this photo. And such an interesting looking man. I bet everyone is wondering who he is. ;)
He looks like a Manet painting. The hat, the intense gaze, the facial hair...it's so wonderful!
so refreshing to know that there are still men who dress like this in the 21st century.
Beautiful Photos! The expression this man is potraying allows the viewer the ability to describe the scene is so many different ways! What is he thinking about? Who is he looking at? Is he scared...happy?
A+ on the photographs!
Your hat come off indoors. Especially while dining.
i am lovin' this photo very much!
An intellectual at his best. Or at least the photo tells a great story only to be found in a romance novel.
www.greeneggsandglam.blogspot.com
what a handsome man!
Very nice in just about every way, barring my usual rant about the importance of good pressing. His coat lapels need a little work. But heck, I'd sit down with him and spend the afternoon going through that pastry selection.
style perfection!
http://missmollyfashions.blogspot.com/
He looks so good!
I love it. He is my boy
I hope he sees my big scarf and fall in love with me!
love the hat
I love the comfort and function that he exudes along with elegance - serious style here.
what a deliciously sexy man.
WHat a beautiful man !.....
Gooooodness gracious.
And I'd love to know what he's looking at/listening to.
Nice look, but not for indoors: when you sit down inside, take off your coat and especially your hat!
great pic scott
there's lovely. good pic.congrats Lots of trilbies in Pitti Uomo. but he's not wearing a bowler hat.
splendid!
Love the portrait shot Scott.
Im coming to NYFW and would like to meet and take a quick snap.
If i see you, I will come and say Hello
lee x
I like the coat with square pocket.
But a gentlemen NEVER stays inside with the hat on, and NEVER when eating or drinking.
It is not just what you wear, but how do you wear it!!
Nice shot, love the depth of field.
The handkerchief really adds some nice contrast to this otherwise very brown look!
I think think might be my favourite photo of yours... the expression is amazing
i think i fell in love with him
cool hat
He's beautiful..
Marry me? xx
I love this look - its refreshing to see men dress like this.
I lvoe the Etro pochettte ;)
http://fashiondoesntexist.blogspot.com/
Is all about the right accesories. Effortlessly cool!
He is as yummy as is expresso.....
what is it about Italian men?
THAT'S A VERY RETRO-MODERN IMAGE!
I really appreciate your post and you explain each and every point very well. Thanks for sharing this information. And I’ll love to read your next post too.
Great photo! great look.
http://tarasdolcevita.blogspot.com/
i'm digging the whole look. effortless. everything just falls into place, facial hair and curly locks included. wish the weather here in the philippines would allow me to sport a coat like that.
Great picture!

Gorgeous! ~ xoxo
My goodness. Style aside, he is stirring up some hormones! *Humina* is RIGHT!
Handsomeness.
Fantastic... classic mix with some individualism....
The handkerchief is a perfect touch. It's all about attention to detail.
incredibly handsome. love bearded men... and with a carefree, yet tailored style? even better. he can hold his own among sugar cookies and jasmine tea. so masculine in the best sense of the word! ;)
like the contrast in textures: camel wool coat and silk paisley pocket square...wow, he could be Ashton Kutcher's twin:)
i could easily fall in love with
nice. The scarf in the pocket surprised me a bit, it's neat little detail. I like his cozy coat too :) Stylish dude.
The essence of candid. There is concentration without pose and momentum to the action even in the freeze of the photo. The pocket kerchief is a winner. Separates the sheep from the goats!
He has such a pretty face especially his perfect eyebrows :) I feel like marrying him right this minute.
love the details of this outfit!
ahhh this shot makes me want some tea!
Great winter combination with an outstandingly great hat
Love the hat and the paisley pocket handkerchief. Great effortlessly look!
good
Looks a bit like Ashton Kutcher, no?
Nice scruff.
I love his hat.
the kerchief is the offset
He looks very dapper but am I too old in thinking a gentleman takes his hat off when seated inside? If he is a a counter, I understand, but I dislike men in hat indoors. What is the latest thinking on men's hat, Mr. Schulman?
awesome
i love this relaxed but yet stylish look - the handkerchief oh the handkershief !
I've been living in Italian for 2 years now and have only used Milan as a stop over on my way to France, but I will soon be spending a few days there! If there was ever a place to find info on the 'what's-what' of Milano it would be here! Question A. Where is this cafe, should I go? Ques. B. The fun shopping is where!?
Come on...no need to get og the hat and coat, he is just probably enjoying a quick, dark and short but intense italian espresso before going bakc to whatever he is doing (not a half-gallon Starbucks coffee you need an hour to drink...)P ;)
Great photo!!
http://team-foodies.blogspot.com/
Darlings. It's Italy. He is standing at a counter having a quick coffee. No need to remove the hat in such circumstances. It's as good as being "outdoors".
Plus, he's adorable, and stop picking on him!
I think this photo is perfect. Your skills as a portraitist are amazing. He looks perfectly natural and yet, elegant. It's hard to believe you got him mid-sip yet it is so composed as a photo. Bravo.
It's all about the hat and pocket square.
I was taught that it is lack of manors a man to use a hat while inside a place or eating.
Anyway congratulations for a wonderful blog.
swoon... there is something artistic emanating from his look. indeed suggests an interesting character who would have lots to say about - and way beyond - fashion. bene!
oh yes, my apologies - fantastic photograph, Mr. Schuman. i forgot to mention that in my last post, but that is the true mark of a great photograph, no? you lose yourself in the photograph and your imagination moves right into the moment. that said, props to the photographer and his stories!
very refined jack black with manners.
he is such a gentlman ;)
http://sheisfashionholic.blogspot.com/
Am I the only one who thought for a second that this was Jack Black?
Chic yes, but a gentleman removes his hat indoors.....so it's contrived....
I love the beard and the the hair and the hat... He looks just a tiny bit as a bum but there's no chance mistaking him.
I would totally wear this look.
Love the coat! And I love the moment you captured...the cup almost touching his lips...anticipation frozen in an image.
Oooh la la!! Handsome handsome handsome man!!! xo
I think I've fallen in love.
I think the parisian atmosphere of cosy cafes flanked by tiers of cupcakes and BEATIFUL men is great!
xxx
oh my god i'm just fond of hiiiiiim!
Nina
Gentlemen, please, take off your hats when you go indoors (even if the hat is sooo cool) and your coats when you sit at a table. I think this is also part of being cool.
Aubrey McCoy, the photographer? Brilliant shot.
Is it just me or does he kinda look like a more refined version of Russell Brand?
va va voom
His name is Lukas Haas, he's an American actor (Inception, Witness) and one of my personal hearthrobs for years and years. Good to see he's got some flare of his own!
What is with you people and this stiff-lipped "indoor" manners you speak of? Rules are made to be broken. Think outside the box.
