Beautiful photograph of an elegant gentleman. Love. -Angela

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:37 PM) :

Love the long scarf...And this gentleman is very stylish. Again, it looks like his overcoat is just big enough to accommodate his suit. Love the black and white, Scott; the crispness of the white shirt against the different shades of black and gray is so chic.

Anonymous Helen said ... (5:38 PM) :

I really like this portrait, the way the breeze has just caught the scarf and lifted it gently, the sideways look under the brim of a favourite hat. lovely, thank you.

Blogger Unknown said ... (5:58 PM) :

I love his scarf :D

Anonymous Dinhilion said ... (6:13 PM) :

Perfect- One of the best looks I have seen on here.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:26 PM) :

the man underneath says more than the hat, scarf, tie pants, coat.he is too complex than that!

Blogger CW said ... (6:40 PM) :

I would have liked the photo in color.

If this gent's scarf were longer, he would need a tardis.

Anonymous Sophie Mhabille said ... (6:45 PM) :

look serious

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:57 PM) :

Your last 6 images have plaid! :) I see a trend happening.....

Blogger street number eight said ... (7:51 PM) :

for a second, i thought that was an old pic of gianni versace! wow, do european men know how to dress.

how do we bring that stateside? i've been blogging about men wearing cropped pants, and how i wish more guys in the US did that! agree with me?

Blogger Semi Expat said ... (8:01 PM) :

A bit scrummy. Love him and his scarf.

Blogger Kristen said ... (8:09 PM) :

Wow, I can't handle so much suave in one picture. This is fantastic! The skinny collar on the shirt with the skinny tie! The three-piece suit! The overcoat! The hat! The askance gaze! And that amazing scarf!

It does seem like when men wear scarves, they wear them short. This looks so fantastic though! I absolutely love it! It makes such a great visual line!

Anonymous Ana López Jiménez said ... (8:11 PM) :

This is so vintage and beautifully modern at the same time.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:53 PM) :

the collar and tie are the most interesting parts to me. they're so long at the opening/knot. but yeah, nice scarf too.

Anonymous jdit said ... (8:54 PM) :

Many years ago, in Montreal, I watched a man stroll down a street with a long scarf cavalierly thrown around his neck. It caught the sharp breeze and floated behind him held just so, on the wind, as he moved away from me. I was bewitched and felt then that only in Montreal could there be such magic in the air that gently holds a scarf on the wind.

Any attempts by me to do the same result in having the free ends of the scarf flying directly into my face or becoming an unfortunately tangled and embarrassingly style free mess...

These scarf pictures are beautiful and make me want to be as able to sport them and then jealous all at the same time.

Blogger anne said ... (9:28 PM) :

the man is more intriguing than his scarf

Blogger Mathew Crane said ... (10:29 PM) :

Gorgeous coat, gorgeous scarf!

Blogger Amy B. said ... (10:48 PM) :

It makes me wish I was an older gent living in Paris.

Blogger Gretta said ... (11:16 PM) :

He has that look on his face that says "I know something" (but, in Italian). That "something" is: long scarves are fantastic!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:16 PM) :

great photography! i love the feeling that this portrays.
his eyes at this moment is just so mysterious, you wonder what he's looking at.
my fav is his hat and scarf.

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:31 PM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:39 AM) :

I think it's the hat that takes this to the next level, although it's a very stylish scarf.

Anonymous Lucian E. said ... (6:43 AM) :

Maybe too long... :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:56 AM) :

I have seen this man many times in Paris. Believe me when I say, his style never changes and he never fails to amaze me on how "perfect" he puts it together.

What is best is that he owns his look.........he owns his style..........he copies no one...........the man is made to measure.......from head to toe.

Wonder what his wife looks like?

Blogger Vision of a Dreamer said ... (7:08 AM) :

BEAUTIFUL PIC
SO COOL!

Blogger 82Brute said ... (7:58 AM) :

Really exciting. Could be a frame from a movie. Could be a surveillance photo. Could be 50 years ago, could be now. He looks like he's up to something slightly nefarious, or perhaps he's following someone nefarious or maybe he's just checking out a woman. Very intriguing. The scarf adds momentum. Black and white makes this a perfect photograph.

Blogger sophia81 said ... (8:04 AM) :

i think his wife did a good jod with his closet!xi!xi!

Blogger Ms Wanda said ... (8:08 AM) :

Blogger janfaw said ... (9:15 AM) :

American men take note! When it's not minus 20, remove the parka and show some style!

Blogger chiara said ... (9:40 AM) :

adorable!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:46 AM) :

he's deep in thought....again its about so much more than fashion. Who cares about scarf lengths when you have the sunlight, the movement. lovely shot, well done scott xx

Blogger Contact said ... (10:22 AM) :

i particularly enjoy the long scarf!

http://heelsandinspiration.blogspot.com

Blogger alexalmendrades said ... (10:42 AM) :

As a tall/chubby dude, it's hard to find nice long scarves that won't look too much like Chris Farley a-la fat-guy-in-a-little-coat.

Aa!

Blogger Judyofthefort said ... (12:04 PM) :

I have seen this man many times in Paris myself. Yes, he is, and should be one of your regulars. Just shows you know good style EVERY TIME you see it. Love everything about his style. I too wonder what his wife looks like. She has got to be incredible.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:55 PM) :

Anonymous proletarian Great Gatsby said ... (1:49 PM) :

I always loved long scarfs since i was a child. When i was a teenager i used to wear a very long scarf with two other people at the same time.It wasn't easy to walk but funny.

Blogger anthony said ... (2:33 PM) :

That's a lovely collar. It's fascinating that he can fit a tie in that sliver of space. The prow of his hat rides beautifully above his nose.

So incredibly handsome.

Anonymous princessglee said ... (8:41 PM) :

I love everything about this man's elegant and updated classic style...except that collar. It's too pointy and men with a heavy-handed style seem to wear them.

Anonymous Maryanne said ... (9:27 PM) :

love the length of the scarf.

very attractive B&W composition.

Blogger Maria Galvão de Sousa said ... (9:09 AM) :

EPIC!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:07 PM) :

I love this photo, it seems timeless. His fashion sense rivals Fred Astaire's. When men take the time to look this good, then women are going to swoon. Goes to show what a little care in male attire can do.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:55 AM) :

Anonymous Brice LEFRANC said ... (4:25 PM) :

Je connais cet homme : il a ouvert il y a trente ans la boutique "Delaunay" à Saint-Germain des près. Je porte encore des vestes taillées par lui il y a plus de 20 ans ! Élégance britannique, tissus italiens...

Anonymous Mank said ... (4:03 PM) :

I love that shirt collar! So hard to find these days, at least in this country...but so elegant.
