M'mmm ground breaking !..more trousers
Chic and warm.
So pretty. The jacket is my favorite part of the outfit.
Nice looking cape. I like both the color and the fit. The arms seem to be in the right place...and this is not so with all capes. Some can look very akward.
Beautiful!

Love that color with her hair and skin, love the fall of her trousers, love the way she wears her scarf. This muted, effortless, timeless style is what I aspire to.
Oh, yes, utter bagginess!
the colors--from her hair to the black scarf to the coat work so well.
Beautiful aubergine coat-cape. Love the addition of red lipstick. Great catch.
she has such a great style! classic yet not too conventional.

http://mystreetoutfit.blogspot.com
The colour & texture of that cape are absolutely luverly.

A very nice look and warm too. I especially like the arm sleeves to help carry stuff with ease just like she's doing.
Those clothes are nice but it's she who gives them style.
The color of her hair with that coat (and lips!) is just exquisite!
Supper fetch! love the coat.

I love the color of the cape, that sort of purply with the grey trousers. I can't get over the trousers, with the wide stripes, I haven't seen anything like them.

Looks like a prime ballerina going food shopping! Nice colors.
Her coat is fantastic. I really like the way she holds her black gloves.
relaxed cosy comfortable look and a welcome relief from the accessories overload of the past decade.
Loving the layering. Could have veered to gipsy, but no, it is so right and effortless.

I love it when you capture stunning street casual!
I love the way you take a simple moment in time and make it extraordinary.
perfect homeless style!
kisses from Spain ;D
The jacket brings this all together. Otherwise it would be one big swath of brown.
Loving those deep colors!
Crazy, I seen her in a fabric shop in London last week, she had those trousers on then, very quirky, very cool.
She looks so chic yet so comfy and warm! Love the colour of her hair with the bold black and then the deep purple. Amazing picture, as always!
www.styleisalwaysfashionable.blogspot.com
This image was just the boost I needed this morning, when greyness of mood and sky is making it hard to feel motivated. You captured her in a way that's both serene and vibrant. A great selection, thank you.
I love this look. Follow me too.

What a great coat/cape!!! The volume is fantastic, it doesn't swallow her up. That scarf looks so warm. It is far too cold in New York right now.

Hi Mr.Scott,
I'm from Portugal and I'm 17 (soon to be 18 :) ) and I heard about you at my friend's Vogue Portugal last Summer. Since then, I've literaly been addicted to your blog and let me just say... You are such an inspiration to me because this blog makes me dream about clothes and fashion... It's such a big passion that I have and it's wonderfull to just turn on the computer and get inspired by the amazing things that you show us through your pictures.
I've also noticed that you have been putting more photos, which gives me even more excitment to visit you blog.
You probably won't get to read this, but I've written this so many times, that today just had to be the day.
I'm sorry for any incorrection in my writting and please continue doing the best blog ever.
Love this look, great details! Love the lipstick!
How can a paper bag look so stylish? Could it be the Jil Sander effect (or does that only apply to plastic bags)?
Quelle classe !!!
Nice pic and beautiful outfit.
I invite you to visit my blog Fashion Everywhere.
I'm from Lima, Perú.
Best regards,
Ana López

Fabulous coat / scarf.
http://izzenxoxo.blogspot.com/
A beautiful collection of sumptuous colours on hair, lips, coat and trousers. Two of my favourite looks on women are flannels and lipstick and she wears them well.
Simply gorgeous.
Much love,
B
Great colours and shapes and not a trench coat in sight!

http://www.informalthing.blogspot.com
After a morning of window shopping, the lunch ingredients in her bag are bread, wine, cheese and fresh fruit to share with her friend...only a friend for now..but she knows that will change today. She looks great, feels great and the purple cape has gotten her lots of compliments today...her confidence is up and she is ready for lunch and what comes after....
http://violetsdayblog.blogspot.com
Do they teach cool scarf formation in Parisian public schools? No American would ever be able to create that.
www.jrocomedy.blogspot.com
nice nose.
Such an amazing photo!
Her name is Benedicte Holmboe and she studies menswear design at Royal College of Art in London. She made the cape and trousers.
She is so beautiful

Comfortable yet sophisticated.
The girl looks so beautiful and delicate. Her red lippie makes her look even more pretty. And the cape is just gorgeous and the colour so rich! And I love the fact that she has cuffs on her pants. Her dishevelled hair complete the whole look. Really beautiful picture.

Stunning! Casual and elegant - not always easy to achieve in one look but she has nailed it. Love the proportions. Everything seems in balance and it all looks so effortless.
I love this. It is how I love to dress in winter. Slightly baggy with a loose coat.
Her coat is fab. The colour!
Here in Toronto (I have complained before) one could never find a coat like this.
gorgeous colors
http://andthespidersfrommars.blogspot.com/
gorgeous & amazing.
great proportions!
my goodness! she is straight out of a 19th century Daguerreotype; a serene, rare beauty and manner. brilliant! is she made of marble or butter?
her look is amazing. Such a great style & confortable. The proportions are perfect. I love to wear extra large pants
http://www.wearaddiction.etsy.com
Great style, it looks casual and stylish!
rockin' trousers!
She looks very fragile, but I love her lipstick.www.copperetiquette.wordpress.com
That`s what I call a real norwegian beuty!!
i am desperate to find out of these huge scarves.
Poetic!
really interesting. original and fresh and "old goodie" at the same time.
I absolutely love everything about how she's pulled this outfit together. What a great find.
I'm thrilled to think she made the pants and cape herself. The clothing I see in shops is very hard to do at home. For one thing you can't buy the fabrics and the level of finish is never the same but this gives me inspiration to think about sewing again. Thanks.
Pre-raphaelite muse or botticelli venus.....wrapped in the subtle grace of a breeze and a dark cloak.
Thank you, sartorialist, for finding uncommon beauty and style on the ordinary streets of mid-winter. Your taste is right-on.
I love her layering with different styles - and how she finishes it off with plum lipstick!

Ahhhh thats Benedicte Holmboe... norwegian girl.. so sweet and so smart!:)
Love the oversized look, but still really delicate and feminine. The hair are gorgeous
so elegant and effortlessly chic...
