I love The Sartorialist as much as I love reading The Times. The combination of the two are like peanut butter and jelly for a child.

The Project Zen
Hey Scott, just listened to your NYT Lens voiceover and looked at the images sitting in a very 'stiff' office in the middle of Melbourne and I was transported by your voice, words and the images. What a great idea/combination. It was like I stepped out to a gallery for a few minutes (at my desk) and was in the middle of some kind of art installation. It'd be great to hear your voice on your blog, in this way, from time to time to. More please. Thanks, Sharon.
love her shoes

Now that's a rare shoe on a laydeee..show's she know's her stuff! Any girl in a burgundy loafer turns my head. Bass Weejun or Sebago penny loafers all the way! Sweet, great pic, next one a gent please!

The slide show with your comments is great. You are very eloquent and INSPIRING!!
Congrats!...amazing shot
I really like this one, simple, elegant and modern without loosing any class.
And an Eiffel tower is never wrong as an accessoire!
It feels as if I had seen this picture before. Very nice nonetheless. Reminiscent of Françoise Hardy's scopitone for Tous les Garçons et les Filles ; or Carla Bruni's videoclip for one of her English songs...

I just listened to your interview and really liked your approach to your kind of street photography. Very honest and true to what we see on your blog. Thanks for continuing to inspire!

Does anyone know what bag this is?
Love this photo, Sart! Very sexy.
She inspires romanticifical feelings. I would love to invite her to tea.
Of course she is also delicious-looking because of the tassel loafers.
Tassel loafers on a woman are incredibly sexy, if you get my meaning.
Thumbs Up!!!
Fantastic look! Very sophisticated and strong, yet feminine.
Great!

This is such a fantastic shot. I have that bag, but sadly not in "newsprint" ( I tried & tried and couldn't find it anywhere... went with olive, which is lovely in it's own right)
That is such a fantastic photo. The girl, the background, it's all wonderful

one of the most elegant wear!
I just leaned about this blog and when I saw this photo I thought that all the photos were like fashion shots that are planned out first cos this is so perfect :) When I learned that this blog was about people on the street in daily life I loved this photo 100% more.
What a wonderful write up and your comments during the slide show are so beautifully and simply stated.
I love that sense of romance and hope, as you say.
Congrats on the feature!
this is perfect. the seine makes one focus on the girl's silhouette. the mix of shoulder pads on such a fragile frame. beautiful.
Love this shot, so pretty.

Perfect!
As a flats-only woman, I love her comfortable shoes. www.roz-writes.com
love love and love this pic!
Lala
The high cuff of her trouser would lend it's aesthetic benefits greater to someone not endowed with such Herculean ankles.
Even on a manly pose she looks so much woman.
Awesome photo effect. She looks great.
http://vaenell.blogspot.com/
She sort of looks like she's in pain. I loooove her bag. too bad I'm poor :(
Ciao
This is fabulous. I love the cropped pants and the blazer, and the grey purse is a great touch.
Scott,
Your blog has such a refreshing integrity, always staying true to, like you've said, your reactions to what you see. I'm glad you share those reactions with your readers! This is somehow so 2006 paris, the all black, the cropped hair. Is their an epidemic of French women chopping their locks? Regardless, thank you for the beautiful photographs (beautiful moments around the world)!
how come this photos was posted twice? i remember seeing this one from a while back. just wondering.
-curioussartorialistfan
aside from the cigarette in her hand, the look is wonderful, enough yin and yang
mmm...I make collagues...You have a blog...but our point of view is the same!
nice..congrats!
kla
simple and good. love the haircut
http://girlsandqueens.blogspot.com/
I love the simplicity of this look. Who wants to distract from that background? This is the kind of woman I would expect to see hanging around the streets of Paris- very classy. She probably has everything she needs for the day in her black satchel purse .
shes wearing mens shoes!
her look so masculine is radical!
she's just a visualization of paris' simple chic
Great shot. I'd like to meet her one day.
Simply delightful hairstyle.
love that short hair... the cigarette and position of her legs... doesn't need the Tour on the back to scream Paris !
omg I share same style as this woman (but she is thinner & prettier of course!). Loveee...
