This is a very nice shoot of him :)

The purple looks fantastic. It's a great color for grey haired, older people (no offense intended, of course).
My parents wear a lot of purple and it makes them look vibrant and young, like this gentleman.
awesome.
Great scarf color for an old man!!!
Do the difference...
Hugs from Chile
Ageless style. The crutch humanizes the photo. A poignant piece that brings a smile to my face.
I LIKE THAT PURPLE SCARF,
Dapper! I've worn a similar color composition, however I chose purple slip-on shoes.
rebelchivalry.blogspot.com
yes a gentleman. his jacket, scarf, pocket square and watch are all just right. also, his hair has such a nice cut and is barely askew..
I love the purple scarf. It brings out his dark eyes and makes the grey in his hair look classy, not ageing.
One question? Why did you leave the walking stick in the picture?
Love your work. Inspires me daily. xxx
Purple, hunter orange, plaid. How wonderfully UNinhibited!
Some older folks have such great style, I would absolutely wear that. Also, I'm really loving tyrian purple these days, such a historically flush color.
:)
Wonderful style regardless of age. Very inspiring!
Good color palette: Violet, Camel, Mint and Heather Gray. And beautiful smile :)
Wellcome. We have been waiting for you,for a long time.
Enjoy yourself and come back soon.
he is such a nice looking grand dad =)) adorable
all these mix of aristocratic colors http://trivialinsanity-n.blogspot.com/
Love the smile and the purple :)

Love the colors - just gorgeous!
so elegant...
Sweet! And cool!
I wish I will be as elegant and smart looking when reaching his age. A combination with colour is so important. Wonderful to not just look at the young and model types! Thank you!

Tranquility and wisdom emerge from the picture. I love.
love the pop of the purple scarf against the other colors!

I think he looks kind and very dapper. I wish he were related to me, so that I could visit and find out what he was thinking.
Wonderful pops of color!

Beautiful photography!
Congratulations I liked it, I will start to follow!
Love the texture of the pants and the exposed watch
This is an unexpectedly lovely combination! Such a great expression and the scarf reminds me of my grandpa. Grandpas know the best way to wrap a scarf to keep the cold out. :)
love his violet scarf, he is a very elegant man!!!
http://clickonstyles.blogspot.com/
Style is ageless.
Have to agree with Tiger!
www.stonkalatho.blogspot.com
I'm loving the pop of orange to contrast with his scarf. He definitely has a great style!
That's what is called style. Is not just what he wears but how he wears it.
From Young To Old, Madrid seems to be a nirvanna for you! Don't ever leave:P
I love that purple scarf so much on him, very classy!
www.FashionSnag.com
Note how similar he looks to the young boy in the earlier picture. Same "type" for sure. Great juxtaposition.
Accessories totally rock! You can transform any plain wardrobe with the right accessories.
I love designing accessories in leather, like leather waist wrapping ribbons...with yards of leather ribbon , so they can be tied on in many different ways, adding different looks with the same accessory.
I've taken belts and wrapped them on as funky harnesses, layered neck ruffs and bandoliers.
I love his purple scarf & red pocket decor.....it makes his classic wool pop and looks so nice with his hair!
Wonderful quality photo, too!
Thanks for the pictures!
Envive!
i hope i look this cool when i get to this age...
so rad!
http://jimjims.net
What a lovely man, I love his sense of bold color. You really captured his warm smile - it's a wonderful portrait. One of your best!
purple scarf, red hanky, aqua thread running through the jacket and camel pants YUM!!! fantastic color what a legend he is!
The pop of color peeking out from his breast pocket is to die for! And I have a scarf in the exact same color:)
one of the main things I miss about traveling away from America is unabashed way people - even guys - wear vibrant colors - most everything here stateside is so monochromatic
Gorgeous!
I have just fallen head over heels in love. The plaid jacket and red pocket square sealed the deal.
So elegant...and if you notice, he's got a cane...yet he is clearly not letting it affect his choice of pocket hanky or scarf. Wonderful.
www.gettinghomedesign.com
gray hair, purple scarf, check pattern of jacket and brooch in his pocket... combanation is
so cool and chic. I love them all.
He's so stylish in his age :D
This is one of my very favorite photos you have shared with us. What class.
Thank you
Kylan H
you are a genius!
expressing love of life through the vibrancy of colour.
What a cute older gentleman. I love his colour combination.

Grandpa looking gr8t
Absolutely love this! The bright pops of color really make the outfit.
this is beautiful
This man looks fantastic.
Also, thanks for going to Madrid. Spaniards are pretty stylish, and it's nice to see photos from a place that's not NYC, Milan, or Paris.
I certainly hope I'm that put together at that age.
Great scarf; great photo.
elegante! You can just tell that all of his life, he woke up every day and put together a perfect outfit with ease because of his innate sense of style, color beauty, fit...just like today. People, getting old is not a crime! It's a gift, and not for sissies. Innate style does not fade, it just gets more confident!
People such as this gentleman never copied anyone, they just "are" style. They are who the Ralph Laurens of design have looked to for classic inspiritation.. with sparkle.
In the witty words of a commentator about one of our fav "bicycle" men in Milano..."Scot,maybe next time try make friends with him"!:-) Would love to know about this gentleman's life. Elegance and confidence like this guarantee a fascinating story!
so appreciate age ranges, sizes Scott..adds such interst! He would have been beautiful for your exciting OVS/Rome ad...along with Adorable senor Pom Pom!
Hope it went well for you.
annabella
Elegant and spanish as me!!!!

This PROVES IT...age is not an excuse for a lack of style!
http://lisapetrarca.blogspot.com/2010/11/were-on-tv-edison-vs-los-alamitos.html
when you get old, you can be either kind of gross or super cute.
example a of a well dressed elderly.
a good sense of style never ages
http://myamalgam.blogspot.com/
calssic and elegant!
He's so great!
I wish I had a Grandpa like him!
He looks just so fabulous! What e great combination of colors, the checked jacket with the purple and a bit of red! This is just perfect!
I actually wish that more guys would wear purple, but maybe it suit gentlemen at a certain age better, than on young men?!
I would be happy to see pics of a bit older ladies here as well, thanks for a great job!
Very very nice shoots...
so stylish! cool scarf!
www.abitoffashion.com
These shots from Madrid are just the best!
I am loving the handkerchief. It's all in the small details. This man is so graceful.
He reminds me of the old man who comes to visit me at work. So sweet!
Lovely picture! Older people always tend to charm me..
www.ladynblogspot.blogspot.com
I love this - the purple scarf, the pocket square, the big watch. I love the composition of the picture - the green background and bench make the colour accents stand out even more.
http://a-fashion-fixation.blogspot.com
Style at every age. Way to go gramps. Love the purple xxx
http://reallyliteral.blogspot.com/
All these style sentences come to mind... style's got nothing to do with age. Fashion fades, style is timeless... etc. Wonderful.
Has there been a slight change of style in your photos lately?
I like the blurred ut backgrounds that put the ever stylish people in even sharper focus.
http://momentc.blogspot.com
Style has no age... That´s the last thing to repair in his way.
Seem someone that had a very nice life and now enjoy what is coming to him, his face has a peace.Very handsome yet.
Great style!!!!!! This is a typical spanish old men.
De Madrid al cielo(From Madrid to the sky)
love the elegant style. ageless!
Older men who keep their style is beautiful :)
This man looks great: his colours are beautiful. I find it interesting that some people refer to him as 'grandpa'. How do they know he's got grandchildren? Why the ageism and assumptions that older people wouldn't/couldn't dress well? I'm sure none of the younger posters on this site imagine that they will suddenly start wearing polyester pant-suits or jogging bottoms when they get to be whatever age they consider 'old'. If you dress with style and taste as a young person why would you suddenly not care as an older person?
Wonderful photo!!
Street Style by Stela
very cool...I love this pic
So Cool! Él es de los mío: covinación de colores a full!
Love ;
what a great man. love it
Anonymous at 4:58...why take the walking stick OUT of the picture?
I like that you showed the very young little "man" with the pom pom socks and this older gentleman in the same day on your site. Nice contrast.
i guess you have to be cool even if you're old, i agree with that!nice clothes!
He looks really good! I like the scarf so much. And the colors! A little red sparkl - so elegant.
style is a neverending story
http://robertoderosa.blogspot.com/
Oh.. I just love well dressed older men.. I feel like he probably makes it his job everyday to keep his mind still running... When I see a well put together older man... I think of my grandfathers... they were both like this.
hhandsome
This shows that personal style is nothing about age. He looks great!
http://umbrellabeachfashion.blogspot.com/
His color choices are so cheerful - I really like this photo.

Wow. He's so handsome! Gorgeous pics!
www.cuppycakeme.blogspot.com
style at all ages, yours photos are ver good!
As it is possible to be seen in Madrid not only the women are elegant. There are men of all the ages, even very very young, that waste style. Spain is a country that probably is not fashionable, but that always has had style.
I love the pattern of his jacket!
----www.nolitavintage.com---
Aww. I love his smile !
sweetness impersonated!!!
A zoooooom on the watch would be interesting, but the pocket square we love...
http://www.thedarkyard.blogspot.com/
That is a pleasant older man.
windowshopz.com
LOVE.
Rich beautiful colors.
To the person who is complaining about 'ageism': Old people do tend to stop caring about keeping up their appearances, which just adds to this gentleman's striking-ness. Maybe it is a stereotype, but every stereotype has a reason behind it. It's a compliment anyway, when people don't expect something good of you yet you bring it, like this man does.
Awesome Scarf - http://whatwouldmondo.blogspot.com/
very chic!

Wonderful pictures.

I think the people before me has said it all. Truly a good looking man.
When will you come to Sweden?
www.letusmakeamagazine.com
what an adorable old man!!!
That bench the gentleman is sitting at, looks like the ones on park Olavide in Chamberi. Lots of children and senior citizens walk that park. I don't know if our gentleman dressed for show or comfort, regardless, his choice was good. There is class in his combination of kakhi and plad and edginess in the bright colored accesories.
I love Madrid, you can see stylish people everywhere specially around El Prado and Serrano Street. I've been here since Oct 10th.
This Photo made me write...kind of a conversation not with Scott, but the kind faced gentleman...
blogwalking here.. nice pictures luv it :)
I don't know if it's Madrid or if it is you, I would say the combination of both, but your last pictures are brilliant.
fantastic! i wish i will be dressed like that when i am old and wrinkly (and yes, i am a girl) - LOVE the fuchsia/purple scarf and how serene does the dapper gentleman look? well done whoever you are! *curtsies*
Simple critique.. Fashion is not only for young ones. :-)
Is he just cute! i love his jacket

What a wonderful gentleman!
Old and stylish. Love it! Vintage clothes with a great orange element and a modern violet shawl. He dresses better than most young people.
I love the Bold colors that spanish men are no afraid to use!!!
Gr8 pic ...
There is something very inviting and welcoming about this picture. I feel I would be welcomed to sit, chat, share and enjoy some great wit, charm and wisdom from this guy.
With Veteran's Day having just passed it is always energizing to me to see people of the Great Wars generations so ready and able to share and smile and twinkle in the eye. Knowing what I do from many in my family who went through those years and history I have been taught I cannot imagine the stuff of the fortitude that allowed so many of them to even want to go on sometimes. This a testament to the strength and resilience of those of those generations (and indeed others) and all in the cropping of this single shot. Spectacular Scott.
Madrid rocks with fashion- young, old, male, female, it's all good!
Just beautiful to see old people dress up on a regular day.
I love it! Gentleman is forever! And the style, too...

I like this picture because it looks natural and stylish at the same time.
How cute!
Madrid is sooooo nice!
Love how he is relaxed, colorful and so completely COMFORTABLE. If any item of clothing does not feel comfortable or allow freedom of movement it is not worth wearing!
By the looks of it... a dapper gent!

Wow. Love the color of his scarf. He seems happy. Wonder what he was doing there. Taking in his surroundings...
Awesome! Brilliant!
The best part of this picture is his smile.

makes him look much younger by
colours, his smile makes me smile
wonderful! Me encanta :)
I wish we had Men like this where I live. This is a Man, in the classic sense, who, if you sat beside him, would engage you in a mesmerizing conversation; give you his undivided attention; he would generously impart sweet, serene wisdom. He would chuckle and tap the place close by his side, and I would slide near, and he would tell me stories for hours. Maybe he would smell like something I forgot from my childhood. Oh, and he would still have that passion in his eyes. Oh, what a man this is!
He is not posing, he is smiling. He is not dressed up, he is dressed.
It's nothing for him.. Very cool.
I love how he wears his sweet smile.
Class never gets old, it's true.
this is a very nice blog.I like that you showed the very young little "man" with the pom pom socks and this older gentleman in the same day on your site.
thanks

How many men these days go out and buy a purple scarf?---just absolutely wonderful!
