it's so much about the attitude... If she were slouching along, if she didn't look so much like a human lioness, the outfit might look somewhat outdated, but as it is, she looks fantastic!

Is Savitri her name ? It's my second name too. How strange to see an other europeean person with this name. She must have India lovers parents like me.

Great picture !

This has a very cool 80's vibe interpreted for now--the wild hair, the bright red jacket, the full swingy shape and length of the skirt.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:48 AM) :

I love the red blazer, it pops out of the picture. Worn like this, with the lapels up, it makes it look rather edgy. I also like the skirt, it is a nice taupe and looks great with the red. She is beautiful, very Italian looking. Interesting to see sandals worn with nylons, I'm never sure of this myself. When I wear sandals, it's always with bare feet.

Blogger Misanthropic Pulp said ... (10:56 AM) :

Anonymous Zenobiar said ... (11:09 AM) :

Terrific red and terrific hair. Great look overall but seriously needs to re-think the eyebrows, Italian or not. She can do better than that.

Blogger Rebecca Kiger said ... (11:16 AM) :

Love the hair and the jacket. Beautiful face. The surprise is the magazine image peaking out from her hand. Their faces hold similarity because of the bright lips and defined eyebrows.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:20 AM) :

Anonymous Anna said ... (12:30 PM) :

I love the way the arms of the blazer are pushed up- so unstudied! Also, wish we could see what shirt she chose for this outfit...

Anonymous Maija said ... (12:30 PM) :

I love this photo, not only because it captures a lady with tons of elegance, but because she has "more" legs that are normally required as "good" legs..I have larger legs myself, and it's a real dilemma when other parts of one's body do not exactly match! When I was younger I never wore skirts because of that, fortunately the complex is over and she's the perfect example why! <3

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:33 PM) :

I remember her, she's the lady with the raw edged skirt and the beautiful silhouette.

She's carrying those mysterious keys again..

This is another great look, love the jacket, skirt and shoes. And her hair, wow, it's even more stylish now. This look is more polished, but I like both looks very much.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:15 PM) :

Love the wild Helena Bonham Carter hair, the edgy-punky eyebrows, the cheekbones, and the distinct but unplaceable retro vibe in the outfit.

Blogger The Files Of Fashion said ... (1:18 PM) :

Her hair is amazing and she just look so classy. Also I love the contrast of her red blazer and the pop art girl on her magazine...

Blogger Liv said ... (1:25 PM) :

AAAAHHH RED!!!! Love it.

Blogger Words said ... (1:33 PM) :

Just re-examined this and that thick herringbone gold necklace and the way her outfit is an abstraction of the Lichtenstein makes this even more flawless than I first thought.

Blogger The Accidental Nerd said ... (1:33 PM) :

This style is absolutely breathtaking! The red just pops. This looks more like a scene from a movie. And her hair is so dramatic as well. Beautiful.

Anonymous Julia said ... (1:43 PM) :

The hair and the red jacket make the whole outfit unique. Her attitude is also one of a strong woman that is very confident about her own style and personality.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:49 PM) :

Nice overall balance of colours in the shot. The red jacket is the star. The way she's dressed from the waist down is just blah but it's a great canvas for the jacket.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:53 PM) :

Yes ok she's got a face and knows which colours suit her... But that outfit is very dull!
The hair, face and jacket (only the colour really though) are great and then it just dies with that dull skirt and those awful tights. The shoes completely dissapear and make no impact at all!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:56 PM) :

Kudos to her for pulling this off! She looks fantastic. There's something so 80s about every element, including hair and makeup. But I love though.

Anonymous Allison said ... (2:11 PM) :

Love her eye.

The 80s-vibe in the hair and make-up, and in the vibrancy of the jacket, have always appealed to me; they've always reminded me of the hand-tinted photos of the 20s, somehow. And these fabrics scream quality, if ladylike fabrics scream.

I love her stance! It makes her look so elegant

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:35 AM) :

On second glance, just realized another reason why I love this photo--she's not carrying a bag! She's actually carrying things in her hands, and her rolled-up sleeves accentuate her no-nonsense puposefulness. What a nice change... so many women seem to lean on "it" bags to give themselves glamour. She, however, generates it on her own.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:32 AM) :

There's something timeless about what she is wearing! And the composition of the photo is perfect! Is this a real person in a real moment? I ask b/c it makes for a great editorial piece...

Anonymous Angie Muresan said ... (1:34 AM) :

Seriously now... There are only two things I like about this picture: her wild hair and the no nonsense attitude on her face. Everything else just bores me.

Was this staged...? Because it's a good picture, Scott.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:01 AM) :

So perfect with the red blazer, the demure but unfussy skirt, and the classic black sandals--timeless and yet so modern.

Can't stop gushing.

Anonymous Theobroma said ... (2:52 AM) :

Amazing color palette - neutrals: her skin, the skirt, the street, the building; sharp, saturated complementary colors: the red jacket, her red lips, the red hair and lips of the magazine illustration, her blue(!) nail polish, the blue awnings, the blue eyes of the mag illo, the bluish-green paint on the building doors, the same bluish-green on the car; darks: the shadows behind her, the edges of the signs, the muted black of her legs and sandals.

Her attention, fixed intensely on something out of frame, is a parallel for ours on her. Also, the wrist piercing is bananas!

Fascinating ambiguity with the neckline -- is she wearing a necklace and a top with an extremely low neckline (hence the modest jacket-front clutch), or is the "necklace" actually the visible trim on an apparently almost-transparent top?

I'm just astounded you captured this, because it's so perfectly composed it looks like a setup.

A visual poem. Love.

Interesting outfit... but I don't like pantyhose with strappy heels, sorry, I'd either replace them with regular pumps or leave tights at home.
