Anonymous jdit said ... (5:50 PM) :

Alright already - so it's not a Vespa...I wish I had the patience for such a beard. What a helmet too, just missing a little propeller on it maybe?

Anonymous Paul (UK) said ... (6:00 PM) :

CeCe got it, it's a Piaggio Liberty from a few years ago, but Scott already said it's NOT a Vespa in the title! Both are made by Piaggio of course.

Love the shot, happiness is two wheel fun! Classy trench sans belt.

Yes, this is Robert - there's a shot of him in the same trench in Scotts book.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:10 PM) :

How nice to see The Sartorialist featuring some smart fashion. It is refreshing to finally see a helmet in one of these shots! A helmet is sexier than a head injury...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:33 AM) :

a big smile with some beard is something that your clothes can't provide. but that adds more character and individuality, and timeless!

Blogger AyaDnofrio said ... (2:08 AM) :

Trench coat and motorcycle!!
It is dandy highest and novelty.<33

Blogger Cecille said ... (2:20 AM) :

he's so funny!and he has a great outfit!

Blogger MeighanShawsome said ... (2:48 AM) :

I could not possibly agree more with the use of this photo! What charm and lust for life radiates from this man. The sunshine-yellow helmet simply reinforces the love for life and the desire to continue on for years to come.

As somebody who utilizes a longboard as my main method of commuting, I cannot emphasize enough the necessity for a helmet. Go ahead and don your favorite baubles, your finest slacks; embrace your style as you see fit. Above all else, though, embrace your brain. A simple piece that may not easily slip into your daily dressing, a helmet will certainly ensure that you have many more ahead of you.

Three cheers for this man and The Sartorialist for bringing safety to the fashion forefront, intentionally or not!

Ooo! It's a Piaggio Liberty!! I have the exact same bike, but in cherry red! *Bless*

Sadly, Piaggio changed the shape of the body slightly a couple years ago, and it's not nearly so stylish in my opinion...

'Elegant' Italian people have one big issue according to me: "If you have seen one of them.. you have seen them all".
Absolutely not to be compared to the NYC/Paris/London scene..
