Comments on "On the Street...The Strand, London"
The shoes with taht asimettric paltform are amazing!
http://fashiondoesntexist.blogspot.com/
What a great red shade for autumnal outfits and the shirt dress is an absolutely great piece and the way she combines it with the greyish tights is fashion advanced. love, FashionLifeCoach
lovely red shoes
the whole outfit is amazing
the red shoes!!!!
Both of these women have such poise. I love both of their outfits but especially the woman in red - she looks utterly original. Who matches their makeup to their red dress? On paper it wouldn't seem to work, but she has the elegance to carry it off. Beautiful.

Lovely picture. I love the way her coat and shoes pick up the red of the London bus. Was that strategically placed Scott?
It's her again! great colours, beige and red just fit perfectly, remainds me a lot of the 40's
love the red dress

Her red is unique.
Her expression is little fragile.
The lady in red looks awesome!!!
Is red is the new black? Is love is the new black?
Vita and Virginia! Brunettes wear red so perfectly.
Gorgeous, stylish women! I wonder what is beneath the raincoat?
To Lauren who asked "Who matches their makeup to their red dress?"... well, it's not a new concept, I've been doing it all my life.
Relaxed, yet striking.
I love those Gray Textured tights.. and over the red. My love for hosiery and tights on women go way back, not sure why, but I think its so feminine. Very nice find.
this
love that grey hat, how very Kramer vs Kramer; autumnal ladies, love it x
She looks like a ballet dancer minus the over-developed calf muscles and turnout. Beautiful!
I don't think the red is a dress. it looks more like pants looking at the hemline, Which would be even more amazing.
I think the red is a pants jumpsuit not a dress, but still amazing.
Très élégantes ladies ... j'adore le chapeau.
i love that bag.. and yes those red shoes!
http://articlenumber5.blogspot.com
wow! as in wow! :]
Love these young women and their unique style. Everything but the bags. Macrame?!? And the black or grey whatever-it-is. But I love the clothes, colors, and shoes although most of all the women themselves.
sandals with tights... I will never understand/like it. It's all over these days. What do you think?
Love shoes and bag ! That's real BCBG :)

I'm trying to figure out where on the strand this is as i can't picture any trees on the strand. The only place would be towards Aldwych but then the church isn't in the background.
love the simplicity of it all played up by their still understated accessories.
these girls need some jewelry from Rossmore! http://rossmorela.com/
The red dress, red shoes AND red lipstick! OUTSTANDING.
Wonderful what a splash of warm color can do for an ensemble.

Frida Kahlo.
She is mesmerizing.
i just love how chic, classy, and extremely fashionable they look
A refreshing break from short frocks and leggings. Fabulous!
This is amazing!
Yes the red dress is of course is a bold colour, though it has a really soft cozy impression with the great tights & macrame purse.
Love the suede shoes.
I love their stance!
I love London, and I love the style of London!!
Color perfection! Great job

I guess that these amazing brown sandals are Marni's?
I love the composition of the photo, the big blob of green behind them, the red of the bus complementing the red of the dress. I like the women in tan better.

Elegant and wearable that 40's outfit with a touch of our days:classical, bohemian and chic.
Wonderful, smart, classy at any age ... and a hint of red bus in the background!

Love the curly hair on both women. Those red shoes with the grey tights--LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!
Yesss, to the woman in red. So theatrical but not silly and somewhat modern. I love when women embrace nostalgia in the current interpretation. I can't. I just follow Celine like a herd animal:)
Today I'm settling for this shot.
I'm having a day when I can't seem to get inspired by anything. I like the calm, reassuring, uncomplicated looks of these ladies. I'm in the mood for it.
What an immense contrast with the M. Jacobs shots.
It's not that I don't like that new collection, but when I think of all the stress that went into it: 'it's got to be this, it's got to be that and most of all, it's got to be done in time!' I just get tired thinking about it. It's a tour de force and the comment 'Marc does it again' is appropriate.
But, like I said, I'm just not in the mood for it.
I'll settle for these English dames, a pipe, a fire and a detective story right now.
Rust is such a great fall colour works wonderful with the dark grey tights. I hope she wears matching manicure too, either grey or rust
The shoes are the only clue to the present era. The shoes are a dead give away - its 2010.
Great red outfit indeed but I find the red/orange eye make-up a little too much. And orange eyeshadow always make you look like you were just crying your eyes out.
That gorgeous woman again! I love her red outfit. She's gorg.
love the lady in red
http://wonderland-jrey.blogspot.com/
If pictures were needed to define 'The Strand' this would have to be one of them.
Love the red shoes. The red coat. The crazy hair....

I love this retro look. If I am correct, this woman appeared earlier in this blog...
It's scientifically proven reading Mrs. Dalloway does wonders for one's fashion sensibilities. Exhibit A. and B.

at first glance I thought it was Nadia from froufrouu
very very glam; I love both the shoes!!!
This has got to be the most beautiful outfit I have seen in a long time. They look flawless
that jacket is one amazing color
The woman in the red looks like how I wish I'd look like...absolutely beautiful, the whole outfit is just perfect, and the shoes are amazing. She also has adorable hair...
VERRRRRRRYYYYYYYYY cute!
RED dress...
Great picture! I'd love to see some detail of the make up the lady in red is wearing and the lady in beige, I've never seen someone wear accesories so gracefully! Well done!

Both look incredible - and the outfits compliment each other so well. Tamara (in the hat) is an incredible stylist, so I'm not surprised to see her looking so chic. A masterclass!
What great composition. Both ladies look so beautiful and classic, and their outfits compliment each other so well. Tamara (in the hat) is an incredible stylist, so I'm not surprised to see her looking so effortlessly chic. A masterclass!
can someone PLEASE tell me who made those shoes... i'm hopeless at finding them!
looking at this photo seems to take me back in time. they both look so beautiful.

The Lady in red is Valentina Ilardi Martin, the editor in chief of amazing GREY Magazine, www.grey-magazine.com.
Love the knitted tights with the chunky shoes, and the color combination is gorgeous!
I'm trying to decide how I feel about the macrame bag...Part of me feels like the contrast makes it interesting, and part of me feels like it just doesn't click. I wonder if a leather satchel-type bag, or traditional purse would sit better with the rest of the look.
Overall - both women look stunning and totally original.

the girl on the right, who is she? I've got photos of her from backstage at Ashley Isham SS11
love the mix of blood red and gray - the socks add so much texture to the outfit!
just gorgeous!!
she just makes her friend look invisible though....
The woman in red is Valentina Ilardi..Gray's fashion editor...ove her very personal style.
The shade of red goes well on her porcelain skin! Love her hair-do too!
Woman in red, cool style.
Lovely picture. I love the woman dress on red because she resembles a quite unique sophisticated look. She carried the dress perfectly. I also envy the shoes that the girl (with the raincoat)is wearing, quite an impressive fashion sense of style.
Wow that looks like a step back in time! I love the old fashion big hats!! Thanks for sharing the picture!
