I love the no sock look too! HOT! XOXO, Natalya
Fresh! =)
Impecable as always.

Love the shoes, the color in the outfit, and his expression is priceless.

I do not love this no-sock trend. It looks silly.
Love love it...
C'est la classe

This man is always fierce!
I don't think I have ever seen him wearing socks!!
The frames are great, really completes the look.

no socks... stinky feet.
but it makes for a great look.
o the sacrifices we make to look good...

Dude, it gets pretty cold in those old stone buildings in Paris this time of year. How about some socks?
The colour of that suit is fantastic
Looks a bit like Robert Downey Jr.
Very handsome. Perfect!
Seeing a lot of this army-type green lately and loving it - especially when the fabric is cut so well, like the suit Mr. Cortina is rocking.
I love the color and the glasses.
kisses from Brazil*

It's the glasses!
The no-sock look is here to stay.
Cortina never disappoints love the single monk strap...but is that jacket ventless?
Oh, but how cool is he ?
Very ...
Go Green
That's what I call stile in middle age.
Call me crazy but I am getting sick of no socks... especially as we head into fall and winter. It is time to bring out the great socks.
I think that a suit without socks is a sin, regardless of age, gender, style etc. It looks cheap, try hard and undermines any sense of style the subject actually has. This is a case in point - the guy clearly has style, but has let himself down, no end. (and yes, his feet will smell of cheese and his partner will not be pleased)
SEXY!!
The "No Sock" is getting as silly as "Sagging"!
David
Great style, but why this trend of no socks? It just makes it look like his pants aren't long enough. Great photo though
hes got great taste. only few men can pull of shoes with no socks!
xoxo,

I agree. The no sock thing has run it's course and similarly, once that is over, men can start wearing decent length pants again since they won't need to be broadcasting to the world that they aren't be wearing socks.
This can't end soon enough for me.
Is anyone able to identify the glasses?
Hemingway hated socks.
No socks and shoes again! It's funny how women are now wearing socks with heels, but men are doing the opposite!

he looks like he is up to something! i do love the look, though, so poised and very professional yet stylish!
I usually wear long socks haha
1word to describe him: elegance
Bisous

My husband is from Miami and has not worn socks for all the years were together! and he has some gorgeous hand made shoes. Style, is style, is style i...
He's not a fan of the iron i see..

if women can do the no-stocking look in the midst of winter, then
men can do the no sock look autumn 2010.
This photo has so much attitude!
It's time to put the socks back on and let the pant legs out.
beautiful man!))
The no sock look was featured heavily in Europe this summer. I think I will definately be featuring this downunder this coming summer.
Love the look, but not sure it's meant for October...?
Sockless Mr Cortina just lost his street cred.
Aaah Sir Cotina. Be still my heart. Be still.
Ta for my cup of taste for the day Sir Sartorial
Great pic nicely captured...No socks makes look yuckkkkkk
I really like your post thank u for sharing with us
Dad?

If Scott shoots me in Paris today he will be shooting socks. It's 11 degrees during the day and 2 at night.

Is it a trick of the tailoring, I wonder, or does he actually have such (proportionately) long legs? Whichever it is, the shape, and length, of his trousers is very attractive.
Interesting how destabilized so many people are by the absence of socks. I have a colleague who feels the same way about apostrophes.
great style
Somehow - it doesn't do it for me. My reaction would be different for an Italian guy wearing the same thing in Milan.

nice round shaped grasses!!
Perfectly comfortable and stylish. I particularly like the open buckle on his shoe/s.
http://maybrady.blogspot.com/
Enough of the no sock nonsense!!
Men's shoes have to get a whole lot more interesting to pull this thing off. This "look" is only halfway there. (and I hope it never gets there.)
men wearing no socks = casual and dressy at the same time! love it.
http://www.cicidi.com/
i wish more men in my country can dress a bit more like this elegant guy
i miss his sunglasses!!
I think we've reached the tipping point here: With apologies to this guy in the photo, but "no socks" has become too much of a contrivance. Strange how such a simple thing for men can set off such debate -- and that's exactly the reason not to go sockless. The debate is getting tired. The contrivance looks tired. Let's head to the sock drawer and move on.
Why is fashion ostracism of socks?
Oh his little toes must be fro. Brrr.
where did he leave his sunglasses?
I am also continuing to go sockless this fall, and will continue into the winter until I can't bear it anymore. I am happy to report that I continue to see alot of other guys still doing it here in NYC. (I will admit though, it's even less comfortable in the cooler weather...kind of cold and clammy...).
In the Caribbean - no socks has always been fashionable - Europe is just catching on.
He might be wearing a pair of these tiny, invisible socks, though. Either way he looks so attractive - and I adore his Facial expression along with those spectacles;-)
When i grow up , want to be just like Mr. Cortina ! even just for a day,,,,, lov his look, he seems to carry it off with just ease,
Love the color of the suit.
The open buckles and kind of half turned-up jacket collar give a cool edge to the look.
He's a stylist right, so it's all probably well thought over..
These pieces are fierce! I found some great wholesale finds at http://www.tashaapparel.com/ as well!!!
I love George! His style is amazing.
fridayswithcilantro.blogspot.com
He needs to put some socks on. Black or brown socks would be great for this outfit.
Why do suits look classier sans socks? It shouldn't make sense but it does...

I always love pics of Mr. Cortina, he is eternally chic!!
Does he never wear socks? it seems so. I love his glasses.
He always look sharper than ever
http://intermsofme.blogspot.com/
Please stop this "put some socks on" nonsense... you may dislike the look, but the "stinky feet" part is rubbish!!!
BTW I think he looks great. The shape and color of his glasses and the way the collar of his jacket is up but nicely folded.
I like his shoes!
THOM BROWN AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!
well this pic generated a lot of discussion,l this is what it is all about! I personally prefer socks on with formal shoes, but that is just me!
That overall look is one of the best I've ever seen. Amazing.
Big fan of the no socks look.
Sid Mashburn has it perfected.
do you think he'd marry me?
www.tilleysvintage.blogspot.com
Fashion seems to always follow style..so once the masses make a style fashionable it plays itself out.
The whole "sans" sock thing and it's "Deliberate Nonchalance" is now passe.............NEXT.
However GC who is a creative seems to always get it right...even if the monk strap unstrapped is a bit pretentious....but I digress.....
gladman
he's wearing socks. he gets ankle socks, cuts them in half, slips his foot into only the to portion, and VOILA! not sure how much chicer it gets.....
glasses!
So chic it is! Today in NYC the temperature is 39 degrees, and I can't believe it, but I am wearing my wingtips with no socks. Saw lots of other guys flasing ankle as well, so I'm not alone. I will keep this up until I can't bear it anymore.
his backward glance clinches it.
