Blogger TussahSilk said ... (2:39 AM) :

Love that this picture is more than fashion: it's art.
Love that the subject seems unaware of you taking his photo.
Love the juxtaposition of the large text and the small.
Love the black & white picture of a black guy writing on white paper.
Love the energy of art in the making.

Generally, I just love this picture. I keep coming back to it.

Such a striking image. It makes you want to know more. Art often leaves one with questions not answers. This photo is elevated to that place.

Blogger beths said ... (8:49 AM) :

Puts me in mind of some Bill Hayward photos, from _Bad Behavior_ and so on. [That's a good thing!]

Blogger *sunday* said ... (8:55 AM) :

i like taking photos of people when they are so immersed in what they are doing, they dont notice you... Like when a photographer is shooting..

Anonymous Mery said ... (9:06 AM) :

So, if fashion is about passion and self-expression then this man has got both.
Also I noticed the functionality of his clothing - jeans inside boots so they won't get dirty, gloves in back pockets, hair covered by a hat, long sleeves for more comfortable painting? :)

Blogger Eryl said ... (9:47 AM) :

Oh my, he seems to be so immersed: completely in his zone. The texture of the wall is wonderful, especially set alongside the texture of his sweater.
