Blogger Unknown said ... (2:58 AM) :

Stunning!!! And I love the way she wears the Kelly.

Blogger 365WatchStories said ... (7:55 AM) :

She's the kind of reason why I have always been infatuated with French women...so 'don't look at me' and yet how can one not?

Blogger barsanetti said ... (8:14 AM) :

i loved the purse, the colors and the shoe
just didn't like this belt
but it is a great photo, anyway
very nice street behind her

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:17 AM) :

I really like the summer autumn transition, as those shorts could almost work well as trousers, though i'm not too keen on the bag- would be nice for some colour, and also the bag cunningly hides the join of her shorts to her legs! lovely hair though!

Anonymous Rachel said ... (8:20 AM) :

The knotted belt is fantastic.

Blogger Eléonore said ... (8:21 AM) :

Nice outfit !! Love the shoes ;)

Blogger Misnomer said ... (8:40 AM) :

She has great hair and I like her bag and the confidence she exudes.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:45 AM) :

I love her bag!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:45 AM) :

I love how her bag and the way she holds it is part briefcase, part Grace Kelly.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:46 AM) :

Her hair is the first striking visual about her, you then draw your eyes further down to the simple clothing, down to the clutch of the handbag strap which gives a sense of seriousness to her, and then to the perfect pair of earthy cream shoes. Her facial expression ties the story together, and she is a true woman!

a perfect photo.

Blogger Nadine2point0 said ... (8:48 AM) :

Love this look - especially the subject's cheeky expression..."yah... so?"

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:48 AM) :

J'adore le sac!!

Anonymous Nora said ... (8:51 AM) :

She's gorgeous!! I want her hair!
Love the white shoes

Anonymous akiko said ... (8:58 AM) :

wow!! and wow!!

her hair, her eyes.
she's gorgeous.

people you captured in the photos have the style and seem never be lazy about their look. im trying to be one of them except the days when i feel very tired in the morning, when it's raining hard outside and when i just try to get through the day. oh many excuses.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:58 AM) :

So nice to see those shoes at the end of the outfit - was expecting something ultra-feminine after the overall unisex look. However, glad she didn't go there: her hair and face are beautiful enough as a foil.
She looks comfortable and confident; white bucks with the dark are a good, unexpected choice.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:06 AM) :

what's is her name?
she is a buyer isn't she?
well no doubt she really need a new bag!

Blogger Unknown said ... (9:06 AM) :

Anonymous enrique said ... (9:45 AM) :

Nothing like wearing black with different textures complimented with beautiful white dress shoes. The leather bag is the cherry on top.

Blogger Devi said ... (9:47 AM) :

Everything about this look is great!

Blogger Jack Daniel said ... (9:51 AM) :

Finally, an original styled lady.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:59 AM) :

The flat shoes are totally appropriate with shorts.

On another note Sart-when can we see some 'women of a certain age'? You haven't shot any in quite a while...... thanks

Anonymous Maryanne said ... (10:02 AM) :

that old adage "clothes make the man"

in this case, the handbag makes the woman.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:09 AM) :

Your blog is lovely! I love it ;)

Anonymous Lauren said ... (10:13 AM) :

Fantastic - mannish style on a very feminine woman. Oh, to have her hair. I agree with another comment that this feels like one of the more original looks you've caught in a while - I think it feels stylish rather than fashionable (or maybe that's just the Parisian background?!).

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:15 AM) :

This look would have a different feel to it if it was in New York. The fact that she is in Paris makes it that much more refreshing.
French women can't help but getting it right, don't you agree?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:26 AM) :

She looks like the French actress who played Marion Cotillard's older sister in the film Love Me If You Dare (Jeux D'enfants.)

Is she??

Blogger The Sluice Box said ... (10:27 AM) :

What a great combination of practicality (flat shoes) and style (hair, handbag).

If this isn't your quintessential Parisienne then I don;t know what is! Classic, understated, sickeningly chic and carrying a VERY luxurious handbag... One of those girls who is terrifying and intriguing in equal measure. I want to be her, just a little bit X

Blogger "Guppy" Honaker said ... (11:39 AM) :

This is one of the rare moments when I think the model (who is beautiful) is wearing a very nice outfit AND shoes. Usually the shoes are bizzar, but these look great. Her purse, though, looks like it's held together by hair clips!

Blogger Kathleen said ... (1:20 PM) :

Great shot. She is very lovely and her outfit, casually stunning. I love the shoes, but I'm a bit thrown off by the bag. A little too soon I think, for an accessory of this type. Or perhaps its too business like for such a casual outfit? All in all, she is perfection. Terrific lighting.

Ahhh actresses...

Particularly French actresses...

Blogger Unknown said ... (2:03 PM) :

I like her shoes!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:20 PM) :

As the young 'uns would say, OMG! I WANT THAT JACKET!!!! Love the belt too. Don't like the shoes per se (prefer that style in dark suede), but I dig the way she says FU to expectations and, instead of precious heels, wears down-to-earth, I-mean-business oxfords. And I like that her bag is simple and obviously old and well-used--so much more cool and stylish than the typical showy, overdone bags seen in fashion photos.

On that note, one side, and quite serious, question: Why do people get so fizzy about handbags? I just don't get it. They're annoying to carry (I avoid using one whenever possible) and most, to be honest, are sort of silly-looking--form overwhelms function, and most are so overdesigned and over-ornamented that they end up looking tacky. So how have they ended up being nigh unto fetishized by so many? An inquiring mind honestly wants to know.

Blogger Mcmaris said ... (2:21 PM) :

Her ensemble is great & her facial expression is priceless

Anonymous Maddox Kent said ... (2:56 PM) :

I love this look, her hair blown over to one side, her outfit casual yet thought out. I agree, it is hard to get it right even when casual.

Anonymous Gloria said ... (6:08 PM) :

Perhaps I'm one of those women who have odd heat-management systems, but how does one wear a wooly jacket with knit cuffs with shorts? If I'm hot enough to manage shorts, I'd be sweating profusely at the neck and wrists. Sigh.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:39 PM) :

Let's be honest. She could wear a trash bag and look great.

Anonymous martja said ... (8:12 PM) :

nice outfit with mix of textures but utterly inappropriate shoes.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:13 PM) :

That is a gorgeous bag. You can see the quality of the leather. And if only I had hair like hers...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:27 AM) :

Contrast her chic outfit against her blond nemesis stepping away from the photo. A much slouchier less structured bag, a heel with a skinny heel & sleeves of a blazer shoved up. The brunette's look is so much fresher & original.

Anonymous Maggie said ... (4:18 AM) :
