oh, lovely! i dance argentine tango myself, but it's not quite the same here in norway! so i hoped you or garance would post some shots of the real thing. i like that the photos are black and white; it adds a historical quality that feels right since tango started so long ago and is danced in these wonderful old buildings. - the last shot is of historical photos from milongas in this place, i gather? hope i'll get the chance to see it all for myself someday... in the meantime, thanks for posting these!

I love this place! I went there with my parents last year, and I always wonder if the guy who danced tango with me is still dancing, and if he is ok. He must be 80 years old now (I hope!), with his imaculate wig always flying with him through that amazing light...Thanks for the shot!

La Ideal! Amazing. Did you know that a few years ago, at night it became a disco. A very cool one. With bands like Gene Loves Jezabel. It was awesome to be there, in that retro environment, dancing The Cure, or perhaps The B 52´s.. Love that place. Night and day. A classic.
