Comments on "Guess Who I Sat Behind At The Kanye West "Runaway" Premiere in Paris?"
OMG :) This is SO Anna!!!!
Amazing woman!
<3
http://lamodemary.blogspot.com/
Thought it would have been Tavi...
I can't decide whether or not she is selfish or just fashionable. Either way I love her
How was the movie by the way? I've heard that is great, a masterpiece...
You went to the Paris premiere too didn't you? Pics please
Martha
I was thining of being a peacock for halloween this year, but after seeing the silhouette of this hat i might as well just be Anna dello Russo!
So, how the movie? I've heard it is great, a masterpice. Pics please... Kanye's outfits lately have been great, why don't you post some of them?
Is covering half the view charming?..
Ha! Awesome.
I guess the one time one wouldn't care/dare to ask the lady to kindly remove her hat.
Not blocking the view, but part of it.
She is indeed fantastic.

Anyone who wears a headpiece that big to an event where people behind her want to be able to see, is also rather inconsiderate of others, wouldn't you say?
hahaha i love the picture!
xxx, cinta from trapped in her closet
http://trappedinhercloset.blogspot.com/
I hope you were able to see through those wonderful feathers. LOL!
Also, can you tell us/clarify a bit about this "Kaye West Runaway Premiere."
Thanks!
Wow, you are pretty damn lucky!
www.FashionSnag.com
Did you see anything? Hehehehe...
My guess would have been Lady Gaga
Love the headpiece! HOW EXCITING!
Anna cracks me up! I enjoy her outfits so much.
www.theafeminada.blogspot.com
So her headpiece blocked people's views? Doesn't sound so charming to me.
if it were any other person - this would be annoying

This reminds me of the journalist who complained he saw a show through Tavi's gigantic bow... except you're not complaining!
Charming, maybe. I would think "selfish" might be a better descriptor of someone who wears that when sitting front row. The show isn't about her is it?
Wow that was a huge thing! But she is really awsome!
Lucky you!

I wonder at what stage in your life you begin to just think, F* it, I am wearing a full feathered head dress and to Hell with the people sitting behind me ...
Who would have the nerve to say, Madam, would you removed that bird from your head during the show ?
LOL
What a delightful chance encounter to add to your day:)
Her hat is perfect with the ballerina images!
hahaha!!! fun!!!

I love this photo. Fashion can be so serious. This is fun!
this picture captures a 'true' fashion moment, Anna is such a wonderful fashion figure!
That headpiece is shooting up to icon status!
Her blog is amazing, too. The little golden twinkles that waft down the screen when you move your mouse/cursor etc is very fabulous!
She totally is.
Agree w/Bronwyn. She could have at least sat in the back row so as not to block anyone's view.
Thats so cool!!! She is awesome... I wrote about her a few days ago because she is one of my inspirations :) I love that she have so much fun with her dressing
xx

Where oh where does she get the money for all this clothes?
as a ballerina :)
http://malibuananas.blogspot.com/
This is so incredible.
I guess it had to be Anna!
http://lhabitue.blogspot.com
Did she cause a stir like Tavi with her big head gear?
Love the photo - awesome silhouette of the fabulous Anna!
http://blacblouse.blogspot.com/
Now that's how you make a statement!
http://californiacandy.wordpress.com/
wow... hah!
this is amazing!
http://jimjims.net
How incredibly rude!
haha, i also thought it must be tavi!
Hi!
I really love Anna Dello Russo, she is so chic and unique.
kisses from Brazil*
http://neopopculture.blogspot.com/
Okay, so why not remove the enormous (yes beautiful indeed) headpiece while watching a screen with many people behind you unable to see a significant part of it?!
She could afterwards put it back on her head to remain fabulous.
Consideration + Style = Gratitude + Glamour.
I would have guessed Lady Gaga.. but it looks like more and more people are copying her crazy style.
She is great, but this is definitely the discourteous side! There are some situations in which it's more elegant not to draw attention to oneself.
I really don't see the charm in blocking other people from seeing the screen. No, I really don't see it.
AWWW man i thought you sat behind Lady Gaga and her head piece. well it was still cool
totally thought it was gaga .. haha oops
Lucky duck! She's so inspirational, I always imagine her as the adult version of Tavi Gevinson...
I take it they didn't do a "hat speech" before the show...Oh well, at least it was an experience.
She is so adorable
It's one thing to wear a fabulous headpiece. It's another to wear it all the way through a film screening, disrupting others' ability to see and enjoy the film and essentially insuring that one's own presence has more impact on some viewers than the film or event itself. Sorry, Sart, but I see nothing charming about that. Arrogant and self-indulgent, yes; charming, no.
wow that's an interesting head piece, sort of reminds me of grass, but tops for her :)
Awesome. I totally agree that it would be annoying if it were anyone else and she is very adorable. Cool picture!
That is NOT 'charming' at all. I don't give a damn who it is, if it was the President wearing a hat that obstructed my view, I'd ask him to remove it. That's just plain rude.
i thought it was going to be tavi. what a precious baby blogger.
Cher did this look in 1986 at the Oscars.
Bob Mackie headress.
Fabulous, but I would hate to sit behind her in any sort of event; how inconsiderate.
i totally agree with YOU!!! only she would wear those headpieces..
http://sweetlittleconfessions.blogspot.com/
i thought it was tavi. but yeah, so anna as well.
http://nouveauskin.blogspot.com
Gorgeous headpiece and beautiful juxtaposition with the ballerinas on the screen but a little inconsiderate. Perhaps that's the point?
LOL I was thinking it was her. Honestly I love her, but I don't think I would ever want to sit behind her. I'd be sad like one of those people who go to a concert only to end up behind a sign of a screaming girl or at an awards show behind lady gaga and her meat dress or one of her head pieces....sad.
so cool! but a bit difficult for you..
xo
Ahhh she is my fashion idol!
http://theutterlyinspired.blogspot.com/
haha.. this made me smile :)
http://faialofa.blogspot.com
She does not know what else to do to catch attention... where's the limit?
What is better? Sitting in front of her and seeing the show or sitting behind and seeing the headpiece?
Clay Douglass
http://www.google.com/profiles/claydouglass
you're right Scott...She's really one of the most charming characters in fashion today...great post
Ha ha ha lucky you....
I love hats, but this is kind of selfish at a fashion show!
Lucy you! I love Anna!
www.zscloset.blogspot.com
how annoying!!!
For a split second, I thought it was that 14-year old blogger (what's her name again?)
http://davidikus.blogspot.com/
gorgeous photo x
darlingandwolf.blogspot.com
This looked like a landscape in my dashboard.
ahahahah
that is wonderful hos you turn an obvious uneasy situation into a friendly compliment !
you are such a gentleman
really?
Perhaps charming, definetely not chic
My first guess would have been Lady Gaga. I'm glad you found it charming. I would not have been so charitable had I been forced to gaze upon her folly when I had come to see something else.
Uproar when Tavi wears a huge headpiece to a show, but charming when Anna does the same thing? Hmm.
nice photo !
http://mertxehernandez.blogspot.com/
You know, I love her, and I LOVE her fearless, fun sense of style! But......I can't help but think it's a tiny bit rude - if you know you are going to a film or show - to wear something that you know will mar the experience of others? So as much as I adore her, better judgement next time maybe? And long live the ADR's of the world who dress for fun & fabulousness...not for trends!xxo
Great Shot! The headpiece looks amazing. But it isn't too nice for the one that is seated behind her (:
hahaha you were in Dello-Russo-vision ?...
She's fabulous, but it's rather rude to block the view... I'm surprised she would do that.
Anna is ever Anna and her style is the most interesting respect on the other fashion editors...The "vey famous" Mrs Wintour hasn't a quarter of Anna's style and sense of fashioN!
http://fashiondoesntexist.blogspot.com/
For a second I thought is was Tavi as well. Hmm, did this take away from the film?
charming characters in fashion today?
ha ha ha, Ridiculous
Anna's hat is far more important than you having an unobscured view!
I can't help but think of Isabella Blow ... and how much I miss seeing her in the fashion scene. It's good to see her influence on the next generation.
....Cisors please!!!!
Anna is unique.
perhaps a little in the way? none the less, amazing!!
http://www.informalthing.blogspot.com
Believe me, this hat is more interesting than the flick......
Anna loves fashion without being fashionista. She has the inner capabilities to be both eccentric, sophisticated and simple. Marco
uff, anna, uff!
I knew it was Anna even before I scrolled down! haha Shes the best!
Maybe Sart was being ironic about the "charming" part? Maybe by taking this picture and posting it, he would like Anna to realize how her ridiculous fashion can come at the cost of others!
Just my thoughts...:)

the headress may have look amazing, but i'm sure he was frustrated at his masked view.
Ohhhhhh Anna. She would wear a head piece like that to a showing of a Kanye West music video. Totally inappropriate for the occasion but you got to love her for having the guts to wear things like that. God I love her.
check out my post of vintage fashion photos today!

T.A.P.S.
Not many people can still attract attention when they are sitting in silence in the dark. Anna being a clear exception :)

http://dessert--rose.blogspot.com/
I would say inconsiderate, not charming. Why didn't she sit in the back row so everyone else could see the film?
A legendary picture.
Anon.. 10.30 PM, I was actually thinking the same after a while.. Yeah maybe Sart is a bit ironic about it?!
I don't know Anna DR , I have never ever met her, or seen her live, so I am not the right person to critizize her, but as she is a media person, and a person who enjoys being in the middle of happening, I am sure she can take critics from unknown people.
Some famous people in the fashion business seems to me NICE, i.e everyone prob agree that Garance seems to be a really NICE person. The same thing I see in Kate Lanphear, and in Viv. Its something about the face and the smile, and of course what qualities speaks to me. Some one else might find Viv's smile totally annoying i.e. But in ADR, no, I do not see anything Nice in her. She might be lovely actually, but a person who blocks the view like that, can't be really nice.. or charmig can she..?
OR maybe she removed the head piece right after Sart had his picture taken..?
great photo!
Oh, I wish you would have taken a picture of her afterward in the light. I would have loved to seen the entire outfit.
i was going to guess lady gaga or tavi. i've never heard of this woman, thanks for sharing. love the photo.
I'm on the side of those who think it's inconsiderate. I'm pretty sure she wouldn't have been OK sitting behind someone who did the same thing.

I wanted to add another comment about this shot. At first I only saw my own annoyance, but it's actually an amazing shot. There's humor, irony and the composition is marvelous. The silhouetted feathers looming over the dancers in their purple tulle is lovely and seems a nod to Degas.
Haha, 82Brute is totally right! Everyone goes on about if this is annoying or charming, but actually the picture itself is great! And there is a lot of humor in it.
Re: Humor in the shot. It also brought to mind a classic Bugs Bunny cartoon called "Hare Do". Go to 2:24 for the moment.

The Runaway film was outstanding! Accept it for what it is and don't get caught up in what the media says about the creator and you will enjoy the story.
she's so fabulous!!! i hope you could see the screen!
She's so brilliant and chic and the video of Kanye is amazing!!!
http://voilamadame.blogspot.com/
Anna really is a joy. Having seen Kanye's Runaway myself, I would much rather admire Anna's head gear - even from the back.
This is just sublime. What a statement!
I totally thought it was Lady Gaga.
nice pic.
for a second i was thinking tavi because of the big bow she once wore . but she's tiny , so she wouldn't have blocked you . ha ha ha .
Reminds me of Isabella Blow...
Hahaha, how unfortunate to be seated right behind her when she's wearing THAT lol
i'm also on the side who thinks it's inconsiderate. no matter how beautiful/stylish/fashionable the hat/headpiece, one should always have it off when it's blocking the way of another, or at the dinner table, and other such social situations where taking it off would be the norm.
no exceptions to the person or headpiece!
LOL I was about to say Lady Gaga!
