Parisian chic at its best.

Very nice collection from YVS!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:31 AM) :

It was one of the most modern and elegant YSL collections!

Every interesting collection for this season was inspired in a way by Yves Saint Laurent, and I was wondering if Stefano Pilati will do the same thing.

Instead he took the YSL icons, changed them all and made them his own!

Really amazing collection.

Anonymous Dana said ... (7:31 AM) :

Sexy and austere. I love it. Love the suit with the slit skirt and pocket. Gosh, Stefano Pilati is so handsome and talented. He really brought the brand back to life.

Blogger Caddy said ... (8:19 AM) :

I like the clean line and simple silhouettes. It helps people wear the clothes and not vice versa.

Blogger Anaivilo said ... (8:20 AM) :

Wonderful photos!! I adored the collection, the dresses were fantastic

Anonymous l'habitué said ... (8:22 AM) :

The skirts, teh shapes, the cut and the dresses, so yves Saint Laurent, everything is Amazing....!!!!! And the outfit that you choose are, maybe, the best one of all the collection (however I'd have liked to see the dress with the ruffle...)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:27 AM) :

What a lovely collection! I love this one over Celine's, I must admit. Gorgeous, beautifully tailored. I need that belt!

Anonymous Violet said ... (8:38 AM) :

Anonymous Joanna Roman said ... (8:38 AM) :

Oh,yes!!! The fury skirt is just breathtaking!!! And Mr. Pilati looks good too :D

Anonymous The Photodiarist said ... (8:42 AM) :

One of my all time favorite lines. Beautiful and refined, as always.

Anonymous Kevina said ... (8:43 AM) :

The long green dress is truly beautiful, as is the first look. The others I'm not so keen on, and I definitely don't like how severe the makeup and hair make the models. It's a bit too sterile, I think, for such chic clothes.

Blogger Cecille said ... (8:59 AM) :

yes Joanna! Mr. Pilati looks very good!!

Anonymous Volga said ... (9:03 AM) :

Wow! I think this is the most beautiful I have seen this season. Just the best.

Blogger Brittany D'Lynne said ... (9:05 AM) :

Confident, clean & chic. I love swooning over clothes! maybe there is little swoon for Stefano Pilati as well:)

the models look like modigliani sculptures

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:19 PM) :

Can YSL be anything but classy?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:50 PM) :

Beautiful collection. YSL almost always manages to blend glamour with wearability. Elegant, with a touch of magic.

Blogger Unknown said ... (12:52 PM) :

I was wondering when we were going to see Freja!

I don't think the skirt is fur, but feathers - marabou perhaps?

Blogger 82Brute said ... (12:59 PM) :

These are incredible clothes. A real 1940's vibe, but he the skewed pocket and the thigh-high slit set the convention on its ear. The emerald ruffle dress is my favorite. I can see Ingrid Bergman sashaying into Rick's Bar in any of these.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:21 PM) :

Those belts give a classical chic touch.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:33 PM) :

Yes, very chic. I like the winter white suit with the black edging, and the belt. It is very wearable. The pocket placement at the top of the slit is also nice. These could be worn easily.

The last picture of the man in this lineup. Very handsome model, and like the way the shirt is cut low to show off his nice, well-defined chest. And that smile, framed by the beard - very nice.

Really beautiful . . . minimalism that is so much more feminine than the Celine . . . recalls the best of 1970's Jean Muir . . .

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:18 PM) :

Sexy yet classy. Nice - love the slits.

The fur (or is it feathers?) skirt is divine.

Anonymous Sian said ... (4:32 PM) :

That's my favourite collection so far. And I love the oxblood lacquered lips.

What a beautiful collection. Once again, every piece something I'd love to see in my closet.

One can always dream!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:44 PM) :

It was a great collection. YSL never disappoints. Now, I haven't looked at the shoes in detail, but it seems to me that they are wedges, but from behind, they look like regular heels. What a great way to make wedges less chunky!

Blogger Grace Escudero - The Afeminada said ... (8:08 PM) :

Blogger GioHunting said ... (6:29 AM) :

Wow!! It's a very modern way to conceive immortal YSL female icon!
I really like the fact that Pilati didn't follow the "shabby chic" trend that is now on in Paris...

Blogger Liz S said ... (7:24 AM) :

I esp like the faces and make up. Those lips look amazing.

Anonymous Maryanne said ... (10:26 AM) :

nothing even remotely reminiscent of ysl.
at least at chanel lagerfeld paid some sort of homage to the brand.

mmmmm....STEFANO!!!!!!

Anonymous Alessia E. said ... (1:29 PM) :

I love YSL, and this season's collection was awesome (as it is always), but I didn't like the makeup - way too much focus on the eyebrows. What's this trend of bleaching them? It's been seen at a few shows, and I am horrified by the orange-y blonde shades that are so unflattering, especially on brunettes. The lips are stunning, but the rest.. nay. Not even the hair.

Anonymous gorgeous said ... (3:43 PM) :
