Blogger la comedia del arte said ... (9:24 AM) :

well... nice photo but something is not right in that outfit maybe those too big shoes,... what a pitty.. nice coat anyway

Blogger Lisa Dora said ... (9:50 AM) :

I think the fact that her shoes are too big for her feet take away from this.A pity.....Or possibly im being OTT but all i can see here is the shoes are too big and are devoiding attention from what else is going on. :-(

Blogger Vinda Sonata said ... (9:50 AM) :

i love how she seemed to dress really freely.
love the combination of colors here, really go well with the neutral tone of the trench. her shoes are adorable too.

Was she really dressed like this? So wonderful!! I want to throw out all my black and white boring clothes and start anew... I think I'm already infected with the colour fever that's reigning on the ss runways! (and what a GREAT photo!)

Blogger Kathleen said ... (10:24 AM) :

Love everything down to the ankles and then, whoops!

Ill fitting shoes, and the socks have got to go... Plus they are making her shoes slip forward even more than they would have naturally.

Too bad, her outfit is killer.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:01 PM) :

Love the combination of bright colors and how she tones it down with the camel coat. Love the glasses, are those Tom Ford? I too wear Tom Ford sunglasses as Rx glasses. The fact that the shoes seem big for her feet, who cares? she just loves them and she doesn't mind, why would you? I just love the outfit as a whole. I have been wearing socks with sandals since I was little and I still love them!

Blogger Eryl said ... (12:03 PM) :

Very taken with her sleeve/cuff treatment, and she reminds me of a Terry Frost painting which is a jolly good thing.

I suspect the perceived shoe size problem is a trick of the light.

Blogger Fasshionxenophile said ... (12:11 PM) :

hahah, oh, I couldn't stop by notice her heels... seems bid on her feet but again, that might be caused by "angle" or "shading" or just the design of that "stick out" stacked heels. ^^

The whole ensemble is so professional runway look...like Jil Sander you just posted!! I wonder is that a shirt dress or what is paired w/ for her bottom half? Interesting......

Gotta love that old-lady looking glasses...haha...

Your recent posts are all so attractive, informative and inspiration!! Love it!!

Blogger thekiwibex said ... (12:14 PM) :

Wow, Jil Sander in full effect already!

Blogger Unknown said ... (12:33 PM) :

it has been a while since we got a nice shot for men.

Blogger City Style said ... (12:33 PM) :

She looks pleasantly scatty, like she didn't wake up in her own house this morning...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:38 PM) :

Lovely colours, but the shoes don't fit and the socks are desperate - even the most coltish legs are truncated by this look, and sweaty nylon inside open-toed sandals makes no sense whatsoever to me...

Anonymous Jed said ... (12:39 PM) :

Looks great down to the ankles. Shoes too big!

Blogger Valquíria L said ... (12:47 PM) :

She's just perfect. I love everything about this photo.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:47 PM) :

Wonderful lady. The colors coming out make you curious as to what she looks like under the trench coat.

I mean what her clothes look like under the trench coat :)

So what's better here, socks, stockings or just the heels? I'm at a loss.

Blogger Unknown said ... (12:56 PM) :

A statement outfit in colors! What a great shot. later, FashionLifeCoach

Blogger "Guppy" Honaker said ... (1:08 PM) :

Her handbag goes perfectly with the coat - and love the colors (esp the yellow) of the dress. And ankle socks!!!

WOW, That is some MAJOR clutch!!!! HAHA I have shoes similar to these. 1930's.

Anonymous Marlene said ... (5:50 PM) :

Excellent outfit and photo. Those shoes clearly fit fine, it's just the light. I am loving the use of brights with nude/camel. As for the socks and sandals, we were taught never to do this, but who cares! Rules were meant to be broken.

Blogger copywaitress said ... (5:50 PM) :

gorgeous!

Anonymous loolah said ... (6:08 PM) :

Funny how you have to scroll down to see the shoes, and whether they make sense of the whole (or not).

I've always loathed with a pink and purple passion those little see-through socks we called 'pop socks' but by some strange magic she manages to make them not only bearable but chic (hardly ever use that word) and they're like a little ping at the end of her outfit.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:25 PM) :

I wonder if her phone will get service once she gets back in the time machine. Is it the light or is that coat lined with orange? Nice!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:37 PM) :

I want to like this. I REALLY want to like this... but the proportions combined with the bright colors, just make the look too costume-y for me.

It's hard to pull off socks with heels, but she does it with grace! Obviously, this look isn't for everyone, but I think that despite the clashing colors, the entire look works well together.

Blogger Qiscake said ... (10:18 PM) :

I love this neutral mixed with a pop of bright colors. It's something that's really deviates the minimalistic trend we've been seeing lot, maybe a little too much.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:33 AM) :

This is way too eighties and not in a good way. A pair of nice heels does not make an outfit instantly fashionable.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:44 AM) :

She looks like a B-movie scientist run amock! I don't generally like "funny" looks, but this has such a goofy, non-desperately-attention-seeking sense of humor that it works. (THough I think the socks would be more flattering in a slightly heavier material & slightly longer length; open-knit lace crews, perhaps?)

Blogger Zaczynam Odchudzanie said ... (4:06 AM) :

Vintage and feminine. Perfect, just like from Woody Allen's movie from 80's.

Blogger Laurence John said ... (5:12 AM) :

are the oversize shoes deliberate ?
seems like the sort of touch you'd get in a fashion shoot but not in reality. i agree with the eccentric school teacher analogies above.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:17 PM) :

How can anyone NOT like this outfit?? It's perfect! Who cares if her shoes are too big, they still look awesome and hey, if she can walk in them and still make them look that fabulous then what's there to complain? I absolutely adore the color accents. This is just beyond perfection!

Blogger Tobey said ... (4:40 PM) :

This is quite amazing!

It reminded me to Marni too. Great style!

Blogger Barbara von Enger said ... (3:47 AM) :

The bright colours reminds one of afternoon beneath a Caribbean Sky. Her brown coat and bag draw the viewers eyes to the naturally nut brown colour of early Autumn - I like her spectacles. The shoe/ socks combitnation punctuates her slender legs, too. X

Inspired. In fact I am convinced this woman is a bird of paradise in disguise. Any moment she will toss the mobile, folio and glasses aside, her hair will unfurl and as she lifts her arms we will all be dazzled by her polychromatic arc of wing feathers. Yes - its that good.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:59 AM) :

the shoes are too big...the coat too. the silouette is like the one of a little girl in her mom's dress
