I 've been to Atlanta a couple of times. As a European I was very pleasantly surprised by the good mood and the kindness of people there. The smile and the ready- to help-a foreiner attitude make me not notice their clothes very much. Their good will is the most 'chic' behaviour one can find!

Anonymous Alexa said ... (8:54 PM) :

Stunning colours and beautiful lady!

http://cashmereandcandy.blogspot.com

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:12 PM) :

Her necklace is the ankh, the egyptian symbol for eternal life, not a cross...

what do you mean "a little more culture would help"

Anonymous jdit said ... (10:06 PM) :

Pride, posture, grace and integrity. The beauty is just because. Length, gentle attitude, presence and command. I would take all of that but only if wrapped up in love.

The soft subtly lit yellow of the cardigan and the accompanying golds and the contrasting complimenting color splash in her wrap are as much about the Ankh as she will always be.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:23 PM) :

wow she's incredibly beautiful

Blogger Ashley Reese said ... (10:31 PM) :

Simply gorgeous! Stunning!

Scott,

I need your help, can you tell me if it's appropriate to wear a black dress to a wedding?

I posted a picture of the 50's vintage style dress that I wanted to wear this Saturday...but don't want to commit a faux pas!

Blogger Clockwise Cat said ... (9:51 AM) :

I have seen this woman in Little Five Points before. I think she works there. She is quite beautiful.

Someone talked about how this blog only photographs slender people, and they like that.

Actually, that is my one big complaint about the blog. Not everyone's body type conforms to the slender paradigm that is so wrongly coveted in our society, and indeed, I find it bigotted that the blog only features slender people. Beautiful people come in all shapes and sizes.

Otherwise, I love the blog.

Blogger lilimarlene1 said ... (10:29 AM) :

She is an African Queen! Sart, more Black and Latina fashionistas, please!!!

I frequent New York, and the Bronx - daughter attends Fordham - and the most innovative trend setters I see are usually the aforementioned.

Hell, even the girls in their elementary school and high school Catholic-School uniforms manage to work it.

Anonymous mary said ... (10:45 AM) :

her collarbone is gorgeous w/that neckline

Anonymous Megan said ... (11:05 AM) :

somehow the colours really compliment her skin tone. the light yellow cardigan really looks good on her. Really nice flowy ensemble. Love it!!

Blogger nyc/caribbean ragazza said ... (11:11 AM) :

I adore her headwrap. Very beautiful.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:46 PM) :

her outfit is gorgeous but look at how long and elegant her arms and hands are..this woman is simply stunning.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:06 PM) :

And please keep in mind, when Scott visited Atlanta it was in the mid 90s, which translates to "hot as hell"!! So Atlantans make the best of it as demonstrated by this beautiful woman. Which is one of many I may add :)

Anonymous Lizzy said ... (1:54 PM) :

BAH! She works at my favorite store! God I'm so happy you went to Atlanta. She really does look beautiful though; I love that something that entirely covers her hair is as lovely and ornate as the complex hairstyles a lot of black women wear. Easy breezy beautiful.
