LOVE the dress!!
xo.
Love this look, especially the head wrap. Have you left London already? Oh no, I was rather hoping to get snapped by you in my new back to uni clothes, complete with a brand new, red leather satchel. Proper British!
It's interesting how she uses the prints and the similar colours in her outfit. Very cute.

The colors, the headwrap. This woman was born with style! x

I want a gorgeous necklace like that.
She's beautiful and she's got a gorgeous dress !!
Arresting! You have beautifully captured the spirit of the confident black woman. Divine.
Pride and beauty.

Great to see street style in a smaller city like Atlanta! It's good to see that fashion doesn't always + NY, Paris, and Milan...
http://silver-sage.blogspot.com/
She looks so strong & confident!
Everything works so well in this look! An her bone structure also helps a little. She is gorgeous.
Great photo.
fantastic....i like it!
Little dab of lip gloss and she's good to go...You always choose people with really nice slim figures :) Which makes their clothing choices look good I think.
Wow. I feel like she's telling a story...

Very Nice, I'd almost think you were in Savannah already..

I 've been to Atlanta a couple of times. As a European I was very pleasantly surprised by the good mood and the kindness of people there. The smile and the ready- to help-a foreiner attitude make me not notice their clothes very much. Their good will is the most 'chic' behaviour one can find!
love her cross necklace and the turban!
http://angystearoom.blogspot.com
It's a perfect cocktail of style, colors and imagination; you simply couldn't ask for anything more.
I live not too far from atlanta! i wish i was there right now :) i love it there!
thats my home! im not there now in atlanta, but just knowing that 'the scott schuman' was these in little five points warms my heart .
beautiful photo!
come by sometime,
The Ballon Rouge
Gorgeous!!!
Natural, simple,a taste of spring is still in the air.Love it.
Beautiful and regal. One has to just stop and stare at her.
I really like turbans, this photograph proves it once again.
lovely headwrap. Also loving the cross.
Loving this so much!!!!!!
The only thing I'm not mad about is the necklace. But overlall a great great great combination!!!
Such an elegant posture, beautiful shoulders and those colours are amazing!!!
Stunning! No handbag, just the creditcard, car or door keys and of course the cross! Love the cardi too.
I like the mix she has going on there...

LOVE
I love the combination dress + sweater. and the colors are great.

Love the dress.
LP5, such a scene for the unique! Atlanta really is a special and underrated city! I love how she looks very cultural with the turban and African patterned dress, yet she is holding a credit card!
Stunning...all done right.
amazing shot!love her dress
http://tiffanyssmallworld.blogspot.com
Beautiful though a little more culture would help
She is beautiful!!!!
Stunning colours and beautiful lady!
http://cashmereandcandy.blogspot.com
Her necklace is the ankh, the egyptian symbol for eternal life, not a cross...
what do you mean "a little more culture would help"
Pride, posture, grace and integrity. The beauty is just because. Length, gentle attitude, presence and command. I would take all of that but only if wrapped up in love.
The soft subtly lit yellow of the cardigan and the accompanying golds and the contrasting complimenting color splash in her wrap are as much about the Ankh as she will always be.
wow she's incredibly beautiful
Simply gorgeous! Stunning!
Scott,
I need your help, can you tell me if it's appropriate to wear a black dress to a wedding?
I posted a picture of the 50's vintage style dress that I wanted to wear this Saturday...but don't want to commit a faux pas!
http://lisapetrarca.blogspot.com/2010/09/fashion-police-i-need-help.html
absolutely incredible!
Love the uniquely African American take on traditional African dress
Man, I was just in Atlanta too. Must have just missed you. Great city.
Love all the color and the prints are fantastic.
http://leeoliveira.com
Picture is great :). I like dress.
Oh! those shoulders! and her posture! I finally understand how my own wide wide shoulders could be beautiful. She's stunning and so much of it is in the way she carries herself.
Love the turban and necklace.
http://streetstylebystela.blogspot.com
The dress makes her appear to be 15 ft tall, or is she?
She has such a good posture! Confident and at ease.

she looks so beautiful and natural
http://theutterlyinspired.blogspot.com/
No words can explain, how much I love this outfit!
What a graceful and powerful woman! (And I love the mix of elements in her look.)
I have to know what her shoes were like...please..!
she's so beautiful!

it's soooo erykah badu!
Genial!
The look on her face, her burnish skin, the bankcard in her hand. The print and headwrap. Cool.
Oh wow! Ethnic, elegant, and look at her posture, perfect! Beautiful colour combo too. Looks like she doesn't have a scrap of make-up on, nor does she need any.
Beautiful with the cross of life (or cross of Atum) like a goddess.
it's sooo erykah badu!!
She's naturally beautiful. I love the no makeup with the headscarf. She really pulls it off.
Very nice combination, beautiful colours!
I sooooooooooo love that you've been feauturing a lot more black women on the site. She is beautiful. Not loving the outfit, but the headwrap rocks and her skin is beautiful.
The colors complement her beautifully!:)
Follow my blog at http://fortheloveoffashionandotherthings.blogspot.com
I have seen this woman in Little Five Points before. I think she works there. She is quite beautiful.
Someone talked about how this blog only photographs slender people, and they like that.
Actually, that is my one big complaint about the blog. Not everyone's body type conforms to the slender paradigm that is so wrongly coveted in our society, and indeed, I find it bigotted that the blog only features slender people. Beautiful people come in all shapes and sizes.
Otherwise, I love the blog.
She is an African Queen! Sart, more Black and Latina fashionistas, please!!!
I frequent New York, and the Bronx - daughter attends Fordham - and the most innovative trend setters I see are usually the aforementioned.
Hell, even the girls in their elementary school and high school Catholic-School uniforms manage to work it.
her collarbone is gorgeous w/that neckline
somehow the colours really compliment her skin tone. the light yellow cardigan really looks good on her. Really nice flowy ensemble. Love it!!
I adore her headwrap. Very beautiful.
her outfit is gorgeous but look at how long and elegant her arms and hands are..this woman is simply stunning.
And please keep in mind, when Scott visited Atlanta it was in the mid 90s, which translates to "hot as hell"!! So Atlantans make the best of it as demonstrated by this beautiful woman. Which is one of many I may add :)
love your attn to detail as always.
www.citizette.com
She is just perfect to a very tiny little detail! Have you noticed the rings? the posture?
I like a lot the warmth of yellow.
Great!
please keep posting atlanta shots! they are wonderful.
striking.

I love this photograph so much. She's so beautiful.
Love her shoulders. she could dress what she wants with her harmony of body shape
Wow!
she defies "fashion" and epitomizes real beauty. lovely.
Serenely beautiful.....
...that's an old school erykah badu look ! love it
give me this lady's grace and innate style over Anna dello russo fashion-victim silliness any day. Style, not fashion, is what matters..
What a brilliant articulation of patterns! She owns this look. You can see it in her posture.
This is how to rock a turban.
Magnifique!!!
She looks a million feet long, so slender and perfect.
fashionable atlanta! love it!
this is right across the street from my apartment! simply stunning.
Love it. Like I can look at this photo an hour long.
BAH! She works at my favorite store! God I'm so happy you went to Atlanta. She really does look beautiful though; I love that something that entirely covers her hair is as lovely and ornate as the complex hairstyles a lot of black women wear. Easy breezy beautiful.
great shot

I have the Ankh sign as a tattoo. love it, how it completes her beautiful outfit...
Inspiring work, thank you!
