love them!
Ooh I know the girl at the top - and she looks so, so cute!!

fresh, young, lovely!
It's the scarf in first picture and the bag in the second that make these looks - all in the details. Love it.
welcome to the 70s!

I love the way the 1st girl wears her scarf in her hair. I wonder if Hermès thought about this one for its J'aime mon carré website?
Cute denim looks you've got there Scotty!
How Lovely
Woooouuu!! I love the bag!!
http://mamaquemepongo.blogspot.com/
I am in love with the button-up skirt in the first image.
One of the most fascinating aspects of the modern world of fashion is how designers try to bring something new two to four times a year (if not more) and on the other hand, the public use so-called 'timeless' pieces, or pieces from different eras, then mix-&-match them. To a large extent, this is where street-style bloggers have a role to play: they can show which of the old pieces are seen again and can start new trends.

The first pic looks like Winnie from the Wonder Years
I love the second picture. She is all about energy!
One of the best reasons to buy an iPad is the ability to enlarge your photos with a pinch of my fingers and really take in all of the details. I love how the first girl has matched the Twilly in her hair with her nail polish (or vice versa!) and her well-loved LV bag just adds to the '70's vibe. She's proof you don't need to dress expensively to dress well, especially in your '20's!
The pink bag is amazing...love this outfit!"

i love the skirt. she looks so fresh and sophisticated. i really think its the scarf at the end of her braid that gives me this impression.
Think the 70's denim style is awsome! What do you think about adding clogs to those outfits? Please leave a comment ^
My favorite thing about both of these looks are the splashes of color: the orange scarf on the first girl and the pink panel-ed bag on the second. They make the looks modern and fresh. So cute!

I love the denim and the shoe combinations. Shows that you can do so much more than just jeans and make it chic.

The innocence of that first lot of denim for the girls of the 70s--it was distinctive in colour and feel and there was something magical and liberating about it.
love the head scarf in the first one!
I want her schoolbag!!

Love the 1st look!
Apart from the shoes I'm really loving this look.
Oops, two pictures. I was referring to the shoes and the look on the bottom picture.
Love how these two have accessorized their outfits.
Denim options for women are haute.

The denim is such a good blank canvas for the pops of color - the scarf in the first and the bag in the second.

denim is making its presence once again. Love it

I love these denim outfits, I remember travelling through Europe in my denim dress in the '70's and trying to wash it out in the tub at night. (Not advisable. I love the tattoo on her shoulder with the off the shoulder thin sweater underneath the dress. That's cool.
great post :)
Great use of denim by both. Love the buttons on the skirt.

Just when you thought the 70's had died (again). In truth i think the 70's were a super-sexualized period and make good fashion inspiration. I hope people never stop dressing like this (glad to see 70's throwbacks are going strong for a 3rd decade). Once again good observations Scott!
wondeful outfits
love the girl on the first picture!
http://sweetlittleconfessions.blogspot.com/
It's interesting to see denim being used in something besides jeans.
www.theafeminada.blogspot.com

So its true- denim is the new black! Haha
I adore these looks. And the scarf-in the-hair look? Might try one day. Very earthy/fresh and distinctive all at the same time. Whatever that means... (:
I like the pink lunch pale like purse. Dope stuff.

oh, i love it!
its wonderful.
this is fashion for every body.
thats a dream. <3
These denim girls are adorable. i especially enjoy the top photo. A seventies twist. Cuteness.
love the first one a lot! creates the mood :)
Would love to know where to buy a dress like the one in the second picture. Anyone know? (I think there was a lovely Stella McCartney one with buttons down the front but I'm hoping for something a little less pricey!)
love them both
http://vernisaongle.blogspot.com
What's funny is my favorite part of the outfits is not the denim but the choice of shirts to go with them. In the first photo I love that turtle-neck, it somehow gives off a vintage yet modern at the same time. In the second photo, how sexy is that off the shoulder sweater under that jumper?! Amazing!
Wow! Denim looking so fresh! I'm really loving the'70's vibe here, and the ease.
I love the girl at the top - she is gorgeous. But those knees.......!! I think that knees have to be perfect before they are shown off, and they just can't be blotchy or saggy or bumpy or ugly in any way. I know that if you'd taken her picture sitting down, I'd never have made these comments, as it's probably just the way she's standing that makes her knees look ugly.
Otherwise she's exquisite, with the scarf in her hair and the nails and lipstick pulling it all together with the denim.
loving all that denim :) i definitely need to get a denim dress for summer :)
http://faialofa.blogspot.com
"Ring My Bell" by Anita Ward 1979..that would be the PERFECT soundtrack if they were walking the runway! Love the denim and the looks are A++++mazing and wickedly cool!

these girls are freakin' adorable. :)
is that natalie???
it's so lovely
i lovin it
I like the 70's, and to know for next spring it will be in stores, make me happy. I like both looks. The wearability is here, denim is perfect.
thank you for saying this is 70's! i was so annoyed this summer to see lines like Stella McCartney's and others with all of the denim and calling it new. not only was it not new, it was unattractive, and a far cry from creativity or innovation.
Oh, what sunny pictures. Is it really still so sunny in NY?

LUXURY!
i love the black/hot pink bag... !

I love the Denim on this girls!!! I met some girls a while back, who were wearing Denim and all sort of scarves, colors, they were intriguing and mysterious!

I like the first. The pretty girl really rocked the simple denim skirt.
I find most of your photographs inspiring, but not these two. Frumpy, ill-fitting clothes, nasty accessories ...

Both outfits look very cute, except for the shoes. They're just not working. Neither is that pink and black lunch pail.

I love the Bag in the second picture!! Pink and black. Cute size too!
It is really interesting, the first girl was photographed by Vanessa Jackman too!! You can find a photo of her on
http://www.luckymag.com/style/streetstyle/2010/03/spring_streetstyle#slide=12
she is the 12th in the slide-show. She is wearing the same shoes and hair accessory. Check it out.
The first picture is so sweet!!! I love how she tie her hair, so relaxing...
I LOVE NEW YORK!
The first girl is effortless!! I love how you always capture that in people. It's truly an art.
The top girl is Natalie, of Canned Fashion:
http://www.cannedfashion.com/
and she's absolutely lovely. And a friend of mine.
So Scott when are we going to see Jazmine's shot? I hope it came out well. Pinkish tie dye maxi @ Somerset House. Good to see you, hope Milan's fun - and Paris.
