Comments on "On the Street...15th St., NYC"
The man in the yellow has such a stronger presence than the man in green, even though his outfit is a bit more subdued. It makes me want to know more about him.
i love the rolled up jeans with those loafers. nice shot :)

These two look great. Comfy, yet stylish and with good pops of color. Love the fatigue trucker hat too!

I love his shoes!
The picture would be perfect if it weren't for the way the man in the front wears his cap
are you kidding??!
he looks beautiful.
love his shoes and the accesories he's sporting (especially his anklets)
They both look great individually, but together - all that color is just superb!!
Penny loafers and a camo hat.....smiles....
LOVE THEM (L)
yes yes yes yes yes yes yes.
per
fect.
Love the colors of these outfits. The guy on the left in the green shirt and rolled up jeans is my fav.

Their styles are so great! I like the shoes of man with the green shirt...

from the waist up he looks like a young urban dude, but from the waist down he looks like a very cool middle aged woman.
love the guy with the glasses...cool composition of the picture
I prefer elegance or rugged masculinity. The rolled jeans, bare ankles, & baseball cap perched on top leave me absolutley cold.
Great!!! Street fashion!
His left ankle! I also love the touch of color on the band of his watch. the whole ensamble is obviously effortless
Love this! Very Fresh Prince of Bel-Air!
I absolutely love this!
So, I need to know.... This hat does not look ridiculous ? Call me delusional, I do not get this outfit at all
is that ommas keith?
looks just like em.

that green is amazing. also, it's been a while since i've seen an ankle bracelet look good!

The shoes on the man on the right are rich. Great color. Were it not for the shirt he's wearing below that khaki jacket, i'd like the look.
I'm sorry, but the guy in the middle looks like a mess. I like the green hue, but that's it.
I love that cardigan! It's from The Gap, a few years ago.
http://www.davidlamonline.com
My favourite image for ages! The effortless cool. Check out his ankle.
so AWESOME! who are these people?!
What can I say...I love the loafers...such a surprise as I scrolled down! XO Valerie

Love the rolled up jeans with loafers and also the way he has his cap. x
www.FashionSnag.com
I think those are the skinniest ankles I've ever seen.
am not usually a fan of the "cap-on-backwards" look, but this guy has tilted it in a way that looks pretty good - adds to his very regal face. his shoes are gorgeous
I love this-- classic, relaxed, casual, and fun! bravo!
Ha ! Les dandys ! Love it !

I like the guy in the green shirt, it looks fresh out of the package. And with that camo hat, it looks great. I like the ankle bracelets too.
really cool Pictures....

fantastico
Sart, I love your ecclectic eye. The things you like open our minds! Please don't ever stop. Love you man. Alvah..........
Purple loafers?? Wow!
http://red-soledfashionista.blogspot.com/
Gansta! They be stylin'
i LOVE the mix of street fashion mixed in with runways with these posts. I also love the man in the camel jacket and the hint of the patterned shirt underneath. It's the perfect on trend shout out to the 70s but simultaneously keeping it current.
I don't have to love everyone's outfit to appreciate the sense of being comfortable with your own style and OWNING it. Both of these men do that.
AMAZING
http://fabulouslifeofdiogotorres.blogspot.com/
my word, I love this photo.
Rich, dense...
oolala, too much too comment on, so I will just point out that the string ankle bracelet with the loafers puts it over the edge.
hes handsome. i like those tall skinny men. i like the gold he is wearing. he definetly creats something of his own with this look.
lusting his style (on the left) The shoes and the cropped pants are my fav part :)
www.lovelywanderlust.com
Love the mixes here... and the man in front makes his hat look like a crown. Nice.
They're so striking! I love it, and their style/attitudes!
Slim guy we've seen before here--and called him a prince as we inquired about the jersey cuff peeking out of his jacket. No? And rakish headwear made into a crown then, too.
wow, the guys look like from "Coming to America" :)
They are Abdoul Diallo (left) and Mobolaji Dawodu (right), part of the style team at the FADER magazine and two of the coolest, realest ppl in NYC
Dont really find either of them very stylish but thats just me
http://www.iamaltamoda.com/
How cool are they?
Finally a different type of stype being shot : ) good job sartorialist!
I love the splash of military the hat adds flavor.
Those are some cool cats right there xxx
http://reallyliteral.blogspot.com/
what a ool mixture of old and new school on the guy in the green shirt. amazing.
Danielle is right about the guy in yellow though.
Ilove how you always find such characters.
Have a great weekend.
There is something that draws me in to the photo...Perhaps it the guy in the green with his subtle coolness...Casual Chic ...I love it!
I like the style of the man in green better.
http://jenkz.tumblr.com/
I love the way their coats communicate to each other: the green colour stands for youth, while the yellow for maturity!
Thank you for this shot!
The ankle bracelet is praticular, but in these mixed styles I prefer only the man on left shoes , so "bon ton"
love the shoes!
I have to disagree again. The outfit on the left makes the guy look like a clown.
Great styles !!! Love it ;)
http://elleandco.blogspot.com
I like a lot... even if I'm a little bit scared by the little I see of the shirt of the man on the right... *_*'
http://www.isthisitmodelsreview.com/
God, I want his ankles.
great picture!

this man is so gorgeous (green)
Love the green shirt and the loafers.
dear scott you can always find the soul of the street
Brother got style. Talk about cool.
Two days ago I've watched "House Party" with Martin Lawrence.
I can see, that the old-school style is still alive.
The guy with the green shirt has a great watch! It is like a cool vintage but with a (probably) self made band - absoloutely creative and ironic...
I like the way he wears his jeans and I just love the brown shoes but I son't really like the hat...
I really adore the green man's loafers pair up with his blue jeans..... GREAT MIX!!
Typical NYC style. :) it's cool.
Must we always become so hung up on what Scott is trying to say? Just look at this photograph in its entirety!
The colors in the background, the sun beginning to drop, the rich and varied hues of color the two gentleman are wearing. Height variations and poses of the two men. I could go on and on. Sometimes it not all about the clothing!
A beautifully composed photograph. Thank you Scott for sharing beauty.
Some of you are really silly, This is a perfect example of personal style. The man in the green is wearing the most simple pieces - jeans, loafers, button up but in a personal creative fun way. Bravo! I LOVE!
Oh baby. Why aren't their stylish men like this in my city!! I categorically hate rolled pants and loafers but I'm almost willing to excuse them for this gentleman. And the guy in back personifies taking a look that can be hard to swing without looking overly retro and making it work because you're confident in your own skin. Bravo.
The photos/clothes are always wonderful on the blog - but when you catch a feeling, the feeling of being in the presence of these people, when the photo conveys some kind of atmosphere, when it intrigues, when I want to know more about these people - that's amazing photography. This photo is amazing photography.
ha. looks kinda cool, in a way :)
http://yopoetry.wordpress.com
Some photos on the blog are observations of trends, of expensive, high fashion. But what I love is the real people - not the moneyed perfection, rather when a photo catches the style, the lifestyle, of someone. These men are fabulous.
They are real.
Great looks, great picture.
kick ass NYC cool.
Abdoul is king! Bape, Hugo, Gap and ACNE! So Fun. Praises due. GIVE THIS MAN SOME RECOGNITION!
Wearin' it (camo) high & tight!
some of the best dressed men i've seen in a long time
The shoes on the guy in the green shirt are off the hook.
windowshop78.blogspot.com
Ah a man who has rolled up his jeans at the ankles! Finally. Looks great.

These guys look so stylish. The guy in the green especially knows how to put together classics in a very unique way.
What I am confused about are some of the comments. Why do we have to think of the "Fresh Prince of Bel Aire" or "Coming to America". I've watched both, and I am not seeing the similarities, except for the skin color.
Not feeling the camo snap back. Other than that I love the combination and placement of the accessories on the young man on the left. The man on the right, as someone mentioned, has a very nice presence. His shoes are great too.
I wear my jeans rolled up like that all the time!!!

That Theophilus London swag...
Too cool!
No Theophilus London swag, Abdoul been doing this. 2X on the Sart, GOOD LOOK BRO!
fresh

Love it! It's like time warp; The guy to the left makes me think of the 90s and the guy on the right screams 70s! Imagine what a morph of these to decades would manifest in an outfit!
that guy on the right looks SO familiar. i think he's an artist of some type. love this hot by the way. i think i'll try the jeans and loafers look. :)
Seriously, two of my favorite dudes in NYC!!
<3
cool!

Abdoul Diallo, the fella on the left!
You can see his ankle bracelets again here in the photo; I believe he's a fashion contributor to Fader Magaznie. Check him here:

I moved from the east village 15 years ago. Recently, when I go back, I notice a more conservative style and miss people dressing like this. Great work guys. Keep it up!

Can't wait til their record drops.

I think the 'Trad' look has jumped the shark.
I Love Streetstyle NYC!!!))
Think there style is a little forced
http://streetetiquette.com/
Yea, the cap is unexpected. But so are the penny loafers...
I had the pleasure of seeing the younger gentleman in person during NYFW. He was sitting front row at the Y3 show. His presence is soo sweet and innocent. I definitely want to keep seeing his face ;)
oh gooooood :)
Far too cool. I feel intimidated just looking at the photo.
Love this green color. I don't see it much
So Sick, camo hat, denim, shoes. perfect street style, hes killing it.
I love it! He was able to successfully reinvent an urban 90's hip hop look into something that is still fresh and modern.
They just look so cool, I want to be their friend!
nice color ,relax, good proportion just perfect ..very fresh out of the package!!! love xx

Cool, Happy Go Lucky Style.... i wouldnt mind hanging out with these 2 cuties. <3

there goes mobolaji again!
keepin' it real. :-)
*g
Oh man, he could t be more cool!
A very artistic shot. The camo, the diagonal stripes, the tall and shorter, one facing and the other turned. These guys look like thinkers and I'd really like to hear one of their conversations. The shot would also be good converted to paint - in a loose style, not too precise. It's just good, without needing a lot of explanation. Their fashion is their own. It hasn't been dictated to them, I think.
These guys run a style blog called http://streetetiquette.com/
^These gents do not run street etiquette, different guys.
Cool as...
Team Fader! Mobolaji has some of the best eyes in the business.
