Loving the brilliant colours and geometric patterns!!

YES!!! Thanks so much Scott! I was dying to see those Shoes!!!
This show was so beautiful it was more than visually stimulating but it moved you. I called it Fashion of the Opera. Wonderful images as always.
Simply stunning. Even before the current FW trend, Marc has always designed clothes for the woman. Looks like this might be one of my favourite collections from him.
Thanks for sharing these.

i love this! the patterns and the flowy fabrics and such. wow just the kind of look i wanted to see.
The colors are so vibrant and sort of life-affirming after the neutral tones for this fall. The unfortunate part is that it makes me look forward to a time which is a whole season away!

Marc always blows my mind.
I believe this is my favourite collection of him.
So 70's, so studio 54, so Bianca Jagger, so colorful, so happy!
Loved it!

Thanks Scott for sharing these wonderful photos. I am still gushing about this collection. The color palate was amazing. So feminine and the dresses just flowed wonderfully when I watched the show. Looks like we might be seeing a lot of hats in the future. My dream of photographing a Marc Jacobs show one day is still in my mind. Keep dreaming I tell myself ....lol.
Thanks again.

Orange + Pink = Perfect
Marc Jacobs Collection is my favorite New York Collection so far. Color stories are rich, garments are fabulous, 70´s inspired look with slight twist and humor is just stunning! Thank you for sharing photos of the moments!

Thank you for representin' !!! Love and kisses from a brown-skinned girl - woot!!!
Marc Jacobs is really one of the smartest designers I have ever seen..
he has such resiliency that you can never take his designs as a " Deja Vu " but also you can never miss the playful sense of sarcasm in his work ..
I might have admired his collections for the smartness & sharpness laying within ... only an objective admiration.. but this collection ; I am totally biasing for.. I am in love .
These fashion icons will lead the style of us.
Absolutely Gorgeous...THE SHOES, omg!
I loved everything except the little jumper with the round booby patches!LOL!
http://lisapetrarca.blogspot.com/2010/09/one-of-boys-blank-magazine.html
Gorgeous!
Oh so very 70s - gorgeous!
Love the bold colours, and how you captured the textures & movement beautifully!
Can I have one of everything?! Except the shorts. I don't do those... Marc Jacobs is genius!!! Thank you for the photos!
J'adore, je suis folle de ce début!!!!
Ces tissus graphiques et ces couleurs sont superbes! j'ai déjà envie de rentrer dans l'une de ces robes!
Merci pour cette mise en bouche!
Beautiful, feminine, vibrant, and different. Love this collection.

So the word is big.
very very strong Saint Laurent influence, especially in photos 6,7 and 9. The cut, the colors : I have seen them in the old YSL catalogues my mother received in the late 80's. Love it.
Very good pictures. Interesting and beautiful. Telling the story of fashion. Nice to see you're much more allround than those street-pictures may suggest.
good grief - just striking shapes and colours, fantastico - wal

The yellow shirt with the pink skirt!
Beautiful...
Thank you!
Watched the show but seeing it through your eyes gives the clothes a whole other life. Thank you.
It´s Wonderfool!!!! What color, What styling!!! All is Fantastic!!!!

What a great show, powerful color/shape/cut. I like the last dress, it's feminine and nice to see.
Love the nuances!
The velvet dress and the yellow top !

those legs are just WOW
absolutely breathtakingly stunning

I adore Marc
The collection look very Sonia Rykiel-ish to me but I like it. And it's great that Marc hired black models for his show. Beautiful pictures!
Ah yes...if only I could travel back in time and rescue my high school/ college wardrobe, especially what I wore out to the disco...

Gorgeous collection! The colors are so vibrant and stunning.
I love this partly because it's not at all what I was expecting. Love the unexpected contrast of the super bright, almost retro Hawaiian clothes against the film noir hair, makeup and lighting. And those platform shoes are gorgeous!

Lines and patterns... Absolutely wonderful. And beautiful, beautiful photography!
Love and Love! This is how it's done, with Love!
Thank you for that second shot. Made my day.
This was a simply amazing collection. I am always excited to see what Marc Jacobs produces each season for the three lables and he never disappoints. The feeling I got when watching the show has been unmatched by any other collections I have seen so far for the SS11 season. This collection was stunning.
http://therealfstop.blogspot.com
As always Marc Jacobs has created the best collection. It's great to see the long dresses, just like from 70's.
Gorgeous collection. So flowy and feminine.
STUNNING! PERFECT COLLECTION!
The colour - the shoes aaahhhhhh - thanks Scott! x
the women look so powerful. what a gorgeous show - particularly the drape and flow of the patterns.
Very 70's YSL

beautiful prints .... and combination of colours
http://treintaomas.wordpress.com/
Colors, Wohoo. Just for those colors alone, I love this collection.
Oh, the floweriness! Beautiful. I ooed and ahhed bigger with each one.
Beautiful colors indeed but total lack of creativity.Copying patterns from other decades is by no means creation.
Inspiration is one thing completely different.
there's something a little taxi driver about the 8th picture, maybe??

Gosh, how beautiful - I've not seen a show by Marc Jacobs for a while that shows so much of his trademark vibrancy. Particularly love the wide brimmed hat, purple crochet top and flowers in the fifth photograph down. Thank you for the great photos!
love all those fabrics very nice collection.....
Magnificent colors and movement expressing the movement and fertility of spring. Marc is a genius. Thank you for the marvelous images.
Love that last dress! Love the colors.
Offers different colors for the spring season, I like the shoes, bags and accessories, very gorgeous and elegant.
Thanks

http://outervalues.blogspot.com
once again a fabolous collection by the one and only marc jacobs. gorgeous vibrant colours. Great !! Times like these i wish i lived in New York
http://insidemyheadandwardronbe.blogspot.com/
I love these! They transcend the "genre" of runway photos, and accentuate a truly artistic flair...
Very Jody Foster/Taxi Driver. Glad to see that Marc has continued to design for women, rather than teenage/20-something girls. The patterns are great.
I love it all. The colour, the shape, The accessories are amazing. I love the slouchy dresses with the giant low slung belts- going to be a wonderful post-pregnancy look for me to imitate. Very 70's of course. I love the little geometric prints that he is so famous for.

BELLISSIMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would wear every single one of these to death. Kudos, Marc!
Abeutiful collectiona nd amzing images...wow!!
http://fashiondoesntexist.blogspot.com/
2nd is really great photo.
I love it.
Geez, Scott. You are making me envious! I wanna photograph that show!! What fantastic photographs. The colors in his collection are too stunning for words. Only pictures (yours) do the job of conveying their beauty.
Wow, beautiful pictures! That red dress with the 'metal necklace' is lovely.
And of course The Hats!
http://cestsuperbe.etsy.com
Just awesome !!
Quite beautiful.
I do feel like I've been teleported back to a late 60s/early 70s fashion show though.
Fabulous,
Santa Claus, can I have this black legs for Xmas??? :-)
Merci de nous transporter au coeur des défilés
LOVE LOVE LOVE MJ
My favorite thing about this show is that the women don't look completely emaciated. These women look fit and spartan, athletic...not like they're about to collapse of arrythmia, which has been the fashion in the fashion world for quite some time now...
But onto the fashion itself...awesome. Like A Clockwork Orange meets the year 1968.
Isn't this kind of a literal redo of Biba (with a a bit of Halston). Its super pretty but all this retro-mining is a little tedious.
Can't wait till spring! ^^
Gorgeous colors. Hope to see them on the streets next year.
www.thesluicebox.com
i really love how they use bags and purses for accessory in the runway. made me wanna look at their photos closely and longer =)
*thumbs up*
stunning work Scott!
Finally a designer using more than on black model...
Amazing pics, shoes, colours and patterns!!
LOVED IT!
http://filtroba.blogspot.com/
The colors are perfect and your photos really bring the models to life.
www.FashionSnag.com
The colors and textures are fantastic. Absolutely love. This collection is derivative as hell, but everything is so beautiful.
What's also interesting is that the 1970s, I believe, is when black models were being used more often. Appropriate, I guess. And very lovely.
Genial la colección de Marc Jacobs, me gustan los colores!! y los sombreros son maravillosos.
i love all of this. your work is amazing, sart.
He can mix the colors almost like the great Ives Saint Laurent(whose exposition at the Petit Palais in Paris this summer was gorgeous).
BRAVO!
Love this collection! So vivid, fun, and feminine!
www.rachaeldiab.blogspot.com
This is some of the BEST WORK he has ever done!!! Love it!
So good to see black models on the runway !
oh Marc, i love it! the collection is just too fab. love the ethnic vibe!
All really wonderful creations. I just always have a problem with platform shoes, even moderate ones. I'm always wondering why, why those blocks under the toes? Is it just me?
I loved this collection, I'm a fan of long dresses, they make so much sense in the summer, the breeze floats through them and they look super no matter what.
Wow! Some of this shots are incredibly amazing! They dont look at all directly from the catwalk! Great Work Scott!
great shotsLoving the brilliant colours
this collection looks great.
so fresh.
http://jimjims.net
These peices are soo gorgeous I soo love the pattern, color and textures, soo amazing....MARC JACOBS did an excellent job!!!
Marc Jacobs is moving leaps and bounds and is very unapologetic about his success because he has the scars to prove the dues are paid. Kudos to him!
When did calf muscles go out of style?
Clothes and photos are lovely, but those stick-legs...
such a great collection!
http://loresfashion.blogspot.com
I feel as though there is something magical happening here. The color scheme is incredible!
Wow.

LOVE IT!!!
Wouah! MJ did a wonderful work and black models wear his creation "à la perfection". Love your pics Scott!
I love seeing runway photos with more depth and interest than the face-on style.com ones.
Beautiful collection and I must say I absolutely LOVE that 2nd photo!!
I loved these clothes when YSL did them in 1972...Marc is mining this vein til it gives out.
The colours are so vibrant against the models skin!
www.theafeminada.blogspot.com
Love Marc Jacobs...simply gorgeous and wearable!
Hey Scot! Thanks for sharing these fantastic photos. Here I love the slouchy dresses with the giant low slung belts, It's something new with different tradition, It's really so marvelous design.
Easy Feminity,Nice patterns, lovely colors, shoes, hats ...Je t'aime
So elegant & different... seems to be my favorite designer for this next season...!!
crossingredlines
sonia rykiel meets saint laurent??
well, i'm really not a marc's fan...
I am the biggest Marc Jacobs fan ever! I love both of his lines. He is a genius. I love the colors and want every single piece right now. Wearing color in the fall and spring is my favorite thing to do.
I think this is a 1975-80 collection, too literal, nothing new to look at.
Wonderful photos of a fabulous collection of upcoming fashion, colour and flowing forms.
We've just edged into Spring here in Australia, so it's great to see these images and be inspired to look forward to our soon-coming warm weather and Summer and all its joys! Yay!
Much thanks, ciao, L. in Oz.
Those women are FIERCE.
great models!
Great shots!
Those colors and pattern are incredible together.
Love the second and fifth photo. Gorgeous.
There's no doubt that Marc Jacobs is channeling Yves Saint Laurent in his Spring 2011 RTW Collection. Bold lacquer colors for pant suits and Seventies wide sleeved Spring coats ( which are themselves throw backs to the Forties Busby Berkeley musicals) seem to buck the trend at this year's NY Fashion Week. The problem is that these pieces come off as being a bit like costumes. You should wear your clothes and not the other way around.
Nevertheless, the collection is beautiful if not overly nostalgic. What? Is that Donna Summer I hear in the background?
that's stunning!
The brilliant colors, with so many different patterns... flowing forms and wonderfull shoes!
This men do really Know how to make a woman fell unique!
www.clickheretobechic.com
Great photos!!
love to see artistic images from fashion shows, looks so much more interesting than the usual report-pics! amazing colours too.
This is a visual feast. Thanks for sharing these with those of us who will never be connected well enough to get to Fashion Week. It is something I dream of constantly. This collection is truly thrilling. In stark contrast to the dull and peculiar assortment of resort wear offered up on the last Project Runway challenge.
What I love about Marc Jacobs is that everything's new but still you can totally recognize the house's ''specialties''.
I'm in love with picture 2!!
fashion-rules-dont-exist.blogspot.com
Pour a bit of the great Walter Albini, A shot of '78s Sonia Rykiel, sprinkle with '70s François Lamy's aesthetics and "voila!!!!", the great(?) Jacobs's trouvaille... just a FORGETTABLE cocktail!
I have just follow in love with the first dress!!! It´s amazing!!
Love ur blog!!

Carmen from http://modavsdecoracion.blogspot.com
Very Marissa Berenson circa 1973 w/ a little Jodie Foster from "Taxi Driver".
Best thus far -
Simon Spurr 2011 (the orange and white was so chic)
Michael Bastian - Black with yellow accents - brilliant, evokes "body glove" scuba dive gear to a more sophisticated level
Robert Geller - Cubano with leather, hippie meets early Americano, tassles and ties...
http://thegentlemansgentleman.tumblr.com/
Gorgeous patterns and colors as usual. A fantastic collection . . . All except that sweater with the BOOB TARGETS! That's sure to end up on the sale racks. For someone who designs some of the best looking womenswear I've seen, he sure missed the mark with that piece. Maybe he was going for whimsical, but I'd just feel uncomfortable wearing that sweater.

oh! i LOVE fashion! especially when it's like this. I'm getting a flapper vibe from a whole different direction.color, texture, skin and style...de-lovely!
I am DYING over that stunning otherworldly brown leg!!! What a gorgeous shot! Loving all the hats as well.
all hail marc jacobs
Amazing color story and the prints....WOW! Beautiful!
I love these looks from the runway. It's so refreshing to see such vibrant colors and patterns.
oh wow, that purple flowing ensemble is off the charts!! Love it.
this collection is just awesome!
All truly gorgeous! Am loving the big hats again.
marc jacobs never fails!

The man simply can do no wrong.
He is genius, only few can pull up outfits & colors as he does!
the model in the first picture is STUNNINGLY beautiful
black girls in studio 54 looks, with beautiful mile long legs? outlandishly fabulous!!
*sP
those prints are YUMMY!!
I LOVE this 70's interpretation. Perfectly fabulous
back to the seventies we go ...
Awesome sunglasses on picture 9!
not a fan of MJ but have to say this collection is lovely
http://sheenatschangstyling.blogspot.com/
That's why I love this man. x. Manu
I say just: This is sooooo GOLDFRAPP!
omg... can i please have those girl's legs. . .
Love these, they seem like the next level.
Fruity, lively and complete are the words that describe the collection in the best way, in my opinion.
Lovely!
Stunning... you really took me to this event through your photography. Gorgeous colors, truly breathtaking. I was captured from the very first one.
Incredible collection of shots! LOVE the profiles of the girl in heels and the girl in a sunhat - exquisite.
How great !!
I especially love the photo that showed only the model's legs. The contrast of her skintone with the gold shorts were amazing
Great shots at unusual runway angles. The shapes of the clothes are beautiful but not crazy about the patterns.
These women are like Grace Jones. I like her!

I love Marc Jacobs. The color palate of this line is retro and sophisticated.
That being said, I think the actual garments are hideous. They do nothing to give form or shape, they are not interesting OR flattering. There seems to be an overabundance of fabric or an underwhelming lack of concern for what would actually be flattering to the female form or be sculpturally interesting.
I can appreciate the artistry of creating a comprehensive and cohesive collection. However I find this completely lacking in the sophistication and poise which Marc Jacobs usually produces.
waou!!! how much i would have enjoyed being at this show! everything is so "féminin", colours, fluidity, n elegant simplicity... Jacobs has done a terrific work for this season! i particularly like the second pic, these shoes associated to these beatiful legs, it's so..strong! thank you Marc
reminds me of the editorial work of 1970's fashion photographer Sarah Moon.
