Blogger Que Sara Sara. said ... (7:09 AM) :

Beautiful! Though she's a tad bit skinny for my liking. And the belt that adds that little bit of detail to the presentation. It almost looks like she's floating! That grey and greyish champagne colour combination.

Blogger culturcated said ... (7:13 AM) :

this is the most beautiful dress I've seen for a long time....

Blogger Liv said ... (7:15 AM) :

I like how simple but still how worked the dress is, beautiful details. It's almost a bit origami-like.

Anonymous Alexandra H said ... (7:15 AM) :

Gorgeous dress, no I think Stunning would be a better word. If I had the figure I'd wear that dress to death!

But am I the only one that wonders why her toes are so far over the front of her shoes?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:16 AM) :

Absolutely beautiful and fairy-like.
I agree, it's a stunner!

The dress is gorgeous.

Though I'd think it would look even better on a woman with some curves and fitting shoes.

Blogger Unknown said ... (8:10 AM) :

Blogger Café Naïveté said ... (8:29 AM) :

Blogger Evelyn said ... (8:30 AM) :

I think it's funny how her toes are touching the ground ...

But nonetheless, that dress is lovely in every way!

Blogger Laura Trevey said ... (8:30 AM) :

breathtaking... simply stunning!

Anonymous Dana said ... (8:34 AM) :

Elegant!!

Anonymous Catherine said ... (8:34 AM) :

Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi are talented. The collection is ethnic and wearable because it's minimalist.
I like the dress, bohemian look with a smart modernity!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:43 AM) :

Love the dress but look at the shoes! They are way to small!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:45 AM) :

I love the movement captured in this photo. Beyond that, I'm just staring at her rail-thin figure. For me, it's distracting, and not in the most positive of ways.

Blogger Bella HaHay said ... (8:54 AM) :

I love the dress esp. when there's movement in it :))

Blogger ingefaer said ... (9:01 AM) :

It is a beautiful dress - and a beautiful photo - it would look REALLY great on woman with a bit of healthy curves. This girl is just TOO skinny.

Anonymous Purses Pastries Etc... said ... (9:12 AM) :

Gorgeous photo and dress! I'd love to own it but for now at least I'll settle for drawing it :)

Blogger Zaczynam Odchudzanie said ... (9:17 AM) :

It's true. Preen has one of the most sophisticated collections, now.

Anonymous Emma Bredberg said ... (9:25 AM) :

I love how her skin and the dress almost becomes one ..

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:43 AM) :

Stunning!
Bit concerned about the slant of the heel on the left shoe - it looks as is it could break off any minute. However, they are lovely shoes and perfect for the dress but wrong size for sure!

Blogger Cateaclysmic said ... (9:43 AM) :

So beautiful xoxo

Blogger amd said ... (9:55 AM) :

love the dress, love the shot...
then you get to the shoes and they're great but i feel bad they don't fit her!

Blogger aaryn b. said ... (9:58 AM) :

The dress and the photo are sublime. But the ill-fitting shoes ruin it. I'm going to say there was some error during the fitting process, that the correct shoes didn't arrive and the designer just had to roll with it in the wings...

Yes. That makes me feel better.

Blogger Ms. Ladypug said ... (10:05 AM) :

stunning!!!
really sophisticated !

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:09 AM) :

This is a lovely dress that real women may actually wear.

Blogger chrys campos said ... (10:14 AM) :

poor girl, having to stand all the comments about her figure and the too small shoes that probably were uncomfortable as hell. and still she's the one wearing that fabulous (in its simplicity) dress. you can't take that from her :)

Blogger Mary Beth said ... (10:40 AM) :

I absolutely love the smocking. The whole look is so ethereal.

Blogger the nyanzi report said ... (11:20 AM) :

Preen is always on point. This piece only goes to further that point.

Anonymous fashionsdirtylaundry said ... (11:42 AM) :

This picture is absolutely phenomenal! Really, just stunning!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:48 AM) :

You took the picture at the right second as the model walked past you: the girl's posture, the way the dress hangs on her body, her hair flowing in the air, everything is perfect.

Blogger Allen - East Hampton said ... (11:51 AM) :

beautiful shot & great dress. this is what it's all about.

Blogger O_ Alentejano said ... (11:51 AM) :

Wonderful dress...Shame that the model looks like she's just came out of Sudan!! Can you please have some food?!!?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:59 AM) :

Ethereal. Romantic and modern. So breathtaking. I love the off white sheer with the palest grey shoe.

Anonymous Maude said ... (12:01 PM) :

Amazing dress, but the shoes are far too small for the girl, poor her! i'm sorry to note that, i don't usually see this kind of details, but that was too big (or not) !

Anonymous Sarah said ... (12:38 PM) :

Wow. That dress!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:57 PM) :

amazing dress, simply wow! it is a pity that girl's shoes are too small for her :(

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:07 PM) :

People! Models often just wear whichever shoe is chosen for the show/outfit. The shoes are not specifically sized for that model. Often they wear shoes that are 3 sizes too small or 3 sizes too big. If she's a tall thin model, there's a good chance she wears a size 9 and designers aren't exactly stocking size 9 shoes for runway shoes, they usually go much smaller.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:17 PM) :

Shocking to see how thin this girl is! Love, love, love the dress, not on her.

Anonymous Joanna Roman said ... (1:19 PM) :

oh yeah!!! The dress is just a piece of art!!! SO BEAUTIFUL!!!

Anonymous CoudreMODE said ... (1:20 PM) :

That dress has lattice smocking on it, not too hard to do with a machine called a smocking pleater. The fabric is run through threaded rollers that set the pleats on the cross grain, then the lattice is smocked by hand with embroidery thread. After the pleats and smocking stitches are steamed in place the cross grain threads are removed. Lattice smocking patterns are usually seen on baby clothes. It's great to see it on a woman's dress looking modern instead of something you'd see 100 years ago.

Anonymous Bonnie said ... (2:13 PM) :

You've got to be very thin to wear that dress, otherwise the belly will make you look pregnant.

Anonymous carole said ... (3:38 PM) :

Fabulous!

Blogger Aurore said ... (4:03 PM) :

This dress is light and chic, it's beautiful !

Blogger Grace Escudero - The Afeminada said ... (4:22 PM) :

This photo makes me want to be wrapped up in my silk sheets while drinking champagne and eating strawberries. This photo is decadent with so many layers-from the rough concrete floor to the pleating on the dress and the wispy hair. Pure perfection.

www.theafeminada.blogspot.com

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:22 PM) :

Not only is the dress beautiful, but so is the shot. Really stunning. That model rocked it even though her shoes are about 2 sizes too small. That's not easy folks.

Blogger BrokenGlassCarnival said ... (4:24 PM) :

What I think is funny, and what no one seemed to notice, is that her feet appear a little too big for her shoes.
haha

Overall a completely stunning picture.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:48 PM) :

all my attention went to the ill-fitting shoes. couldn't they fit her with some heels that would prevent her toes from dragging on the floor?

Blogger Penny Lane said ... (4:59 PM) :

this dress is perfect, and the photograph is amazing!

Anonymous Lindalou said ... (7:25 AM) :

It is an amazing dress but I cringed when I saw how thin the model was. Aren't we past the size zero issue now? Why can't the fashion industry use healthier looking girls? Make the samples bigger, it's not difficult.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:42 AM) :

Yeah I have enjoyed having smocking enter the realm of adults clothes in the last few years, but here it is not a detail, it is the main event. Cool. It would be very nice to touch.

Blogger Linda said ... (8:42 AM) :

Anonymous Carolyn said ... (9:12 AM) :

wow this is an amazing shot. you captured the natural movement of the dress so well

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:17 AM) :

All of your fashion show pictures are wonderful and the women are truly beautiful. What I seriously cannot understand is, why fashion designers dress their models up in fantastic dresses, but give them way too small sandals. Toes sticking out look very terrible and ruin the entire look.

Blogger Girls Guide to the City Author said ... (9:59 AM) :

did anyone else find the wigs/ clip on bangs in this show extremely distracting. I swear the first time I flipped through the looks on style.com all I saw was the awfully fake looking hair!!

I just cant get over the shoes that mean she walking with her toes on teh ground. When will the shoe-makers take women's feet seriously??? Who wants to pay $1000 and still be walking with bare feet in the dirt?!?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:28 AM) :

The matching curves in her hair and skirt are really beautiful.

As are the straight lines in the heels and her arms. That's a good photograph.
