I remember that song from: The Loving Spoonful. Fits perfect with the picture "... come on, come on and find a girl, come on come on and dance all night."
She knows the song and dressed accordingly

I love this photo, what summer is all about. Freedom.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:52 PM) :

This reminds me of when I was 20, going to NYU,and summers in that exact spot -- this is no doubt Washington Square. And that fountain IS so refreshing on a hot, humid Manhattan summer day. The exuberance and life caught in this photo says it all. And what a beauty she is. Takes this boy back to those wonderful carefree days -- when my biggest concern in life was trying to study for finals and get that hot co-ed to smile back. Thanks, Demian

I for one am surprised to find it on this blog. Nothing wrong with letting out your inner child and play in the water, but what does it have to do with fashion?

She's a beautiful woman, but I get a feeling that's the only reason why the picture got posted...

What a carefree world shes living in. She looks like she doesnt have a worry in the world except where her next towels going to come from. The denim above her head accents the photo so well. The water being splashed in the photo looks amazing as well. It helps make her smile stand out even more. Mystical I believe.

Washington Square Park? I remember when this was a dry, broken wasteland where a woman doing this would be inviting danger! Not sure I would go into this water.....Even Tompkins Square Park is filled with children when once this was needle park! NY: The city that never dies!
Joyful light in photo and from the smile. Nice. Sart. continues his "Blue period"?

I noticed a couple comments where people wondered what this lovely photo was doing in a blog about fashion.

What I love about your blog is that it actually touches on two related threads: one is fashion, and the other (more interesting to me) is about how people relate to the world around them through their dress and manners. In other words, it's about the wonderful invention and nuance that goes with personal style.

I must confess that the fashion part interests me less than the second of these. I'm a software designer, and don't know much about fashion (I enjoy the pix), but in the course of my work I often study how people interact with their world through media. Your blog about style approaches that same exuberant creativity through the medium of clothing. It is a beautiful, unique look at the wonderful, creative ways we project ourselves into the world.

Keep it up!
