Blogger Notes From ABroad said ... (9:54 AM) :

Very nice. A bit shiny there but nice.

Blogger Jenna said ... (9:58 AM) :

I love his watch!!! And his earring. I usually don't like guys with earrings but his is cool :)

Blogger Marta RLL said ... (9:59 AM) :

Take the rings out and he'd be perfect!

Blogger Kathleen said ... (10:01 AM) :

Perfection. Wow, what a nicely put together gentleman.
His suit, tie, shirt, and jewelry are both lovely and understated. Nice to see someone as young as he, already so well put together. Just think what he'll look like twenty five years from now! Gosh, do you think he has trouble getting a date?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:02 AM) :

Really nice, but I didnt like the gold rings and watch. I prefer silver ones. I love his shirt and the suit. It is nice the red detail on the suit.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:02 AM) :

i love the lapels of that coat.i am an hermes man myself, but that is a beautiful suit

Anonymous the boot said ... (10:05 AM) :

wow he looks young for this style, but he pulls it off! bello!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:07 AM) :

What I like most about this look is the red button holes at the lapel and cuff. They're eye-catching and they give the suit a bit of a kick. It's the details that get me, not the bling.

Blogger The Wild Fairy said ... (10:09 AM) :

Wow! Sharp! And smooth...

Blogger BDC said ... (10:09 AM) :

Love the gold watch, for sure. But the red detail on the lapel and cuff button holes is what makes the look for me.

Blogger The Sluice Box said ... (10:10 AM) :

That's an exceptionally beautiful shirt. Not sure he needed all that gold jewelry at the same time.

Blogger Chris Wolfgang said ... (10:13 AM) :

Oo la. Love the giant wristwatch. Too few people wear them, and they're such an intelligent statement.

Blogger Beverly. said ... (10:14 AM) :

This young gentleman wears more bling than I do. XD Nontheless, looking dapper!

Anonymous mariot said ... (10:14 AM) :

Blogger Karma Smycken said ... (10:24 AM) :

Men can definitely wear their share of jewellry when it is this well matched. Lovely!

Anonymous henry said ... (10:43 AM) :

interesting - did he re-fold his lapel over the third buttonhole? Love the contrast stitching on top and on the cuffs. Rings need to go, though. Just too much.

Blogger Pamela said ... (10:43 AM) :

WoW!

Blogger Bianca said ... (10:44 AM) :

love him!

Blogger Megui said ... (10:45 AM) :

altough his face doesn't really look italian, the way he wears the suit definetely is.
i usually find gols watches too much, but the effect in his look is gorgeous.

Blogger pRiyA said ... (10:49 AM) :

Wow!All buffed and polished and sparkling!

Blogger Unknown said ... (10:51 AM) :

The gold watch complements the understated wardrobe but the rings are overkill, and identical at that which is ridiculous. Lose the rings and it's close to perfection. Love those red seams on the buttonholes of the jacket!

Blogger Miss Ruby said ... (11:00 AM) :

He is dreamy! And I do love the watch!

Anonymous Foteini said ... (11:01 AM) :

the fancy watch and rings are ruining it for me...he is very handsome though!!!and the suit suits him prefect :P !!

Blogger graceland74 said ... (11:02 AM) :

I don't see many people wear their watch on their right wrist..he does, just like I do. He's cool.

contrast thread button holes, fantastique!

Anonymous AnonymousJK said ... (11:07 AM) :

Lookin' good in tha 'hood...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:09 AM) :

breathtaking!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:12 AM) :

Gold watches often looks very cheesy, but he pulls it of beautifully. It goes really well with the blue suit.

I'd definitely skip the rings though, and the tie knot is way to tiny!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:20 AM) :

Key thing are the red sewings, but gold watch + rings + earrings, not sure of it. The tie is fine, looks like a Bulgari.

Blogger the nyanzi report said ... (11:21 AM) :

Unmistakably Italian.
Super duper dapper.

Blogger Laurence John said ... (11:22 AM) :

now THAT is a high gorge.

Blogger Ozwald Boateng said ... (11:24 AM) :

The high notch lapel is very sharp, and the pop of red really commands attention. Unfortunately the gold kills the look off. Hands = Bob The Bruiser from Romford, Everything else = Italian gentleman.

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Ozwald-Boateng/108011655917365?v=wall

Blogger chiggafied said ... (11:24 AM) :

The red stitching on the lapel buttonhole is what makes this pop.

Otherwise, I think he could do without the rings.

Anonymous Adriana said ... (11:54 AM) :

My goodness!
Everybody is mentioning the watch, the rings. What about the fit of THAT suit...

Blogger anthony said ... (11:56 AM) :

The jacket fits beautifully across his chest. The shirt collar is smart and I like the small tie-knot. No fan of the bling.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:58 AM) :

Very nice! I especially like the tie and watch.

Anonymous davidsl said ... (11:59 AM) :

he is handsome and impeccably dressed, with attention to all the details.... and yet, there's something off about the outfit. it makes him look narrow shouldered and broad hipped. i think it's the wide, high notched lapel on the jacket.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:02 PM) :

Oooooh sexy man!

xoxo, http://heelsandwedges.blogspot.com

Blogger Devi said ... (12:04 PM) :

absoltuely love everything but the watch (too gold and showy)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:09 PM) :

Ok. There is a guy who would most probably make my head turn. But one look at his hands and I would surely turn, I mean RUN, away! If it was just for the watch, he could get away with it. But, the rings?

Blogger B. said ... (12:10 PM) :

Cute but the jewerly it's a little too much.

Blogger FASHION SNAG said ... (12:11 PM) :

Anonymous Laurent said ... (12:13 PM) :

The Sart. Blue Period continues. As noted by a fellow commenter, Blue suits, even very dark blue suits or pin-striped are hard to find in the US for some odd reason. I think the lapel was mis-pressed? I've never seen a button hole on the front of a lapel! Great fit- all else is flawless as well

Blogger the outfit diaries said ... (12:21 PM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:38 PM) :

great, seductive shot of an incredibly handsome guy. love the suit's red details, but the notches on the lapels seem unusually high to me. and i'll definitely pass on the gold watch. bling is fine, but here i'd opt for "less is more."

Anonymous jimjims said ... (12:38 PM) :

bling bling.

that tie is pretty snazzy!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:49 PM) :

I definitly don`t like it. Too much gold and a mobilephone in his hands. Looks more like a russian boy than an italian gentelman.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:50 PM) :

Fui.... looks like Christmas tree

Blogger Ashley said ... (12:50 PM) :

Wow that watch really pops!

http://fashionroadkill-halifax.blogspot.com

Blogger Becker said ... (12:53 PM) :

I think that's a cool look but better without this gold rings, definitely that's not the best jewellery option for this suit, Thanks.

Anonymous Atif K said ... (1:00 PM) :

The tie/shirt/suit combination is tremendous, but anyone notice his tie is a bit too long? Apart from that, I think he's on point

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:05 PM) :

lovin' him

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:09 PM) :

I love this suit, the high notches on the lapels, the cool red stitching on the buttonholes. I think maybe it's supposed to have the pressing of the lapels so that the buttonhole shows. I don't like the rings either, too much, but the earring and the watch are perfection.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:38 PM) :

Yes to all but i like silver more than gold, I think it matches most skin tones a little better. I like the red details on the suit a lot too. And Scott, when are you going to start shooting the shoes of these men? I really want to know what shoes they're wearing!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:38 PM) :

I agree, the suit does make him look narrow shouldered. And the rings are too much for my taste. Love the colors, though!

Anonymous Noa D. said ... (1:52 PM) :

ohh so chic, love it! and the golden watch is wonderful!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:53 PM) :

Do all Italian guys hand-carry their cell phones? Must be because they would cause a pocket to droop otherwise.

This guy's impeccably dressed. Not a rumple in sight.

Blogger Andrew So said ... (1:56 PM) :

I recognize this gentleman! He was featured in your blog before wearing a tan poplin suit and a rich, dark purple tie holding a cigarette.

It's fun to see the duality in comparing the two photographs. In the previous one, he's discreete; here, he's quite bold with his jewelry yet somehow subtley so.

Blogger Cobalt Violet said ... (3:25 PM) :

I am cracking up at the gal who said he must be gay because straight guys never look that good!
BUT darling, he is in Italy. And they do. ;)

Anonymous miselle said ... (3:29 PM) :

my heart seriously just fluttered a bit...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:36 PM) :

For me this is all about what's going on above the waist. The proportion of the lapels, shirt collar and knot: all are very flattering. He's like a John Currin painting.

The stitching details are great, too.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:46 PM) :

is having the lapel notch up on the shoulder seam common now? It lays perfectly so I'm guessing it is intentional.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:52 PM) :

A bit blingy--but an immaculate fit! More of these, please!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:56 PM) :

the gold watch shouldn´t be covering the shirtcuff! it should be halfway under it! good looking guy, nice neck but narrow shoulders, the suit is incredible, red detail on lapel and lapel itself, so chiq.

Wow after reading the comments I can't believe there isn't anyone that finds this look tacky- between all the gold and red stitched button holes....

Blogger lenmeister said ... (10:50 PM) :

Wow!! what a tie! Such a great combination. However, I'm not sure why EVERY single comment here just focuses on the pedestrian, arcane details about the gentleman's entire look! He owns this outfit, look at this posture! That perfect symmetry effect on each side

PEOPLE its about the wholesomeness, gestalt, seemingly effortless look of the attire. If we're to dissect everything one by one and comment on why or why not it works, we miss the picture itself! Please, lets be open here! Its like looking at a painting and focusing on the frame, or the contour!

The amount of jewelry isn't excessive (I don't think anyone will disagree with a ring on each finger and a watch.), but the size of them comes off a little tacky to me.

Couldn't really let this one pass. Have to agree with Ozwald...you know if your jewellery is over the top if it can be referred to as 'bling'. Strangely this guy is wearing this rather unmissable watch on his right arm (left handed perhaps?)

The suit is nicely cut and no doubts about it he is a trim good looking chap! Few pointers - tie knot should be bigger to fill the collar spread. Pocket square is a nice touch if a little close in tone to the shirt (avoid actually matching). The contrast stiching on the button holes (especially on cuff which appear to work) highlight this is a well made suit. Red is a strong colour to choose though for my taste...

No, there's too much going on there. He needs to cover the watch and remove one ring, at least.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:14 PM) :

great look. but i think he's too young for the gold watch.

Blogger Claud said ... (12:15 PM) :

Methinks he stood out because of the blings.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:53 PM) :

just take off the rings! please!

Anonymous Megan said ... (12:53 PM) :

His eyes drag you in, then the jewelery. I love the pocket.
He looks like a gentlemen version of Eminem!

Blogger Unknown said ... (12:53 PM) :

Wow, he looks so sharp!...very dapper!

Gold watch ? bad taste. What is it with dudes wearing nice suits, and a steam cooker for a watch?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:27 PM) :

I regret to say that the large, gold watch and both gold rings are simply too much. This handsome stylish young man sets the entire look back with so much gold. It detracts and overwhelms therefore taking away from rather that adding to what is already a marvelous look!

Ciao Amore!

I think its too much with that rings and watch!!!
Not a good combination of accessories. The one and only thing I liked is the red button hole detail of his suit...

Anonymous Despina said ... (4:12 PM) :

waay too much bling. But i like the little red details on the suit.

nice tailoring but i hate rings on middle fingers.

Yum. That man is the perfect accessory.

Very cool! I like the jacket detailing. http://domaineschematique.blogspot.com/

Bleh. I don't like this as much as everyone else. Look at where the notches on the lapels sit! Too high.
Wimpy know considering the cut and collar.

Blogger Unknown said ... (10:38 PM) :

Nice suit. Sharp shoulders, good color combo and the watch is a good accent. I wish the tie knot was bigger. The big collar with small tie knot seems out of proportion. Either a fat knot or a thinner collar with skinny wool tie would've worked better in my opinion.

Other than that, he looks sharp.

This blog makes me want to go to Italy just to sleep with men who look & dress like this. DAMN.

Blogger Liz S said ... (3:22 AM) :

For some reason I would not expect this fellow to wear bling. His fine (yet still powerful) features don't quite suit it to me. But I do love the earring on him. However--he is beautiful looking and his stance is sexy.
About the bling though--I think silver would have suited this blue suit tone more than this colour gold--or maybe a deeper toned gold? I normally don't like too much bling on men either, but I do think it can look great....and if he really had to...with silver bling this would have looked perfect in my eyes.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:42 AM) :

uhm. yes please.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:52 AM) :

mama mia ! Italian men dressed like this do it for me every time

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:46 AM) :

the gold watch is ruining the coherence, a simple old fashion but expensive looking watch would be much better. also rings on both hands, just too much, one would be fine..

I don't like the watch, I don't like the rings, but I like his shoulders.

Anonymous Best of Beehive said ... (10:37 AM) :

Now that's a guy who knows how to accessorize.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:39 AM) :

the too tight suit and too bold jewels turn this man's look from smart to pure SEX

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:45 PM) :

Awesome man, cool and charismatic glance!

Blogger Olivia said ... (12:53 PM) :

wow!!!! he is gorgeous!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:25 PM) :

I like the shirt collars, shirt cuffs, wide lapels on the jacket, and the detailing on the jacket (plus the handkerchief!).

But:
(1) there is too much bling (the watch is far too "shouty").
(2) the unbuttoned jacket cuff shouts "look at me! I have an expensive bespoke jacket!"
(3) a tie should show a full knot, particularly with wide collars. Otherwise it looks like it might belong to a schoolboy.

A couple of other picky points:
(1) his tie is too long
(2) his trousers are pressed carelessly, creating two creases on his right trouser leg. This kind of detail is important and would really finish the sharp look.

Even still, the overall look is quite stylish and just needs a couple of tweaks to look truly stunning.

Great blog by the way.
