Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:54 PM) :

Love the look off him and the guy behind. Classic and simple.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:54 PM) :

Summer chic! Like Isabelle pointed out regarding the stripes, I, too, love it. The different blue tones work very well, including the boat shoe. The glasses, the satchel, the wrist watch, the pocket square, all these details help to complete this gentlman's look. Why can't we have more men dress this way in the US, especially here in the San Francisco bay area. I'm tire of the hipster look which is messy and stinky looking. The Europeans and the Japanese totally get it!

Anonymous Manonymous said ... (4:57 PM) :

if he'd been a middle class white hipster it might have looked awful, but this chap pulls it off.

Anonymous Vafa said ... (4:58 PM) :

The most right guy, love the blue socks :D

Blogger Megui said ... (6:12 PM) :

the montblanc pen on his pocket gives him a little serious touch.
:)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:20 PM) :

love the man's look sitting behind him...ahhh, a man that wears a hat.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:36 PM) :

I always love a striped shirt, especially with a striped seersucker suit jacket. It looks so easy to do, but isn't. I think the shorts are a type of denim. We seems to be seeing a lot of denim this summer in Europe.

Blogger Kathleen said ... (6:37 PM) :

Aha! A second reference to Marimekko today. Yes, it looks like he's wearing the timeless Marimekko striped T-Shirt. I've got one too in brown.

Yes, he looks fantastic. I love the Seersucker jacket in the cooler classic colors for summer mixed in with... What am I saying? Everything this gentleman is wearing is classic, and I love how he's put it all together. He is one cool fellow. I love the elegant addition of the handkerchief. Very nice!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:10 PM) :

Interesting, chic, well-considered without being overdone. He looks great and he looks like himself.

Blogger Beril Öke Gülen said ... (7:10 PM) :

i like the look of the man sitting at the back, too :) esp. the hat..

Anonymous Gabor Simone said ... (7:21 PM) :

Sorry, nothing new or original here.

Layer upon layer of boring and clichéd dullitude, and the guy behind with identical glasses just proves the point... (and almost becomes another layer)

Hmm, I think he just crossed that fine line to fashion victimhood.

Blogger Brigadeiro said ... (7:26 PM) :

Love the contrasting stripes, different colours, different thickness and direction...still tied in together with those cool shorts and shoes...brilliant!

Blogger Francesca Robertson said ... (7:39 PM) :

Nice look all round. He is handsome and suave and has great legs!
I also like the looks either side of him. The check shirt is smarting as far as check shirts go--good depth of colour. And the hat and collared tee are perfect together on the other fellow.

Blogger Kathleen said ... (8:38 AM) :

Simple but highly calculated combination of stripes and solids. The addition of the Seersucker blazer with the cooler more traditional color palette for summer, is my favorite part of his outfit. And the handkerchief is so gentlemanly. He looks great!

Anonymous Emilie said ... (8:53 AM) :

Perfect right down to the pocket square!

Blogger waisted blazer said ... (11:04 AM) :

This guys has got it spot one. Great combinations of shades (all the different blues) and textures, stripes, hoops and plains. Shorts right length, just above the knee and the deck shoes are finish it all off. Little details again spot on (guffs, pocket square, bag and glasses) and all work together well. This is how a modern gent should dress in summer!

Anonymous jimjims said ... (11:09 AM) :

great balance of colors!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:48 AM) :

Kim Il Sung's brother is at the top left.

Anonymous Paul (UK) said ... (5:04 PM) :

Sweet. We should see more smart tailored shorts in the UK, they're a rarity. The deck shoes are timeless, but feel part of this 'uniform'? The guy to the right has an almost classic mod look, maybe that polo is a Fred Perry M12 (I understand the japanese are mad for these English styles?), the desert boots, hat, but the turn-ups are off - dark Levi's would make the set! Old school style still takes some beating...

Blogger niamh said ... (8:10 PM) :
