Comments on "First Steps Towards Fall!!"
He looks amazing and confident. It also helps that he's in really good shape. Isn't this the fellow in the wonderful wind breaker and v-neck t-shirt?
Nice... would be interesting to know where it comes from.
Very stylish!
Loving the belted cardi on him, great colour and simple and stunning pattern..
I think is Jill Sander..
LOx
Looks great on him. Being slim and handsome doesn't hurt, though. Same goes for the popped collar — I think the look would be less impressive if he wore the collar down.
Thanks for a great, insightful, entertaining blog!
Ah you missed out last year when villain did a very similar one but without the patterning.
i love this look as its one i've been rocking since, even down to the same specs!
Navy blue... so elegant and relaxed!
The fall fighter in blue. Interesting style.
I never thought a belted cartigan could look so manly. Please wrap him up, I'll take him to go! Yummy!
Can't get enough of Milan V! Just love him... and this cardigan is totally something I would rock. Casual chic at its best.
ok, so he's mmm....yes... very nice--and the cardigan looks fantastic. The thickness of the wool, the type of knitting stitch, the colour, where the main pattern lies all contribute. Also a slim fitting trouser with little bulk at the waistline help. Having said that I still do think you need to be slim, or at least proportionally slim at the waist, to look slim in these no matter what their design.
Oh, by the way-- he has beautiful hands.
Another great shot! I love the navy on navy, and the length of the sweater is definitely slimming. I like where the print lies, as well.
Can't wait for fall!
YES!!!
wow its gorgeous! and he looks great in it :)
Great Look. But I would prefer the Cardigan without the white
love it !
like like like :)
He looks gorgeous!

A little too soon for me.
That is a very good look!! Not Starsky and Hutch at all :-)
Scott, this photograph is a true testament to that elusive yet necessary element when it comes to men's dressing: swagger. A belted cardigan, on many, would read as too "dandy," but here, he wears it as effortlessly as a blazer. Confidence is everything!

the buttons make it
Love the navy and the white together! the glasses <3!!
xox
Very individualistic.
Absolutely love the way european men dress.... i think we need some to visit Australia :)
wow! ...lovely... wonder where these can be found!
Waooo!! The belt is the key!!!
i really like that sweater.
I love this look. A few years ago I thought of an idea of belting a cardigan but decided not to do it out of my own insecurities. I am excited that I am seeing it as a trend and looking as masculine as I knew it would look.
Ah this is lovely! Do we have any idea who makes this cardigan?
wow! amazing fit. & that pattern leaves me quite speechless
Yes, very trim and stylish. Plus, I have a thing for pharmacies, so thank you for the green cross. Nice shot.
i guess anything fits well on him!
xxxgloria
The belt makes it look too feminine! This sweater would only look good on a pretty boy not someone who is ruggedly handsome.
The cardigan is TRUSSARDI 1911 designed by Milan Vukmirovic who is wearing it on the picture
The pattern on the cardigan isn't my fav, but I love how slim it is and the belted look is different.
nice sweater!
xoxo

I can't wait for sweater weather!!
That's about the most modern looking cardigan I've seen. Nothing old mannish about it.
www.thesluicebox.com
i want the sweater!! xD
xx http://thestylecat.blogspot.com
can I ask when you took the picture? it looks like it's in Milan, but it has not been as cold as to wear such a sweater lately (lovely though)
I am for sure ready for some fall fashion!
oh its him again!
I love the cardigan! The pattern on it is perfect.

Taken in Milano???
beautiful

Definitely would't be that nice on everybody, but on him, looks perfect. And hot, actually...

American men just can't get away with this type of look. Why is that?
Reminds me of everything I love about the upcoming season :)
http://sevenstylenotes.blogspot.com/
Great knit!
Becca
very vogue and vass! he looks hot as well!
i am so excited for fall! my fav. fashion season = layering and gorgeous colors and fabrics.
this sweater is beautiful.

oh my is it fall already?
www.citizette.com
It's lovely!!! :)
Is it that chilly to warrant wearing a sweater yet already? He looks great non the less. Dig the aviator shades and the dark denim also.
I absolutely love this and am way too excited for the fall season, my fav of all!
Soo excited for fall. Wow, he looks so classy! I love it! And just fall layering fashion in general!

Yeah... not very flattering... but he walks with pride!
I loved! This cardigan is simple and casual elegant ...
That is the most classy and at the same time cosy cardigan look I've seen! Just an amazing fit!
he is dresses very well. he is handsome.
love love love!
the mix of badass and softness is most sexy
yes, yes, yes bring on autumn I say! Hot lattes and cosy knits, I can hardly wait for the days to turn cold and the leaves to fall...
As for this guy, well done! Usually the very idea this belted, patterned knit cardigan would send a shiver down my spine as cardigans on men can be SUCH a difficult look to pull off. This chap however, just does it perfectly and without looking tubby/naff/overly effeminate or try hard. Its a beautiful thing to behold. X
ella-lapetiteanglaise.blogspot.com
great cardigan and awesome belt design...
http://jimjims.net/
This makes me dream of fall. Warmly, Karen
love this. great pattern
Chic indeed!
Very nice! I suppose he would look good in anything though, he´s very good looking! @Liz S I noticed his hands aswell :)
84 in Florence today. hmm must be a fashion show
I love it, it really reminds me of the Dolce & Gabanna campaign for winter.
xoxo Sootjeelina <3
This man is one very cool character. Whether in Italy or NYC he is dressed warmly! He looks fabulous. The fit of his jeans, the causal t-whirt underneath, and then the belted sweater. How marvelous he looks. Love the Aviator sunglasses too. He is extremely self-confident, nearly gliding down to the street. Love it!
Cardigans on guys are hot...especially when they're in good shape...the guys that is ;)
xoxo
Gorgeous!!!!
Love the colors, and the lifted collar.
The pattern is so interesting, and
it´s placement in the garment slims his body even more. I don´t think this effect would work with with a dark color, white is just perfect.
Love your Blog!
I love bald men in aviators. so hot
Love it!!
wow he looks so classy and well-dressed... pulls this off perfectly!
check out our fashion and lifestyle blog The Mint's Tint
Chic and sharp beyond measure. Seriously never seen a cardigan look so good.
Wasn't expecting to like it but I did. I love the wide collar.
WOW! I wish more men dressed like this...I completely agree! It is really chic.
http://thelibertybelleblog.blogspot.com/
SO so handsome. Yum. Great style and I can't wait for fall.
It looks as though Milan V can wear just about anything he wants to AND get away with it. On lots of other men this would make me think of Val Doonican (1970s British TV show host famous for his sweaters)...
Aviator shades and a robe knit; loving it. My favourite type of pattern on the knit too.
Very nice.
www.purelovefashionn.blogspot.com x
Belted cardigans aren't exactly easy to wear... but I kind of like this; even if not enthusiastically...
http://www.isthisitmodelsreview.com/
I love that cardigan
Very stylish!
great cardigan
http://bulbizar.blogspot.com/
Ho-hum....too much blue. I don't know why, exactly, but these knits always look a little cheap.
Oh I just love knitted fall cardigans =) I agree, this one looks both chic and cozy!
cell phone, shades, broad shoulders, and a cozy navy blue sweater. the guy looks amazing!!
fashionanatomie.blogspot.com
This look Starsky and Hutch will last for ever?!
just delicious!!!
josie;)
Yes.Yes. Perfect with the indigo wash jeans and the plain white t. The scoop collar on the t-shirt and the popped collar on the sweater accentuate his gorgeous neck. The saved head and the shades keep it edgy. I own these Raybans and they have the wonderful effect of elevating any look to another level. Love 'em.
i love this photo, above all because the man reminds me of an ex-lover of mine:) i would fall for him not only in the fall:)
so wearable and what a great cardigan but i guess impossible to buy in any stores in berlin.
great photo and outfit!love it
Nice, love this!
This is the exact reason why i love pre-fall, fall and post.
the ease of the clothes, and the confidence EVERYONE exudes in this seasons clothing… people always feel very fashionable in this season... look at him… simple wrap cardigan, dark straight leg jeans and a tee…. looks as if he came straight of the runway of jill sander… yet approachable enough to stop and ask if he has the time…
*Guys* take note of the clean manicured hands...
Tommy ton takes almost the same pic of this gentlemen during the last pitti uomo except is wearing a crewneck shirt this thim and not a v-neck...
is the same person from FRIDAY, JULY 09, 2010 -- Hansom V-Neck man is what I believe was concluded about that photo!
I think you just stalk some Italians that you know will look Good :D Or is it that you come across them again?!? I am so curious, I keep thinking I see people posted more than once... what is your secret... how does this work...
:: pulls out hair ::
Oh Scott, your men are damn sexy, but please give us some women, too. Pleeease!
I do love his cardi though...
so simple and stylish, it shows that less is more!
I love love love Milan Vukmirovic...he is creative and talented plus a smart dresser!
Perfecto!
This sounds wierd...but his Ray Ban's really suit the shape of his face.
exudes masculinity and sexiness.
cheers,
JJ Scholl
Madonna, che coatto! XD
Good Heavens, what a man! XD
LOVE LOVE LOVE the loooooook!
I want it for myself!! Love.
Never thought a guy in a cardigan could look so stylish.
nice!
He's quite sexy and masculine... walking like a super hero....

-diary of a fashion stylist-
very very very good!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh my that's lovely.
I live out here in a secluded spot on the Left Coast...so, all these guys in that shade of blue, is it that the blue is ubiquitous, or that your eye is caught by that shade of color? out here, it is what I see on the shoulders of the foothills as twilight drops onto the Willamette Valley...
i love the cardigan.

wow what an amazing cardigan! i love it!
I know how much you detest chunky knits, but there's something about a man bundled up in a lamb. But hey, maybe it's just my penchant for lumber jacks
WHERE is it cool enough to wear this right now? I want to go THERE.
Great photo, great look, but never knew men wanted to feel cozy in a sweater!
Completely Love it!
Gooorgeous...stylo..
Hi Sart...
I remmembered that you had snap him for afew times in your blog...
Whatz his name?
mind share...
i wanna google him for his kool style...
cheers
adi SG
Great!
But is this just another example of "you cant enjoy 'fashion' properply unless youre a certain body type" ?
love the look of this guy!which city is he in?
im a girl, and i really really want this sweater!!
Classic and casual love the Ray ban touch.
Does anyone know where this cardigan is from? Please...? Help...? Love me...?
I love this knit. I may be wrong but those buttons look like Vivienne Westwood buttons to me.
Like the sweater, but not as good as the other ones before it.
http://rawbeautyrawsoul.blogspot.com/
A belted cardigan will always scream bathrobe to me. It's just a little too function-less for my tastes on something already buttoned.
Great cardi, but Scott where is Garance?? Is she ok? Its been too long between her posts and Im worried something has happened to her?
milan! He's always so chic..his face reminds me of actor joseph gordon levitt..very boyish but feminine
finally, cardigan that looks like bath-robe
Very nice...fall and navy, very easy to wear...Luv'it!
so stylish, love that cardi! wow!
www.abitoffashion.com
Love it and he looks great! Wouldn't mind borrowing his sweater...
I am a girl and I wish I could pull this off half as well as he does!
looks cool.. only a few people can get away with that look.
www.siamstylista.blogspot.com
i can't wait until summer is over!
Hhe is great - I think his whole mien has a lot to do wit it.
My only tiny objection is the sleeve length. I wish he had wore them pushed up to show a bit of wrists, as the gentleman bellow does. That's my personal credo for wearing chunky knits - managing the perfect sleeve length.
I like it!!
fantastic cardigan. i'd love to have one of these. ;)
pipesandsneaker.blogspot.com
I like it. It's perfect cut, slim and yes a man can be chic sometimes!
Finally a belted cardigan???? oh, just what we have all been waiting for....lol
I thought of it the in the first picture but now I have to publicly admit it I AM IN LOVE!!! hahahahah
I love this kind of ski knitwear! And it is unusual to see it in this style, and it looks great.
ivestiti.blogspot.com
This is a great casual look, and the sweater really enhances his great physique. Ski sweaters can be tricky, but he pulls it off very well.

simple but chic!
beautiful sweater!!! i love the color !!!
xxxxx
http://anexceptiontomyrule.blogspot.com/
I love the Navy blues I'm seeing...that why its may fav!
The neck on the white shirt seems a little low to my eye. Droopy almost. The rest is perfection
hot damn! Totally chic!
wow. so damn fine! love his sweater!
xx
I like this look, but am not in love with it. It reminds me of '70's ski sweaters, which I'm not a fan of, being Canadian and seeing them everywhere. He is hot though.
What a terrific look - the guy MUST be Italian, right?!!
So chic!!
xx
http://www.heavy-shot.com
Alpine sweaters = win.
Bring on the fall! I cannot wait to wear my boots and start layering clothes!
perhaps you've described the man and not the sweater.
*sP
A great look and beautiful details(buttons)However, works only on the very slim and fit, a bit of a belly would cancel this out as an option! I would prefer a shirt other than a white "undershirt" T, Again, please, I hope Sart. takes more photos of US males to show all those commenting that there are men here who "get it" After all, NY is really a part of Europe! So different from the country West of the Hudson!
Oh, YEAH! Great look, however a little bit too feminine for me (somehow)...maybe because, however I do appreciate men with good posture / fit...I do not like the "tight" outfits on them?
I am so in love with this man.
I am so in love with this man.
love it. this guy looks so chic
He is The Real Man...
Love,
Beny Ricardo Sadewo
http://www.showoffdotnu.blogspot.com/
I LOVE this sweater, can't wait for fall!
This is all about the fit and confidence of the wearer.
Wear it baggy and roll your shoulders - it's a granddad sweater.
A fine line between granddad and hip.
the guy looks like jason statham :) then again, this post is about the "look" and it is faaantastic! i wish someone can come up with a similar look for a tropical country :(
Is that Italy? Is it cool enough to wear a sweater!??
Oh, yeah, he looks great.
is he the guy with that perfect V-neck tee?
love this cardigan but it's too hot here in HK to ever touch this lovely piece...
AMAZING! I can't wait for fall!
Polo Ralph Laurens has been doing them for ages. This looks like a Gant cardigan and they tend to ripp everything from Ralph Lauren. Gant are like Ralph Lauren with low self esteem. Basta
I dont know about that sweater but this man is very fit and has good posture so he could wear most things well. It helps that the colors are tasteful. I like the navy blue mood here.
Wow so chic and cool!
simple, solid, effective combinations, and easy inspiration. thanks scott.

A cardigan like that is really a blessing when it`s getting chilly...
Lovely....
A belted cardi for a man can be a tricky thing to pull off, but he looks great!
Milan V is looking more butch by the day. And the work outs are paying off!
I wish his face weren't as hard, but I can't fault that outfit and those shoulders and hips!
Great look for autumn!
With me having a slight obsession with sunglasses I'd say most people can't successfully pull off a pair like that but I suppose he did. My obsession does lean towards Maui Jim and the Maui Jim Sugar Beach model may be a good substitute :)
Milan, Milan, Milan! Hotness, always, and just makes the right choices, always! I mean, who woulda thunk a belted cardigan can look masculine and trendy all at once! He's becoming my male Giovanna!
Energie
It's not the cardigan that's slim and chic! It's him - yummy!
Seeing this in august reminds me that september is right around the corner. how fast the years disappear is a reminder to take advantage of every opportunity possible. this gentlemen is doing exactly that, taking advantage.
www.jessicarepetto.com
www.midnightdreamboat.blogspot.com
it looks great!! i'd like to get one, too!
I like the pattern embedded on the cardigan.
It looks so intricate yet not trashy and old fashioned to look at.
The belt is another plus.
Where can I get one of these? or at least something similar?
Thanks for posting..
nooo... please not yet...
Ah... I love your photos!
And I have the biggest crush on him.
xxxx
Bisous!
Cozy, but still could kill somebody! James Bond villian on holiday.
www.jasonromaine.com
A great Style icon he is - Milan Vukmirovic!
http://trackfindings.blogspot.com/2010/08/persona.html
is this the same man who effectively sported the v-neck tee and looked amazingly delicious?
wow... so in love <3
Whoever he is, this man always looks great. Where does he find these clothes??
Amazing! *.*
where can i get this gorgeous cardigan!?!?!?!?
LOVE this cardigan! I'd totally rock that with a pair of leggings or skinny jeans and knee-high (or higher??) boots for fall...couldn't come soon enough!!
Tessa
http://eats-shootsandleaves.blogspot.com/
nice!
If only aussie men dressed so well! It really shows the impact clothes have on a mans sex appeal!
Can I get my boyfriend this cardigan...!
Loose the belt, and it's a winner.
Love the cardi!
this dude does amazing at making the douchiest clothing look good.
He looks amazing. A kind of man id like to marry ....someday. If theres any like him left for me. Hmm..Maybe Italy is not that far away from Greece.
I love the outfit on him, very stylish and masculine.. but let's face it, what really makes this outfit work is the man wearing it. anyone who thinks a belted cardigan can be pulled off by someone with "regular body" is lying to themselves.. this man has the shoulders of an olympic swimmer and the waist size of a Prada model. I would estimate his body fat percentage to be anywhere near 0.01% so yea..
seeing this makes me have confidence in our men...
what a GREAT sweater!!!!
