Pure comfort! And I love how her belt is offset.
What a tomboy! (:
I like her glasses.
Peace and love!

we love this careless look! very fresh!
just cool!!!!!
I love her jeans.
my favorite summer style.
Thick belts are great with light shirts.
I really love her hair, it frames her face so well. This outfit is great for hot and humid NYC. I especially like how her belt buckle is pulled to the side. Very cute.
I love her jeans!

Yes! Summer perfect, adorable. All the young girls have been looking like they've been trying too hard lately with the whole boho eighties whatnot. I get shaggy. I love shaggy. But this young woman actually has clean hair! And BTW Falke makes really excellent low peds that you can't see at all when wearing converse.
Love this look! Everything about it. She just looks so comfortable and that haircut is great on her. Everything looks just so effortless, but chic.
What lens did you use for this shot, the shots of the Jazz party and your recent Italian shots? I assume you are using the 5DMkII, but I'm curious about the lens.
Gear aside, it's a real pleasure to look at your work. Truly a gifted photographer.
Charming. <3
So cute! Love the belt and haircut!
I love this! The look is so relaxed.

Everything in this works for me - I love the distress of the jeans, and her glasses are simply too sweet for words.
becca
rad.
she's got a tinkerbell vibe goin on.
Loving the casual look. Great shot.

Goes to show you that a pretty girl can wear just about anything and look cute.
Stylistically, this ensemble really doesn't "do" anything for me. The ripped jeans - seen it - the wife beater style tank - seen it - the big leather belt - seen it and those awful, ever-present Converse type sneakers - seeeen it.
Keep 'em coming - can't get enough of this blog!
I have a very similar pair of jeans. H&M Boyfriend's, last season. Seriously the most comfortable jeans I own; plus, they don't make me feel like I'm close to break into spontaneous combustion.
I do not have, however, that lady's effortless sense of style. Wonderful, especially the necklace. A very delicate touch in her tomboyish look.
its just effortless beauty!
Adorable -- casual, relaxed, comfortable and effortlessly done. The haircut is precious on her! The epitome of throwaway chic.
so so cute, love the rolled up jeans and crop - I'm craving a coffee right now!
pretty sure i saw her at the golden triangle/the oh sees show at the seaport last friday. even more fresh in person...
Love this look. Easy, comfortable and stylish.

Fresh from a Dexy's Midnight Runners video shoot.
Good to see an American woman that dares to cut her hair short. Also, glasses are nice. Otherwise, shapeless clothes on a potentially good looking woman,
Oh I love! What fabulous jeans!

Hell to the yeah.
comfortable, easy, cool...I like it!
Like the hang-loose feel. And summer is the time for super-faded denim.
Question re below-ankle socks: Someone whose sartorial opinion I eminently trust says that anklets are always a no-no. Guys, girls, no matter. More and more I am seeing his point. Imagine her with thin, slouchy socks, in a neutral (heather grey, perhaps).
I don't know. Anklets don't offend me as much as they do him. But I do think that guys look better in crew athletic socks than the anklets that some wear nowadays.
Classic is always best. I mean, would your dad wear anklets?
I so loved her haircut :)
i've always loved off-center buckles
oooh im loving this~
She is natural and beautiful!
Her style is great.
it takes a special girl to wear this ensemble and still look pretty: she takes the cake!

This is a very cute, worn, androdgynous look.
I have your book,
I bought another copy for a friend's birthday today.
I long to be in your next book
so laid back ... lovely.
Simple and very cute
I wish I had the guts to cut short hair like that. Adorable!
One of the best, most refreshing photos I've seen! I had a gloomy day today and seeing this brightened my evening!
VERY VERY cute and I am super envious of her hair!!
Oh she's a cutie!
So relaxed. I love it.

Love her boyfriend jeans....and her hair.I wish I had the courage to get a haircut like that. So cool:)
Nice pic. ;)
What a style!!!!
Totally impressive!!!
I love the jeans. I had a pair like that in the 80's. I loved that time, and the photo takes me back. And I like her, she is very easy breezy, kind of like youth should be.
i think i'm officially obsessed with this outfit....some serious must haves there! great sighting!!!
This is such a great casual look for her and she gets away with it oh so well.

That is actually West 25th Street (btw 7th & 8th). I know because I can see my apartment building! This is probably as close as I will ever get to being on The Sartorialist!!!!! Nice shot (as usual) too....
love this blog- always inspires me!
have started a blog wearing second hand clothing for the next 100 days.. would love to see what you think
http://recycledrose.wordpress.com/
very pixie and natural - stunning face, clothes hmmmm - nothing that great, looks comfy though!
25th St
Oh, she's gorgeous--so cute pretty and still a bit of mischief in those eyes. Love that grunge look--it may well have been done many times before but there's a reason for that--it looks cool, relaxed, carefree. It also breaks some of those boring neat and tidy traditional boundaries with it-- many of us need to do that sometimes.
She does do this look exceptionally well though I think.
it's the hair. i've dressed like this before and i'm sure i don't look half as cute...
wow, it's amazing, I really like this look! :)

Many would consider this fashion entropy...Yet, I believe, the comfort that emanates from this outfit represents control and a strong sense of self. Love.
Je n'aime pas du tout ce look à la garçonne, mais ça lui va très bien!
http://www.larmoiredondine.com
love this look so much! She's so cool! wow!
www.abitoffashion.com
absolutely simply cool
Behold! An urchin! (And a really comfortable-looking urchin, at that...) :) Love that she can do cute without being twee and charming without being precious.
I love it,it's so simple,so cool!
Oh my goodness! She looks too cool! Not every woman can pull off this look!
Embracing Style
I love her hair and her jeans :) I WAAAANT:)
Love the belt is a bit wear on the side! Cool and sweet as a slip of sorbet in hot summer!
it's impossible to express how much i love this. reminds me of a grown up tomboy...hopefully the boys she used to play baseball with will come and check her out
She is gorgeous! I love her hair, her tank, her belt, her jeans. And thinking that this could look so bad in someone else. This is the proof that style depends on the wearer...!
Chic
so simple and beautiful.
la roux??

Boyish style. Like it!
COOL. laid-back.. iLOVE!

I am in love with her.
Always wonder how to wear the sleeveless cardi. I guess it requires a cool haircut.
http://ontheglam.com
She looks like she belongs on the streets of London in 1850.
love the jeans and simple tank
http://chaoticdesolation.blogspot.com
I love her. A simple beauty. Something is shining from within!
perfect style!
Man, she's gorgeous. I love how the colour of her frames ties her look together.
Lovin the off centre belt buckle and holes in the jeans
xo wwww.fashion-feline.blogspot.com
she really looks nice. the tomboy look fits her much. can we say stylish.
I've always loved this look, so carefree, the jeans slouchy, with holes, and big belt, runners. What's not to like?
really really fine!! :D
Pretty with comfort.I love rolled jeans.
I bought your book last week in Madrid, great photos
Adorable, what the French call "garconne." However, I really hate fake distressing on jeans. You gotta EARN that wear and tear so unless this girl was hit by buckshot it's fakey. Love the gamine haircut.
cool frisyr !
perfection.
she's gorgeous! love her hair so much!
love the off-centered belt
Gorgeous.
That is all that needs to be said.

I love how it looks effortless in her simplistic, thoughtful, and unique style. And her haircut is perfect.
she might seem casual, but this outfit is really complicated really. look at her ripped jeans, the belt and the vest!
I love her, love her style!

Reminds me of my younger days, summer in the city.
She looks great wearing that casual outfit.
i love the relaxed feel, completely effortless!
I love it! so comfortable hahaha, is lust a little like me. I like the haircut :)
follow my blog: designremiendos.blogspot.com
This girl does look cute, but there is little in the clothes I find attractive. Ragamuffin chic. Just proves a pretty girl can look good in just about anything.
I am in love! :) great outfit!
She makes Ted Koppel hair cool.
Cuuu-uuute!
Come to Seattle where you can see this kind of fashion nearly every day. In winter just add some fleece! LOL
what a pleasant surprise - isabella and i went to school together.
ps: she's british, not american.
I love that she's retaining delicacy even in this tomboy-ish, relaxed look. Her teeny little necklace is lovely. It acknowladges the delicacy in her features.
how cute! especially i love her hairdo.
i wanna be her friend!
Sneakers is gerat.
I love this completely relaxed style. It speaks of the 80's while still retaining the chic look of today.
in her own groove. yup.
see this is how i love fashion to be. so effortless and perfect. the offset belt is something i've done for awhile, but somehow this girl just pulls everything together insanely well. love it.
this is so pretty in a tomboy way :)

i wonder what music she was listening to? Dexeys Midnight Runners Maybe?
Love the off center buckle! Pure comfort! Although i'm not really a fan of the converse-type shoes...
ohh i love, im completely captive
I really love this look! It looks so... comfortable, so relaxed. It looks great.
Oh my, I have those exact shoes, had them for 5 years now! love this look.
Love the haircut, it's so fresh and modern.
The outfit rocks, too! The belt buckle off to the side is a nice touch.
