Comments on "On the Street....Military/Floral, Milano"
I'm completely smitten with this look. It's how florals should be done. Also, love her excess accessorization, so stylish and unique..
I have the exact same jacket!
Woooww! Stunning! The colour combination is really inspiring.
Beautiful colours!
She' got a jacket like mine and I love it. She's lookin' great.
I love the colors, the association so original between the military vest and cute flowers dress.

Love the colors. The ruffles. The mix.
This is an good example of mastering contrasts. Nice dress, like a summer rich garden.
¡wow! Gorgeous!!!
nice
This the same jacket that Garance shot, yes? I loved it with the denim and I love it with this dress! Gorgeous!
floraals built into the dress pretty cool
Gorgeous dress, beautiful contrast.

lovely dress! so femminine. And the bag also looks great!
I love military jackets especially with something feminine like this lovely dress. Great style inspiration!
Don't think the glasses suit her. They sit too high on her nose.
Otherwise very nice.
she looks like Patti Smith when she was young! The dress is lovely!!
I love the contrast of the military jacket and the softness of that pretty dress.
I like how she put a military jacket over such a girly look. :)
Love the dress--the dye colours are rich and earthy. Not sure about this shirt/jacket with it--maybe from a different angle? It seems to sit slightly odd.
I love the colors in that floral print and I love how she toned down the femininity with that jacket.
Love this dress and jacket combo, looks amazing, great mix up with summer and military i agree Meera
Love the combo. Gives me inspiration on how to mix my military jacket like this one.
Can't believe someone is complaining about the 'fit of her glasses'. Jeez.
Voguette Aurora! Yess always great class!
i like this pairing... military with girly, it's classic.

I keep thinking this is a floral print when actually its a painterly fabric made to look floral by the colours and embellished hem. Its gorgeous. Love her trinkets too.
The jewel tones in her dress are so perfect with those deep green trees in the background. I love her random assortment of accessories- it's so effortlessly cool.

perfect. love it.
Great way to fem-up the military look! Love it.
i am IN LOVE with that dress, j'adore!
I love military jackets, and this combination is just so perfect. She always looks incredible, and this is no exception.

how could you resist a girl like this!? I sure couldn't =). Are those Oliver Peoples sunglasses? fabulous.
I like it

I can't wait for the crisp, cool fall so I can wear my father's Air Force jacket from Vietnam again! Such inspiration.
Looove the dress and the purse. I would wear this outfit with pleasure, that's for sure!
oooohhh.. cool. amazing! its beautiful!

Nice mix!
Amazing look, I love it! She's so cool!
Adorable. Who makes that Military Jacket!!!!
this is so cool. what a good combo. im loving the random bits of jewelry. and the bag!
www.andhazel.blogspot.com
Absolutely positively love the dress.
OMG. Love the chic-ness of this girl. Love the sunglasses!
What a beautiful dress and a daring combination. I would be scared a jacket like that would take away from the dress too much, but it works wonderfully.
absolutely love the contrast; it's so outstanding.

Floral + Military = Yew!
http://jimjims.net/
Beautiful dress!
Military jackets have to be my favorite look this season!
Becca
that dress is unreal. i love the mix of styles here.
http://www.forefrontfashion.com
I like the colors at work here.
I don't understand this military/fatigue/work jacket combined with pretty dresses. Is it an attempt to hide the dress? If you wear a dress, wear it with pride- this one is beautiful. I am sorry, but this appears to be a twelve year old who insists on wearing her favorite jacket over her party dress. Grow up.
That dress is amazing! I also like her little accessories.
Thanks for the inspiration! Since I have the same jacket, now I only need the dress....
I am going to a wedding this weekend and will wear my old green flight jacket over my linen suit. I am sure the bride will consider me tres chic. Maybe she'll wear a jean jacket over her gown. Please, look at the "jazz age" photos again.
I wish I could see more from the dress, because the part of it, that I can see, looks amazing!
love her dress (:
omg. this dress is so beautiful!
great picture.

In my opinion, olive green is like black - you can wear it with any color.
Color-wise, this is nice. Shape-wise, I don't think it works. The ruffled dress with the slim-fitting jacket of almost the same length - bad proportions.
Pretty girl, nice hair, nice shot.
absolutely love it. it's inspiring.
Fab garden party camo! You could hide behind the flowers and blend in perfectly.
Great look. I have been looking for a jacket like this.
It's nice and simple! Not too short, and not too long, not too bulky. Anyone know where to find it?
I am in love with this look! The jacket contrasts so beautifully with the dress. x

Beautiful colors and perfect mix!
Greetings from Milan.
LOVE THAT DRESS!! :)
www.lipsandpoppies.blogspot.com
i'm in love with that ruffled edging on her dress. also, love how she is bare-faced, but wearing such a fancy frock mid-day.
I really love your photos, they're amazing!
NICE DRESS! COLOURS ARE AWESOME! WANT IT ON MY WARDROBE!
http://malatendida.blogspot.com :)
i love military jackets and this outfit is lovely!
http://blowalittlekiss.blogspot.com/
Her dress is fabulous!
Yes please! From the dress, to the florals, to the ray bands and jewelry, yes please!!!

Wow, nice look. Simple and interesting and functional. The Military/Safari jacket adds a flavor to a cheery, fun underpinning. I recently posted regarding Safari jackets.
Like it; Sandinista chic

Incredibly sweet colors!! I love the juxtaposition of the masculine and feminine here...very cool silver rings too
Really lovely!!
Delightful and unexpected pairing.

Never thought this combination would work, but it totally does
xo www.fashion-feline.blogspot.com
I dunno, I'm not fond of this combination, the jacket looks dumb on top of a full dress like this. I like the dress, but it's a tad too girly for me. I prefer the girl in the second picture, just natural and with a nice stance. She seems burdened to me, with her bag and her rings and her jewelry in general.
I ADORE this dress . It is wearable artwork that I want to have to show off on the streets. Such simplicity yet timelessness.
In love.
XOXO.

Such a feminine, beautiful dress, I love how she added the military jacket to it.
http://tovogueorbust.blogspot.com/
adorable combination...she's very beautiful
i am in love with her brown bag. I have something similar in my collection.
http://ollycollection.blogspot.com/
I think we see a lot of this look lately, the floral dress with the military coat..however she makes it all look very personal and not as trendy as some others...her eclectic mix of her clutch and jewellery play a big part in making the look all her own...overall I love it :)
http://threadsonskins.blogspot.com
Re the resemblance to Patti Smith. I don't think Patti Smith would go near a floral ruffle at gunpoint. How about it Patti? Do you follow Sart?
I have this jacket! whith the dress...is perfect!
I'm not a girly girl, but even I fell in love with that dress. What rich colors and textures!
We can tell she chooses her outfits and accessories with what she really likes. She is a person with taste and knows how to match everything without being pretencious.I wonder what kind of shoes she's wearing...
In response to Laurent. . . Perhaps she was trying to look like she was 12 because she wanted to have a fun, playful day with her wardrobe. Perhaps it's a nice summer day in Western Europe but it's breezy enough to wear a light jacket. Perhaps she's a sitting editor at Vogue Nippon and she's embodying the Japanese sensibility to mash an abundance of trends together to convey a unique look. Perhaps she really wants to wear her favorite jacket of the moment (which so happens to be a militaristic one) and a dress (in floral) and fell in love with the contrast (also evident in her choice of accessories). Perhaps she's on her way to a show during men's fashion week and not a wedding and she doesn't care what anyone, especially the bride, will think. Perhaps you should have more fun with the way you dress albeit however old you are and stop making snarky comments at the expense of one's personal style. This is fashion and reality at its best, so get over yourself.
GREAT LOOK!!
I just love how the military style can be mixed with anything. Fantastic!
Adore the combination... so much casual - and not excessive or snazzy, not at all. Lovely and bright.
http://www.isthisitmodelsreview.com/
She knows not to make this look too fussy. Imagine this outfit matched with an updo and au courant aviators? She keeps it boho without looking hobo.
Nice juxtaposition.
So pretty, the bright frothy dress peeking from all those browns, I wish I could see the dress entire. It looks like it's designed as shirt collar and buttondown on top -- unexpected in contrast to the feminine tiers of the skirt.
http://cloudofsecrets.blogspot.com
who makes the sunglasses?!!
i think she has a lot going on, but somehow she makes it work.
love the bottom of the dress! Amazing!Looks like scrunchies.
Effortless. Love the contrast between the military jacket and the super-girly tiered/ruffled multicolored dress.
O look está lindo, mas esse "cabelinho" dela não está ajudando.

very nice post!
come check out my update of wt i wear today!

Love the ruffles!
nice rigid and dainty combination. and her accessories are perfect to complete the look.

My fav mix & match !
I love this look so much and it absolutely inspires me to stop dressing so safely. I adore the dress its pretty funky for a floral number, and everything she has put with it lifts it above the ordinary.
This outfit is gorgeous!!
xoxx
What a lovely dress! the combination with the military jacket is great and so unexpected
I love the dress! Its so cute :)
Love the combo so much! Perfect!

Love the contrast between the floral dress and the army green jacket. oh so chic!
http://millicentelizabeth.com
Like everything individually but it just looks so fashion-slave contrived. Mash-up has become a tired trend instead of an authentic response to an individual's many facets.
Love the pastel combined with floral!
Love the dress! Does anyone know who designed it?
Now I understand the "inner conflict" you wrote about. Her floral ruffles jar unforgettably with an altogether feminine take on a military jacket.
I adore this photo and wish we could see her shoes!! Beautiful.
this is probably the perfect summer outfit. She mixes two bang on-trend styles and still manages to look totally unique. Xxx
wonderful look!! the floral dress paired with that utilitarian olive green jacket is pure perfection!
I absoulutely adore that jacket!!! i want the exact same one, I would wear it with everything!!
I love her jacket and her accessory choices are really interesting. Her dress is so beautiful! The outfit really works. I've writen a piece about mixing trends such as this on my blog.
www.stylenevergoesoutoffashion.blogspot.com
I LOVE the dress! Anybody who knows where to get it?
beautiful !!
perfect mix ; ))
the jacket and dress combo loooks amazing :) xx
http://kolorkrazedolly1.blogspot.com
Such a pretty dress.
The military jacket, IMO, doesn't add anything to it.
to Cruz, perhaps with an apology: I accept your critique but perhaps I did not convey my impression correctly. I applaud all attempts at style,My wife is a former Ford model, now in her 30s, very au courant, and has an eclectic, dynamic style which I applaud and encourage. I just can't understand this apparent "work" jacket/dress trend, and hoped for explanation!
More to Cruz, et. al. I guess it is these "mash ups" I don't like.
I interpret it as a non-commitment to a style, as if one wants to wear a feminine dress but has to negate it with a grunge element. No matter the "statement" I dont think the visual design/color complement works to show any pre-thought design concept, but that's me.
i also completely approve of and would love to bring into my life the military jacket- floral look coz\ i sometimes think im too flowery and butterfly-y. her accessories are a bit messy though, dont match up up, not even in a "meant to be messy" manner.
I am love love lovinggg this look right now. military jacket on the flirty dress is perfection !!!
-S
this look brings such a smile!
i love this combination - it brings out the best of both worlds ..would love to know what she's got on her feet?
Very inspiring!
I love everything about her outfit. The mannish military jacket, the playful rosette dress and the jangle of jewelry. I also love that her hair is a simple ponytail with no heavy makeup. She looks great. Oh and the tan bag works well too. black would have been too heavy.
wow, where can one get this dress? anyone know?
Love this outfit!
It's like J.Crew-ish.
luv luv;)
beautiful dress!
i have this exact outfit, only mine is entirely thrift, cost me less than $10, and thanks to a little easy tailoring is totally one of a kind and fits like a glove. thanks for validating my thrifty leap of fashion faith!
I am starting to really love floral items! The mix of it with military works perfectly!
www.memoriesrightnow.blogspot.com
wow. everything about this is a mess. the glasses. the purse. true, military can be a cool contrast with feminine, but definitely not working in this case.
FANTASTIC!!!!!
interesting colors!

Fabulous outfit, I adore!!

Love. Her. Dress.
Does anyone know who the label is?
what a lovely dress! i wonder how it looks like without the blazer..
I love that print! Seems like such a pretty dress to hide!
aurora sansone or patti smith?
great women the both
Just love the combination of the floral dress and army jacket!
www.nolitavintage.com
The combination of the military and the floral give a clashing outfit that makes for a unique look. With the military jacket you get a sense of a informal laid back tom boy but with the floral dress you get the sense of a formal high society girl. These two combined makes a look that is utterly adorable and unforgettable.
Wow. Per. Fect. Ion.
wish i could see more of the dress...looks fabulous!
I LOVE this look! It's definitely something I'll be wearing for fall. I've gotten some other ideas from the runway shows on www.runwaypassport.com.

Love the juxtaposition of the feminine dress with the military jacket!

love
The dress is by Opening Ceremony. It's sold out though but if you look at the website you can still buy some items in the same print (shorts, pants).
i love that she makes it look all effortless yet quirky and stylish - all that while maintaining the character within.
Neen
I adore this dress! I can see why it sold out. It's the perfect summer dress--not too casual, not too garden party.
lovely dress
I love the juxtaposition of military and floral, soft ruffles and functionality.
I love this outfit! it's amazing!
She knows how to wear that dress!
=)
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!
